I told them I needed a return ride and they ended up calling me 10 minutes after the shuttle driver went home. thought it was annoying, but just went with it. Brought my other car in one week later and the exact same thing happened. I had a morning appointment, I made a point to tell my service manager, the person at the desk, and my shuttle driver that i got stranded last week. they all assured me it wouldn't happen again, but guess what happened... i had to call and get a status update (on a car that passed inspection by the way) and they asked if i minded picking it up the next day. My husband and I love this place. I would give it ten starts but there is only five. Their services makes you feel like family from the start. We have purchased all of our cars with them since 2017. If there is anything issues the general manager and staff will try to rectify it right away. We left VA for about two years. We stopped by mid day to get our cars inspected and an oil change. Went in for a basic oil change and maintenance for my Honda Civic 2019 with a little over 38k miles. Was quoted one price on their approval portal, that they send via text and when paying the service was actually $100+ than expected. Upon payment the service representative said that it was a "glitch". I vented at how was it possible to get my car serviced in California and cheaper?! Next time I'll go somewhere else. She tells me "Don't go anywhere else. Next time call me and I'll take care of you." Ummm... what?! I'm literally there and not being "taken care of". The SERVICE DEPT SUCK !! We have been a loyal customer for more than 20 years. The customer service was horrible. I drop my car at 8.15 am for inspection . Tito the service guy call me around 9ish saying I need a ligament and front brake. I says ok go ahead and do it. I explained to him I need my car by 3pm I have to go for my other appt. He says ok come by at 3 pm car will be ready for u.When I reached there at 3 pm car still not ready till 4.20 pm. I'm angry and frustrated with him. Doesn't help it was raining, but finding the service garage was a little tricky. Once I did it was all straight-forward. Scheduled an appointment for a state inspection a few weeks in advance. The beginning and end of the month are often extra busy, and we needed a new inspection sticker since living in Georgia these past few years. We expected an appointment to be quick. Show up at my appointment time and they tell me, "you have to wait as long as a walk in". Excuse me? What's the point of an appointment then? I could have came at opening and been done sooner. I get waiting, but shouldn't appointments be prioritized over walk ins? Two hours of waiting for a state inspection. A bit annoyed but it is what it is. read more

I find Hall Honda's review process and workmanship unsatisfactory and am preparing to submit a BBB complaint to get this resolved. First on the review/survey process: While sitting there on a Saturday for well over 5 hours (2 hour job at most), I witnessed every single customer service rep say the words: "if we send you a review you would give us an excellent right?!" (or to that effect) ... basically fishing for reviews that are selective and biased. of course you're gonna claim you have really high ratings. well here is the truth rating. Service: Car was from NC, and I asked for a 75k work up. Upon checking in, they could not recite to me all that was involved in the 75k package...thought it was weird, but whatever. It included inspection, oil change, brake check, etc. the usual suspects. I chose to wait in the lobby as they told me it should be 1.5-2 hr job. Easy enough. getting in at 745am for an 8am appt i should be in and out quickly. Did not get out until 12:30pm. Paid for my service, which was 400$+ with taxes. Shannon was nice enough to discount me $60 for the inconvenience. Walked out to my car and turned engine on. TPMS light is on. turn car off. walk back inside and ask Shannon "hey my tpms light is on" ..her initial response was that it may be faulty..my response..."if you waited 5 hours and you paid 400+ dollars, would you expect someone to give me a courtesy heads up and actually check if it was faulty or do you think it's better that i discover it after i paid for it?" ..she was apologetic and said she could have someone follow up on it as I angrily left. No one ever followed up with me. Driving home, brakes still created high pitch sounds and worst of all the TPMS was not fixed. basically none of the symptoms i gave them a heads up for was fixed. Makes me question if you actually did change any oil or rotate my tires at all. One positive note sitting there for over 5hrs was witnessing a sales manager (maybe district manager of sales) working at his open table and greeting every single one of his sales team, and I can tell they all respected him and his approach was exactly how you should manage people to earn their trust. Never did i overhear him talk about screwing a customer over to get their sales. Mad props to the sales team. Service team? Please be on the lookout for a BBB complaint to get this settled. Lastly, going back to my first point of thought... funnily i never received a survey for my feedback :-) ...as Alanis Morissette once said.."Isn't it ironic~don't you think?" They started calling me telling me they made a clerical error and I owe them more money and would I like to pay with a CC over the phone... sounds like some scammer stuff tbh. No paperwork. No documentation to show me where this error occurred. Nothing to prove anything. Just calling me asking for more money a month after I've signed paperwork. If I could give a negative rating I would. I have been without a car since April and took it to Hall Honda Virginia Beach to be fixed. Just a recap for those of you who don't know I had a MINOR leak in which I caught RIGHT AWAY. I didn't even drive into work that day, I took it straight to the shop. (Pictures attached) Since April, Hall Honda has been nothing but disgraceful and I want to warn my friends & family not to do business with them. They are NEGLIGENT, UNRESPONSIVE AND BULLYING. After I complained to Corporate (who also DID ABSUOLUTELY NOTHING) and went to state Attorney General after Richard S. told me my car was in pieces, in their lot, and NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE TO MY CAR, with a leak since April and at the time it was July. They Lawyered up, kicked my car out of their shop and of course CLAIMED that the leak had been fixed. If the leak was fixed why was the boxes that Hall put my stuff in where wet and falling apart? Why is my $225 North End Bag Co. DESTROYED AND COVERED IN BLACK MOLD. (Not to mention other belongings.) Why did I have my belongings in my car... because I took it in right away and didn't think HALL would leave it sit for MONTHS UNCOVERED/UNTARPED AND UNPROTECTED KNOWING MY CAR HAD A LEAK. Fast FWD to the part where they have Honda Corporation call me while I am out of the country stating I have 2 days to pick up my car and that it should be sufficient time to do so. I explain that I am out of the country and they basically told me they didn't give a sh*t. I had my husband go pick it up.. AFTER SIGNING THE RELEASE DID THEY TELL HIM THE CAR WAS DISMANTLED (STILL) AND UNDRIVEABLE AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER SHOP. I would give a zero to my experience of this service dept. After talking to friends and co-workers they said write a review so it dont happen to anyone else. Be aware: 1. Appointments dont matter at all (why take them, if you dont honor them) The advisor guy I had (which I see his name from old past negative reviews is still working there) seems not to care about his job, very slow and rude which seemed deliberate. If he's still there from these other old reviews must feel management doesn't care. 2. No communication on the progress of my car for hours (I had to call, got no reply but a text 30 minutes later) 3. No actual customer service, barely a word spoken to me about my car 7 hours from dropping my car off with an early morning appt to actually getting my car back, for what would be a 30-40 minute state inspection. It was lack of customer service, the lack of communication and the attitude that made this a very bad experience, worse than it needed to be. Very poor service! I took my Honda Odyssey this morning 9:30 AM as the side doors are not opening automatically. Also showing up some yellow lights on the dashboard. Around noon they told me the car was ready. Issue#1 ----------- They charged for the diagnostics and oil change for a total $149.94. I had a coupon of $40 off for more than $150 service, which the service agent doesn't want to honor and will only add $20 off. I went to the manager and he approved $40 off. But when I came back and saw the receipt, he added additional charge of $17.47 for miscellaneous shop supplies to compensate the discount he approved. Issue#2 ----------- I came back to the car and the side doors are still not working. They said for that they need to do another diagnostics which will cost another $169.99 plus additional charges for fixing it. As I have already wasted half day for their poor service and charges, I said no and walked off. Do not fall for the coupons they send. read more

As a 20 yr customer of Hall Honda and their Service department, I am highly disappointed that I was turned away for simple oil change because I didn't have an appointment. I have purchased 3 Hondas and have used the Hall Honda service department for every service that I have ever needed and paid the higher prices so that I would know that my car was handled properly. I have NEVER needed an appointment nor have I ever been turned away from having a simple oil change. I was advised they were not taking walk-ins for oil changes. I have always been a "walk-in" for my oil change. I will not be returning to Hall Honda. They will not get another red cent from me via purchase of vehicle or via service department. Salesman and sales manager will do whatever it takes to get sales. Not being honest and will sell you lemon. Salesman not even passionate in selling the car(He didn't say much about the car when I test drive it, I figured how to use the functions myself most of the time) because all he was waiting for is the part where you're paying. Want to test drive today and come back another day? Not happening unless you stand your ground and just leave. Having 2 "sales managers" pushing you to buy a brand new car without letting you to consider. Not everybody has 24 grants to spend without thinking. I like to have plans so today I'm just test driving and that's it. They ask me "Why?","What stops you from buyung this car?" EACH OF THEM, for like 10 times. I already told them I have work soon and they still talking. At one point I don't know how to explain to them "I just don't want to" and told them "It's personal issue" and the dude dare to ask me what is my personal issue. They'll pretend to cut down your monthly payment when you want to lease the car and add the amount back to your overall bill so don't fall on that. My purpose that day was test drive and get some info of the car and the differences of leasing and financing, go home and do my math regarding to my personal finance and buy it around Black Friday but guess this ain't gonna happen because once they know I'm not doing a purchase today they didn't even provide me any info of the car or the finance options or whatsoever. They did call me once in 2 days to ask me to come back but too bad cuz I don't do businesses with dishonest and rude people. Prior to that they sold my mom a lemon. They also try to charge my mom's friend's $200 from a 2-months old brand new CRV due to a factory failure, which they didn't success because she was not having it. Since the 2 incidents were couple years ago I thought I'd just give it a try but I'm wrong. They are still some filty salesmen who don't care about their customer's need and just care about numbers. I took my car to Hall Honda VB for state inspection, oil change and detailing inside and out. They called me trying to say I had over $1500 worth of sh#t that needed to be done to my vehicle which is not even 3 years old and maintenanced in a regular basis. I picked up my car and the below pictures are from the "detailing" that was supposedly done and I was charged for! I am more than disappointed specially since the last time I took my car there they tried telling me something with my axel was wrong and it would cost me 3k to fix! I took it for a second opinion and they said it was absolutely fine!!!!!! Also the service guy Matt called me about a car that wasn't mine and more issues. Was really unprofessional.Nothing was wrong!!! OVER TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for a battery change? How far will HALL HONDA dealership go to rip off customers ? First, 10 months after purchasing the vehicle from HALL HONDA, issues developed. One was told it's electrical damage ( "possibly rodent chew on the wires," according to a tech at HALLS HONDA). this cost, a WHOPPING $1556 out of pocket. Of course, 'rodent damage' was a questionable assessment. Considering there are two cars in my driveway and both my neighbors (townhouse complex) have the same vehicle type. Little over a month, the EXACT same issue with the vehicle returns. Brought vehicle to HALL HONDA, again , "the battery needs changing," According to the tech. Wait a minute, the same issue that was billed almost two grand now requires a simple battery change ? Clearly a misdiagnosis. Any refund ? No. It's a different issue. Different issue in less than two months with the EXACT same signs. Ok. Change the battery. Total $342. This is Ridiculous. The breakdown: battery cost, labor fee, cost to clean the batter terminals, and installing the battery . Due to the untimely issues with the vehicle purchased at Halls Honda, I tried selling. HALL HONDA price quote was insane. Went to Carmax, made $3000 above what HALL Honda offered. HALL HONDA continues to reinforce the fear people have in visiting cars dealership and services. Over billing in any way possible is unethical and continues to severely hurt struggling customers. Will this dealership continue to promote these unacceptable behaviors, or will they use this feedback to fine tune their hostile treatment of customers? read more

I've had a bad experience with Hall Honda service. So bad that I'm writing a review, and uploading photos as proof. Bottom Line Up Front: Go to an independent service team. It will save you money. Reason 1: In a period of five months I received two completely different maintenance reports (March vs. August.) Tires show completely in the red and drive belt! Service Advisor says, "Mechanic in March was bad, now fired. Mechanic in August was good, state inspector." Received $2158 by bad mechanic in March. No reinspection of service provided. Only given a "sorry" for catching it. Unsat. Bad for trust. Photos of reports attached. Reason 2: These guys really jack up their pricing. I was reminded this week why I quit buying vehicles from Hall. I drove into their 'Express Service' line for an oil change. The nice young man who came to greet me told me he would check on the wait. The answer turned out to be two hours. Not quite Express, right. Then I asked if I could make an appointment. He said I could but it was still First Come, First Serve. The example he gave me was that if I had a 1pm appointment and 30 people came in before that time, I would have to wait till they were done. This is certainly a strange way to handle appointments. It would seem to me that it isn't an appointment at all. With my mind refreshed on the reasons I had avoided Hall for many years, I made an appointment with their competitor where I had bought the vehicle. It's certainly a shame since Hall is very convenient, just not customer friendly. read more

If I could give negative stars, I totally would. By far the worst car buying experience ever! If you want inconsistency, lies, and broken promises, this is the place to go. One of the managers named Tiffany seemed so nice when we sat down to talk about what we were interested. As soon as we started talking numbers, the new personality came out, customer service was thrown out the window, and we were presented with attitude, smirks, fake laughter, and arms crossed. She asked me "if I give you this deal, what do I get out of it?" -- what kind of question is that for your customer? How about a sale, a customer, $31,000, a job? After working with multiple sales people, our own sales person trying to cancel our appt to buy the car, and then receiving the CRV with added mileage than what we signed on for, enough was enough. We ended up returning the car and ending any chance of ever having a relationship with this place again. I had to call the general manager myself and she informed me that they will use this example as a coaching opportunity for her staff. Sadly, she was the only one that showed us customer service and gratitude for giving them a shot. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I thought, maybe it was just my family's experience, but the second I went into work the next day, my coworkers all confessed similar experiences and even talked about how rude their interactions with Tiffany were!! Hall Honda prides themselves for their online reviews. I wish I checked yelp first to see how wrong they were. (Unless they are proud of 3 star reviews) A manager represents their company, and after seeing her over several interactions, I no longer will ever want to do work with that company. Many dealerships have a reputation for their shady business and I've always dreaded having to take my car in to be serviced, until I visited the Service Dept at Hall Honda. I scheduled an appointment online for the air bag recall. I arrived a few minutes early, but was greeted immediately at the bay and checked in with my service advisor, Davonte who was friendly, attentive and efficient. I was advised the wait would be nearly two hours, but he explained everything from start to finish. I chose to wait. Sitting there, being observant, I noticed that everyone on staff was so friendly with their interactions with other customers. I was very impressed! I even noticed they offered a shuttle service, which is a helpful and convenient service offered. Not even two hours, but about an hour later, I got a call that my vehicle was ready, and also got a complimentary car wash.
