After an overdue carwash today, i decided to go to Hans Beverly Auto to have a price quote on oil change. I was immediately attended to by Mr Kim and the rest of his crew (Eric, Wan and Steve). I was out and done in 30 minutes (or even less) and was charged reasonably fair not only for oil change but also other engine fluid, brake and tire pressure checks. I had my first Hans Beverly Auto experience today. Watching him do the oil change was like watching a bartender make a classic old fashion. The way he opened the "things" ( I am not a mechanic- no idea what's under the hood) and checked the oils and used the tools was just magical. When I arrived at the shop he was mopping the floor. Even though he was closing down he opened the open garage again for me. He sat me down. Turned on two fans for me. And started the oil change. His shop was super clean and organized. It looked like he loved what he did. Genuinely. What really impressed me and made me his fan (enough to download yelp and write a review). He cleaned my engine after the oil change. Then sprayed the polish. Then air pressured it. I was in a state of shock. All this for $32. And then I walked away with a goody bag, in it was a free pen and hans hand wipes. This place is everything you would want. It's clean. The service is untouchable. And the price is amazing. I hope my review helps his business. read more

Spent $120 for a complete brake fluid purge and replacement, including ABS. I was originally going to do this myself, but after seeing videos, I realized it was too much of a hassle. It's either a two man job, or you need a positive pressure pump. To purge the ABS you need expensive, specialized equipment. You also need to be careful not to get DOT4 on paint and dispose of it properly. Not doing the job properly means air bubbles in the brake lines. So I took my car to a professional to get the job done right. Watching Mr. Kim and his employees work for an hour--I was so glad I never attempted this at home. Engine oil and brakes I'll do at home, fluids I'll take it to a mechanic. The job was done thoroughly and extremely well. Employees were friendly and knowledgable. Prices were fair. This is the best shop I have ever been to. I know it's tough going to an auto shop and sometimes it can feel like people are talking down to you... not here! Eric is the best, does an awesome job explaining mechanical issues and is very knowledgeable. Mr.Kim is amazing as well, he takes his time to get it right and is incredibly fair with prices. I have a prius and I have seen various taxi priuses here as well as luxury vehicles and older cars and they are so friendly and honest. Where do I start? Can a give six stars? A plus mark or sumn? I am not kidding when I say this ranks as one of the best customer service experiences I have EVER received. Mr. Kim stayed 3 hours after closing to finish my very difficult Lexus repair...and he didn't even charge me for the additional labor. The auto repair business is full of shady characters, but trust me when I tell you to take your car no where else. From the welcoming fruit, to drink refreshments...and even bought ME lunch since the repair took so much time and I had to wait. I woke up in horror this Sunday morning to a dead car. Nothing pains me more than to deal with any car issue and I feel damn good right now. He is a genuinely nice man, very professional, and cares about delivering quality work. I cannot recommend them enough. I brought my car in bracing for a massive bill. They quickly helped me (within minutes of arriving, I was literally under the hood with an employee) and rather than being gouged, I was given a much simpler, cheaper fix than I had anticipated. Service was completed within hours, and I received only the friendliest service. They are open later than most, which is wonderful for anyone struggling to get the car looked at with a 9 to 5. The guys were very attentive and they even did a inspection free of charge; told me that my old Honda Civic needs new axles (which I already knew) and they quoted me the cheapest price amongst 3 other mechanics I went to. Really unprofessional! I paid thousand bucks try to repair my AC. I don't really about the car. I just paid what they asked. The AC is still not working after they fixed. After that I went to Volkswagen service center. Only cost me 100 bucks the AC finally works. I chose here because I think will be cheaper than Volkswagen however it cost me more and didn't fix anything. read more

I've been here a few times now and I can't say enough about how great the service is. On my most recent oil change, I mentioned that my owner's manual recommended an air filter change. After checking it out, Eric told me he was just going to clean it off since it wasn't to the point that it needed changing and would probably be good for another 10k miles. I also told him that my brakes squeaked a bit and he said that machining the rotors would help but that I could wait to do that when the brake pads needed changing. I came here after getting an outrageous quote from the dealership on repairs that my car "needed". The mechanics at Hans did a free inspection on my car and wrote done a list of repairs that my car needed. The price was only a fraction of what the dealer charged me. Excellent service and a hardworking and honest team! I went in for an oil change, and they discovered that my water pump was leaking. They called a Chevy dealership to confirm that my warranty covered the replacement, and advised me to get my water pump replaced there (so that I would have no cost)! They increased their prices for an oil change- used to be $31 and now it's $37. The owner blamed the increased price of the filter for the extra charges. I used to think coming here is better because they were cheaper and close to my work, but now I might just go next to my house and pay the extra $3.
