    Stuffed Grape Leaves
    Dalia D.

Great food. We were the only ones in. A nice lady took care of us. I recommend the stuffed grape leaves. They only give 3 I could eat about 15 of those in one sitting! The Kafta platter was amazing. The rice was sooooooo good. I could also eat that all by itself. When we were leaving it looks like the family stopped by, which was sweet

I wanted stuffed grape leaves for lunch and found this place close by. I ended up having the stuffed grape leaves and a lamb kabob sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the meal came with dolmas as a side! The food was amazing. The grape leaves were nice and tender. The lamb was grilled to perfection and presented beautifully. It was the rice that stole my heart. It was as soft as a pillow! Not sticky with just enough chew to it so you knew you were eating rice. The service was on point as well.

Beef kebab platter, kofta kebab? So good!

5 stars for the food!! I couldn't get enough of the Baba Ganoush!! I would come back just for that alone! Really kind staff.

    Gyro

I hate that they changed owners. This sandwich is not the gyro that is shaved but rather frozen and placed on a grill to be heated. It has 0 flavor. I'm very disappointed. If I could give it no stars I would do just that. I don't recommend it at all.

    Hala platter

I love finding little hole-in-the-wall restaurants and this is a good one! The inside decor is clean and well-kept. The menu is small, not overwhelming. We split the platter between 4 of us and we all loved it. The platter gives a nice variety of dishes to try. The platter comes with 3 appetizers, and we chose hummus, baba ganoush, and falafel. The falafel was some of the best I've ever had! Everything was deliciously seasoned and good. Service was a bit slow, but it appeared that there was only one person waiting tables that night, and he was very friendly. Definitely a great little find!

    Hummus

The food lacked flavors and I mean basic salt in every dish that was served. We had to add salt to everything. They served bottled water without informing us that they charge for it which we found at the time of payment when we saw a charge of $6.76 for 4 small Sams club brand water bottles. They also charged us 3.99% customer service fee for a party of 4. I have never seen any Mediterranean place which does that. The fries that came with the wraps tasted bitter as if the oil in which they were fried was not changed for weeks. I would not visit this place again.

    Fattoush salad with chicken shawarma

I've been here twice and love their fattoush salad! I always add chicken shawarma for some extra protein. The lady who served me both times is so sweet and welcoming. I'll be back again.

I must say their hummus is really good. Food tastes fresh and made from scratch. It wasn't crowded for lunch time so I was surprised with slow service. Place is clean and nicely decorated.

It's not exactly close to me, but the menu convinced us to give it a try. My husband went with the buffet and enjoyed the variety -- hummus, gyro, salad, and pita bread -- and felt the price was a great value for what was offered. I ordered the pastitsio. It wasn't quite the same as the versions I've had in Chicago, where I've enjoyed both homemade and restaurant-made versions. This one was still enjoyable, but not as flavorful as I remembered. The béchamel sauce was creamy, though I felt it needed a bit more seasoning, and the tomato sauce leaned a little too soupy for my taste. I took the moussaka to go. It had a very similar flavor profile to the pastitsio, but instead of pasta, it featured layers of eggplant and ground beef. It was comforting and hearty, though the flavors felt a bit repetitive between the two dishes. The cheese bread that came with both the pastitsio and moussaka was really good -- warm, soft, and a great pairing with the meal. Service was fantastic -- friendly and attentive -- and the space, while small, had a cozy, homey feel. Overall, I'm glad I finally got my pastitsio fix, and it was a pleasant experience.

I cannot express how disgusting this was, and how shameless of the restaurant it was to actually choose to serve me it. Do not waste money at this establishment. Hummus was smooth and the tabbouleh was tasty. I would have loved to have fatoush as an option. The main meal selection was a little lacking in choices, but enough to fill you up. The mixed grill meats were the best, and the chicken was flavorful and moist. A lot of rice, bones, and soupy flavors filled most of the pans with very little meat on the bones. I came after 1:30, so in fairness maybe the big pieces were taken? They did refill the baked chicken breasts and mixed grill meat while I was there, which was the highlight on the buffet. It was very quiet inside and staff quickly cleaned off the tables. For me, it wasn't worth 18.39 with the limited choices, but I do like to give smaller restaurants a try and support small businesses. I would recommend this place for people that don't like a lot of spice or prefer mild flavors.

The waitress was quick to give us a menu, but she tooK soooooooooooo long to take our drink order that we had to go to the bar and order for ourselves. Common cocktails are $14 and served in a lowball glass - not worth it as there's more ice than anything. Thank goodness we showed up within the happy hour window. While taking my order, I asked the waitress for a small change, and she said, "So, you want to start your order all over again?" Really?! Burger and fries at $14 looked appetizing but came out ice cold - hardly edible. Appetizer was about $8.95, and, yes, it was cold, too. Don't waste your time or hard earned money.
