This could be just my anxiety, but I felt like we were treated a little bit less warmly by some of the staff than other tables. For example, a manager of some type was walking the floor. He stopped at the table before us and checked in on them, skipped us and went to the table after us and checked in on them, and then only on his way back to wherever he was going, he stopped reluctantly and acknowledged us. It definitely made me feel like we were not as welcome as the other tables. Second, I don't like the inclusion of the picanha for the higher price (vs. what they were doing before which was an upcharge if you wanted the steak), because the protein that I like at Casa Pollastro is the chicken. I don't really love their steak and do not want to pay $10pp more for it. Lastly, what I had loved about this restaurant in the past was that it felt like I was enjoying a meal at a family home, served with love and care. I think that they've made some changes which are smart for a restaurant, but it took away a lot of the warm and fuzzies for me. It felt like they're trying really hard to be a high-end restaurant but what I remember from this last experience was coldness and putting profit first.
