As soon as I saw the open sign I decided to come in and get myself a much needed haircut. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a lady as she immediately sat me down and said "what would you like today?" After what seemed like less than ten minutes, my hair was several inches short and was ready to go. To be honest though I thought at first that she had messed up and given me a bad haircut/style but after having taken a shower and styling my hair, I immediately changed my mind.

Parking was abysmal; and the appointment was entered on the wrong date (she blamed me). She did not offer a replacement stylist. I had to ask if someone else could trim my ends. It was only a quick dry trim - took 15 minutes. Contrary to the manager's response, I was respectful to the replacement stylist and tipped well. That I was not is a total fabrication. Yes, women's cuts start at $30, but that's with a shampoo and style. The manager does not know the difference or does not care. The parking situation was difficult even at 2pm on Sunday. I was unnerved when I walked in the door. Several drivers waited patiently for a spot to open only to watch as other drivers swooped in to grab an open spot. That's just not done; it's unsafe; and it happened three times. That is the truth, not a "discriminatory" comment about her neighborhood. That corner of Greenville has become too congested for the traffic, and Richardson has not invested in infrastructure. No worries. I would never return to this shop or the area. The manager was rude and fabricates. She overcharged me for a dry trim. The parking on weekends is unsafe. Many other choices closer to my house where the services fit my needs, and the manager is professional and doesn't argue with clients. Good luck.

Being new to Dallas I had no idea who to go to and decided to yelp it. Found JT hair lab and after going through the reviews I decided to come to her. Couldn't be happier! Jenny was so throughout and professional. She evaluated my hair and gave me step by step procedure how she would fix it and bring it to where I would want it. I didn't expect to make it happen in one try (the before picture would explain why) - but she made it happen !!!! And she always inform you before she goes into the next step. We spent 7hrs and the result is amazing. After all that my hair still healthy, smooth and shiny. It was quickly dried and styled in center or side parts, with lots of volume, lift and swing. Elegant and easy. Derek said he couldn't understand me. I should have left immediately. What I have now is an inexplicable cut, 2-5 " off, barely chin length, huge amounts of hair removed, wispy layers everywhere, and texturizing. He has activated a mass of waves and curls never seen before. From the front, the shape is a cartoonish wide diamond. From the sides, a fat wedge. This is the opposite of what is required for copious, European, fine, porous hair with a nape curl and minimal wave. Derek basically has created a White girl Afro. He somehow dried it beautifully, disguising the weird architectural structure by using a tiny brush on myriad narrow strands, drying them straight, and contorting them via elaborate manual sculpting techniques, product and nearly an hour of work. Maybe he planned to do twice-weekly blowdries on it. I have spent many days and dollars elsewhere experimenting with product, techniques and professional advice while attempting to cope. Derek pleasantly refunded the charges and apologized for the "inconvenience." This is far worse than inconvenient.

I have coarse Asian hair that has some coloring on already, purple, and I wanted to go to full silver/gray balayage. It took us a good 6 hours but I am so thrilled and happy with the results I must make this review right now! Okay folks, my last hair stylist was a master blonder, and after 5-6 sessions with her I still ended up with meh blonding results, not light or near where I wanted to go. I got fed up n dumped purple over it. Anyways, John was able to strip all that and lighten my hair to the lightest shade possible that you can do in one day (mind you, he used the strongest lightener known to man). My hair ended up NOT brittle or melted, it was perfect after toner was added and this ash is the closest I've ever been to silver!! I bet another session will take me exactly where I want. (Mad that I paid over $3k for 5-6 sessions previously with the master blonder and never got anywhere). In a nutshell, I highly recommend this salon.
