The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.

This was my (and my friends') first time and I was excited since I love a wine bar. I will say it…read morewas quite disappointing. I will start with the good - the Wednesday happy hour for the wine carafe was great and we enjoyed the wine. Our server was kind and attentive and recommended a wine for our taste. That being said, the food was below average. I was warned about the food but I wanted to try for myself and yikes. The breaded cauliflower and shrimp tempura tasted worse than the dishes across the street at the movie theater. Really just all fried and oily and not tasty. We got the charcuterie for 3-4 people, and there were pieces of salami that only came with 2 pieces. There should be at least 4 pieces of each to share. The pecans and the pita that came with this were stale. What saved the day was the blackberry burrata salad (even though it barely should be considered a salad). The pizza was pleasant! We went on a rainy day, so we had to sit inside and the ambiance was not great. Not a wine bar feel. Luckily I was in great company and had a good time with wine! The only time I would ever come back is on a sunny day so I can sit on their nice patio and only to have their wine.

A great wine bar I'd visit more often if it were closer…read more "Michelle S" was a wonderfully friendly bartender that made the experience even better. The happy hour wine, drinks and "bites" were just what was needed while waiting for an event nearby at 1845 Taste Texas. Ambiance is very nice and the area is well worth visiting.

She knew the menu well and made sure everything came out just right. The All Nighter paired perfectly with the Mini Bagel Board. (Seriously... the smoked salmon and capers were so good.) I left happy, full, and very ready for a food coma. I'll definitely be back.

"Reservation" is a misnomer, it's actually "reserve a spot in waitlist" or something like it…read more Reserved a table 3 days or so before the day at noon for a party of 8, to arrive 10 minutes before reservation time, to then wait over 40 minutes to be sat (55m overall). I checked in at 30 minutes past reservation and they said they were "cleaning a table", then 40 minutes past reservation I checked in again, and then they said they will push two tables together... so they weren't cleaning any table for us. They sat 2 6-tops prior to us, plus numerous other larger groups. Having worked as a head host in the restaurant industry before, at first I thought it was because they all had reservations and were just before us in those, but as they sat ~15 groups before us, I started to notice we were being neglected. Even standing right in front of the hostess station. We were sat finally 45 minutes post reservation. (55m total wait time - the day before Mother's Day, with a reservation scheduled 3 days before.) Chelsea our server was phenomenal, the food is always good, high quality and made with care.

Our server was so sweet and patient with our giant party and my toddlers. The kids meal looked good and my kids tore it up. My husband said his fajitas were delicious and smokey. My onllyyyy complaint was they only had one salmon left, so I had to change my order to a chicken Caesar salad. But definitely not the servers fault! Hard and stale. Asked for old fashion. Don't taste any alcohol, obviously watered down. So I ordered Blantons on the rock. That drink was clear as day, totally watered down. And charged $22 for it. Ordered a ribeye MR with baked potato. Ribeye was perfect and tasted great. Potato was hard and barely warm. Obviously was very old and had been sitting out since this morning. I would give a second chance of the food was just off or bad, but since they water down the drinks, that's doing people wrong intentionally so I won't go back and I don't recitative going there. I drink whisky and Blanton's is my go to. I have been drinking it for along time, I know that taste and look anywhere. It's a shame they do that to their customers. The atmosphere is ok, but the girl singing could bring it down a notch.
