After coming across an IG ad, I saw the good reviews on the chef and how the business has donated/served food to NYU Langone and KAFSC during this time. I excitedly placed my order for the gomtang (weekly special) plus the bulgogi and jeyuk spicy pork set. The gomtang was legit, it became jelly in the fridge so you know the soup had simmered for a long time and is chock full of collagen. The bulgogi & jeyuk set serves 3-4 people per the website which was pretty accurate as it fed hubby and I twice and we were quite full after. Both meats were juicy and flavorful but for me the bulgogi edged out the pork a little bit. I loved that the bulgogi had bits of pepper to give it a little kick. The kimchi was the perfect acid to cut the meat and had a bit of seafood flavor to it (yum!). The japchae was a nice surprise, often I find this dish to be the weak link with takeout, either due to stiff noodle texture or greasiness but this was up my alley! I gave our son some and he could not get enough. The set also includes two types of dumplings and purple rice. To top of all off, Handsome makes banana pudding (not included in set). Fluffy and decadent, I hope they will up their sizes because the 6 oz was gone too fast. Delivery is FREE! and to the front of your home so if you live in a building you will have to leave the cocoon of your apartment. The delivery person was seriously the most beautiful delivery woman I've ever met, even with a mask on. Everything comes neatly packaged in portioned containers which seems unnecessary since it's family meals, but makes for easy storage. read more

Are you kidding me? I just spent almost $25 including delivery tip to recieve the saddest bibimbap of my life. Like compared to the picture on their site or even compared to real Korean bibimbap that usually has an array of Korean veggies in it this literally is a sad salad lettuce mix with some squash, beets (why??) and carrots. No, sautéed spinach or bean sprouts, no sesame oil, there is nothing Korean about it except the gochujang which is also not so good. Also the chicken was really dry and I could only have one piece. This place used to be Wok Wok Express, a fast casual Malaysian place. However, in its place is now a fast casual modern Korean comfort food spot. My friend and I ordered the bulgogi (crispy ribeye beef) and the jeyuk (spicy pork) boxes. They both came with japgokbap (Korean purplish multigrain rice), roasted vegetables, arugula salad, and pickled beets. The beef and pork were flavorful and tender. The pork was not very spicy. The vegetables were well cooked and fresh. I really like the multigrain rice since it has an earthier flavor than regular brown rice. It's surprisingly healthy for Korean food and the portion was just enough to not be too full. People complained that the portion size was small but you get a decent portion of a variety of items. The place was rather small and has limited seating, literally just 3 stools so best to do take out if you can. I would come back and try their other dishes. read more

First of all, I just have to comment that the storefront is absolutely adorable. It's SO CUTE. And the owners are SO NICE. I live nearby so I've been anxiously anticipating its opening. I got the meatballs and the chicken wings. First I want to comment on the portion size. The portion sizes are small, but they're NOT overpriced. There is a difference. I felt like I got a good portion for what I paid, so they get 5 stars. -- I got the meatballs which were $5, and you get 3 meatballs and mixed veggies. It seems small at first glance, but when you consider what you're paying and the general prices in NYC it's actually a good value. You can walk down the street to Penelope and get their meatball appetizer which is 3 slightly bigger meatballs for $10. So just consider that. As far as the taste of the meatballs, they're pretty good. They taste flavorful without feeling heavy. I also got the boneless wings. They're SO GOOD I could eat them all day. They're sweet and crunchy and with a tiny kick. You get three fairly large pieces for 6 dollars. In this case, I think they should offer a larger portion option in addition to their "side" portion. I would love to eat these for a meal. If they had like a 6 wings for 10 dollar option I would eat it every day. They are addicting and a small portion of 3 wings makes me crave more. I have been waiting for their opening as I'm a big fan of Chef Han Song. I visited there between lunch and dinner time and they still get lots of customers, even they just opened 3 days ago. First of all, the storefront is so cute and catchy so I can easily find them. When I walked in, warm greeting from people in there and I feel welcomed. I tried their bulgogi box with chicken wing on the side. The portion was good enough to make me full and beef is tender and marinated perfectly(bulgogi is too salty at most Korean places I tried). Side salad is fresh and citrusy, good combination of rice and beef. I will definitely come back to try galbi box next time. Great additions to the neighborhood! read more

Glad that I got to find a really nice Korean place! My coworker recommended me this place and I finally had a chance to stop by for a lunch. I got japchae with chicken and galbie plate to go. Galbie was well marinated and the meat was really tender. Loved the sauce and the roasted veggie with it. It tasted like authentic Korean food except the salad. Wish they served kimchi instead. *they have kimchi for $3 - did not order it but it said its homemade. Purple rice is always nice. Seems healthier than regular white rice (is it really healthier? idk) Japchae was absolutely amazing. Reminded me of my grandmother's japchae! Would be a nice choice if you never had japchae before. It is so much better than Chinese glass noodle or lomein. Well-balanced taste and very flavorful. The noodle was not over cooked and still tangy. Recommend adding a meat as it adds more tastes to the dish for sure. The store was very welcoming and there was quite a line when I got there around 12:20 (the store is small so be remindful of that). Picked up takeout from this place to eat for dinner while traveling. The restaurant itself is really small and only has outdoor seating. We ordered the galbi rice plate, kimchi cream pasta, and double cheeseburger. Everything was really great! The galbi rice plate has a decent amount of meat served over purple rice, and comes with sides of pickled lotus, cabbage, and potato salad, although I believe the sides are seasonal. The short ribs were super juicy and flavorful, well marinated and had the perfect char. It definitely satisfied my craving for Korean bbq. I don't usually order burgers, but I really enjoyed this one. The bun was slightly sweet and the onion and jalapeño pickle cut through the fattiness of the meat. I also really loved the kimchi cream pasta. It reminded me a lot of kimchi fried rice, and tasted pretty much exactly what I expected, although I think it would have tasted better if we had eaten it fresh.
