My first time here trying their food. By far this is the best lamb to have in Texas. Food was on point fresh. Service was good and welcoming. I dont care about the ambiance if the food is good . Go eat some quality food.

When we first walked into Hadramout Restaurant, the place was filled with smoke from the grill, which was overwhelming. We also noticed a lot of flies around, which was concerning. The waiter, however, was friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us, recommending a few dishes. We decided to try the Mandi lamb, Kabsa lamb, and Hanith lamb. When the food arrived, we were impressed with both the taste and the portion sizes--everything was delicious, but the portions were so large that none of us could finish our meals. However, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. For a party of six, they automatically added an 18% service charge, which is fair, but I hope they use that to improve the overall hygiene of the place. The cleanliness definitely needs more attention. If I crave this type of food again, I'll probably order it to-go instead of dining in.

Attentive and quick service for a busy restaurant! We came in on a Friday night and while it was packed, we were able to get seated right away. Our food was also out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. This restaurant is very affordable for the amount of food they give. Even as 3 hungry girls, we could've ordered 1 appetizer and 1 entree and been fine. We got the Mediterranean Plate to start, which was average. The only part I felt was skimpy was the accompanying bread--the 3 half pieces were not nearly enough for all the hummus and baba ghanoush. However, the extra spreads did make good pairings for the rice in the Kabasa Chicken and Mandi Chicken. I wish they came with yogurt sauce, but instead I used the hummus and salsa-type sauce they gave us at the beginning. The chicken was fall off the bone, but the breast meat was very dry despite the tenderness. Hadramout is a good beginner's dive into Yemeni and hits the spot for a craving, but definitely not the best you could try.

We've been coming here at least once or twice a month for the past two years. But today, we had a very bad experience -- the chicken was not cooked properly at all. This is not the quality we usually get with the Hanith chicken and Kabsa rice. We informed the server, but he said he couldn't do anything about it. Not recommended anymore

The Mandi at Hadramout is probably one of the best you'll find in DFW. I love how tender the chicken is, it's definitely a comfort food for me.

Great food, large portions, reasonable price. One meal and appetizer is enough for two. We shall be back soon. Grilled fish is a must try

This is by far the best restaurant in DFW. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The mandi chicken will fall off the bone even if you just wiggle the plate. The fish is amazingly flavored and also is easy to remove from the bone. The dessert isn't too sweet but is by far some of the best dessert I've ever had. The service has always been amazing and the staff has always been so kind and friendly. I have been here about a handful of times and the restaurant continues to blow my mind and remain consistently amazing. I literally dream about this restaurant. There is not a better restaurant in DFW, and it is one of the only Yemeni restaurants around. I had never had Yemeni food prior to trying this restaurant, and what a great representation of it, it is. I recommend that EVERYONE tries this restaurant.

This was my first time trying Yemeni food and it was delicious. The food had lots of flavor and chicken was very tender. The chicken literally fell off the bones. Each entree comes with a lot of rice, so the rice to chicken proportion is a bit off in my opinion. We also ordered the Mediterranean plate appetizer, which was also good, but it only came with 3 pieces of bread. We ended up having to pay for extra bread. They also charge you for water which I wasn't expecting. Overall, very nice to have something new in Plano.

Delicious food and reasonable price I order grilled fish came perfect not burned and not row was so good and tasty

The service was great, and everything came out quickly, which we really appreciated. So you can imagine it was a pretty big group. The place was buzzing as usual. Turns out two other groups were also celebrating their birthdays there. What are the chances? Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself. I don't even like rice like that; it's not one of my favorite carbs. The Lamb had a very mild flavor. 9.5 out of 10 for me. Chicken Kebob Plate: normally I wouldn't order chicken kebob as I feel that it can get a bit dry, but not at this restaurant. Tbh, most Iranian kebabs are very juicy and flavorful, and this was the same. Another 9.5 for me. Overall Food Rating: 9.5 out of 10. Customer service was excellent. They were very patient with our large group. Didn't even roll their eyes when we requested them to take our pictures . They showed extreme patience with us from the beginning till the end. I recently chose to try out dining in. The guys behind the counter are nice enough, the place is clean; nothing fancy, and the food is still delicious. The Gyro Shop is our typical go to for ordering greek food and I'll continue to do so since we love the food. I don't see much reason to dine in as this place is not really geared to be a fancy dine in, but more so a food on the go or order out type of place. We typically order the chicken platter. They give you a generous portion of chicken, and the feta cheese is nice and fresh. I also love the hummus here, its very smooth and very fresh. Again, the food is delicious and they have their niche. I will continue to order here when we have a desire to order this type of food.

The meat itself was really salty, and the white sauce was just okay. They stay open pretty late, so not a bad food option if you're up late and starving.

While I did not eat in the restaurant, it was beautifully decorated, with comfortable tables and booths (so something for everyone). I placed my order and waited at an empty table with a book. The falafel was wonderful (not dry at all, which is often the case), and the meats were well seasoned. The hummus was awesome and the pita was fresh. I have only had Ezme at one other place, and this was definitely better. I always love baba ganoush and this was so good, especially with the warm bread. The family meal for 4 was plenty of food. All the meats, including the chicken items because a lot of time those are over cooked. The lamb tikka, and sheeh tawook were my favorites, but I did enjoy them all. The desserts were a miss for us over all. The ice cream was on the icy side and not as creamy, kunafa was ok but I've had better. The baklava was like any baklava you can get, so not bad. It is slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion. Nice place that can accommodate larger parties, but also has some booths for intimate date night. The meat is also halal so a great option for anyone that needs that.

We arrived as a party of five on a medium-busy Sunday evening. The tables were a reasonable distance apart, and the noise level was also fair. The food was delicious. Having not experienced authentic Turkish food before, the mention of authenticity made my group eager to give Cafe Istanbul a try. Ordering was painless and easy. There are entrees for individual meals and easy options for groups to share family-style, which we opted for. We ordered an appetizer platter with beef meatball, baba ganoush, hummus, and phyllo borek (ground beef with spices and onions inside a deep-fried phyllo wrapper). It was a bit odd that there were different amounts of each (2 meatball, 4 phyllo borek, and dollops of baba ganoush and hummus were only enough to get a small taste each) but it was balanced out by the portion size of the entree. For the entree, we opted for the mixed grill plate to share. It had chicken shish kebab, lamb kebab, adana kebab (ground lamb, pepper, and spices), grilled chicken wings, and chicken beyti (ground chicken and spices, grilled). This was served with rice and red cabbage on the side. Individually, each amount seemed small, but given that this plate was meant for two, we were still pleasantly full after polishing this off. Everything was well seasoned. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked. I'd especially recommend the chicken beyti. The here service was swift and outstanding. We were quickly offered menus, waters, and utensils. Our waters were refilled quickly, and the kitchen took our request to plate the lamb separately in stride. The moment after my fork fell to the ground, a member of their serving staff swooped to fetch it (it was behind my chair) while another brought me a new one. It was a very well-rehearsed dance. Worth mentioning is also the fact that there were two separate groups dining that evening (a large family, and a group of friends) to celebrate a birthday. This is a restaurant worthy of birthday celebrations :) Overall, the portions are decent and filling, the food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. Consider visiting this restaurant next time you're in the area; you'll be glad that you did!

I found this place nearby with strong Yelp reviews and great-looking photos, so we decided to try it for lunch. I expected a casual, fast-style Mediterranean grill, but it turned out to be a more upscale restaurant in a strip mall. The space was really beautiful décor, greenery, and a nice atmosphere. We were seated and given both lunch and dinner menus since it was around 2 PM. I started with an iced tea that had a subtle fruity flavor--really refreshing. We ordered hummus, which came with a fresh, house-made garlic pita. The garlic wasn't overpowering, just a light hint, and it paired perfectly with the hummus. The hummus itself was smooth, creamy, and generously portioned. We originally wanted kebabs, but the lunch menu was mostly sandwiches. Since we weren't in the mood for that, we ordered kebabs from the dinner menu. I chose one of the chicken options (there was also a more lemon-forward version). When the food came out, it was honestly some of the most beautifully plated food I've seen--very intentional and almost magazine-worthy. Everything tasted just as good as it looked. The rice was perfectly cooked with a light seasoning and topped with nuts. The chicken kebab was flavorful, with carrots in between that added a nice fresh crunch. The grilled vegetables on the side were lightly seasoned and cooked just right. It didn't come with a sauce like you might get at a fast-casual Mediterranean spot, but since we had hummus, I used that and it worked really well. The portion was large (more of a dinner size), so I took some home, and it was still fresh and delicious later. The only thing I'd suggest is adding a lunch-sized kebab option, sometimes you just want something lighter instead of a sandwich. My coworker ordered the chicken as well but swapped the rice for a salad and really enjoyed it. Overall, this was a great find. Beautiful space, excellent food, and we'd definitely come back. Highly recommend if you're looking for a more elevated Mediterranean meal.
