    Kids meal!

Wow! Was this dinner or a trip to the toy store?! The kids got dinner and a show with all the fun family friendly features Haidilao offered! The biggest draw for the kids: definitely giggling and saying all the fun catch phrases to get fairy, play sets, kids meals, and snacks! Special thanks to our server! The biggest draw for parents: the yummy fresh hot pot ingredients served table side! Definitely coming back!

Ultimately, I couldn't escape the fate of eating Haidilao in the US... The freshness of the ingredients and the staff's handling techniques were far inferior to those in China. The shrimp paste, in particular, was served in a piping bag and was broken into very small pieces; it ended up feeling almost indistinguishable from the shrimp bits in dumpling filling. However, they did offer complimentary vanilla and matcha ice cream, and the taste and texture were almost identical to McDonald's! My companion accidentally left her wallet at the restaurant, but after contacting the staff, they helped us find it. The restaurant carefully kept it safe and even attached the table number and time note. Thank you so much!

There is usually a pretty long wait like 1+ hours, so make a reservation if you can. Ambiance is really lively, so it's always a good time, and sometimes they even have mini shows/dances. In terms of food, the meat quality is definitely top notch, all the beefs are super tender and melts in your mouth. However, it is SUPER pricey. If you want to be full full, you are going to have to spend like $100+pp. My fav soup broth is the tomato one, and I love the 3 color noodles and napa as well.

Haidilao is the standard for hotpot, and I've been craving it so much. I used to come here when I lived nearby, and after recently moving back, I went to this location again. They've renovated a lot, and all the employees seem new. They also changed some items on the menu. The shrimp paste tastes a bit weird now, and they don't have Kobe beef belly anymore :/ I love their spicy pork broth, but it seems like they changed the recipe, and their mala broth isn't as numbing as before. They also have sukiyaki now, so I wanted to try it, but honestly, it's not even close to sukiyaki. It felt more like a sugary soy sauce broth. Even with all that being said, it's still the best place for hotpot.

The best thing about this place is that it is incredibly family friendly. They have so many things that make it so easy to eat with your kids. They have a waiting area that has snacks, tea, and games. They give free toys to kids. They also give free kids meal. The downside is that everything is à la carte, including the sauce bar and each broth that you pick. I also wish our server explained the portion sizes. We ordered way too many sides and noodles because we didn't know the portions were shareable. I really do appreciate that you can add yourself from the waitlist even if you're far away. We added ourselves when we were leaving our home and by the time we got to Cupertino, we didn't have to wait too long.

Good food, fun atmosphere, and toys! Came here for a birthday celebration recently, we tried a variety of meats, seafood, (dancing) noodles and vegetables. Overall, the experience was fun and enjoyable, especially for the kids. I saw this restaurant had outdoor patio seating with hotpot, which is pretty nice for the warmer weather. Would definitely want to come here during the summer. For the broth, I liked the tomato flavor a lot. Plain water was good for the kids.

Excellent location in Cupertino with plenty of parking. We tried various cuts of beef, pork, and lamb along with 3 spicy broths and 1 sukiyaki sweet broth. It was a cool experience and the variety that you could order instantly on the iPad was impressive. Some of the sauces from the buffet were a bit lacking compared to other hot pot chains like Mumu - the dessert bar was good though.

I went here on Friday night. I joined the waitlist online and got a table in an hour. The server was very nice and helpful. I ordered the spicy broth and mushroom soup base. For the sides, I got the Australian lamb shoulder, enoki mushroom, potato, udon noodles, and shrimp paste. I also got the dancing noodles and loved watching the performance! The seasoning bar was great, especially the peanut sesame paste which is my favorite. I also grabbed some fresh fruit from there to cleanse my palate. At the end, I used the secret code and got the piping hot donuts with custard. I absolutely loved the ambiance, food, and service. The server was very attentive and polite throughout the meal. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this place. 4.5/5

Great dining experience. It's à la cart, so it is on the expensive side. Warning:!when it says spicy, it is really spicy with with an option of 20% less spicy. Plus: you can increase the numbness! It's something I am satisfied with. Others hotpot places just don't have enough numbness if it's an option at all! Ingredients are fresh, the sauce bar (costs extra) is great. And the Ube ice cream is awesome! Extra: They have a kid friendly waiting area that is full of board games. I wish they could have put some more chairs.

It's been a long time since we last visited this Haidilao. This was an easy going weekday lunch experience and it was perfect for a family of four. We ordered the lunch combination for 3 people but we should have just went with the combination for 2 people because of the quantity of food given. The meats and vegetables were all fresh and the soup broths we selected were all tasty and not overpowering. The sauce bar is a $3.99 option per person and it was worth it because of their dessert options. The restaurant is laid out well and you are seated in private booths. They can accommodate large groups, but you can make reservations by calling them. The parking is plentiful in a nearby parking garage. We had a great lunch here and look forward to returning to one of the locations in SoCal.

I'd been to Haidilao Hotpot in Seattle, and was so excited to find one in Cupertino! We snagged the last same-day reservation on a Monday evening. The interior was spacious and we were seated in a comfortable booth. We ordered four soup bases to share, but my favorite is always the Tom Yum Soup Base. This one is just so flavorful and works with everything! We got a few beef proteins, which were both fantastic. I can't remember the names now, but one of them was short rib. I also tried a few new proteins that rocked my world - the Shrimp Paste and Fish Balls. I didn't expect to love these, but the texture was so satisfying. I also loved going up to the sauce bar and making my own sauces, especially the thick peanut sauce. Unfortunately, the Haidilao Dancing Noodle guy wasn't available when we were there. I guess he doesn't work on Mondays. I enjoyed the robot servers, and every human staff member was friendly and attentive. We ended our meal with some matcha soft-serve, which was pretty good. Haidilao continues to impress me!

À la carte hotpot with great quality meat but also steep prices. Soup base costs $15 per soup. Meat costs around $20 per plate and sides are around $10 each. Portion size is on the smaller side as well. To use their side bar with the sauces and some small eats and dessert, it's an additional $4 per person. If you're someone that wants quality and not feel rushed while eating hot pot, then perhaps this is the place for you. Service was decent but I think they were a little understaffed the day we went so things like being offered an apron was forgotten. But the servers gave us a 20% discount off our dishes for sitting outside when it was windy and raining.

Apparently a lot of the legs on some of the tables and benches are wobbly so they put things under to balance it. The servers told us to move it back under the table since we pushed the table out to sit into the bench. My mom is older and she has a hard time walking, she asked to switch to another table where the benches and tables were already spaced out properly because it is hard for her to bend down and move the things under the table legs. The server gave my mom an attitude and asked why two people couldn't fit into our current table.

I never leave a good review just for a freebie because my integrity is way more expensive than freebies. The food is phenomenal and authentic in every way. The frogs are tender and the spices are not overwhelming and brings out the flavor of the frog meat just right. The cured pork (pig face meat) is very rare in the states. It's also cured properly to give the authentic hunan flavor. They also mix it with raddish slices which is also rare in most Chinese restaurants here in the states. Even the conch with bamboo shots surprised me in how thin the slices of the conches are. It's also flavored without being too spicy nor too salty. Everything is on point. I do wish they used better white rice but that alone is not enough for me to take off any stars. This is just a wonderful restaurant that's on par with my favorite hunan restaurant in San Gabriel and I'm so glad I found it because I'm sure going to go back every week now.
