Absolutely LOVE this place. it was recommended to me by a friend and I'm sooo glad I listened to her. I don't think I've ever had a pedi this emasculate and long-lasting. A friend of mine recommended this salon to me because I was not satisfied with my old nail place. This was a breath of fresh air. The previous owner was so organized, friendly, flattering, helpful and professional towards the ladies and gentlemen that received services there. Then suddenly he was gone. The new owners didn't really want to say what happen to him. So, I stayed giving the new owner a chance. The new owner okay in the beginning but as of this year, she became greedy. Shortly after, the salon began changing prices before your head could turn! Services I received in that salon for years changed even with the price listing in front of them!!! Then they would add prices when you are about to pay. Sliding in additional prices as you get services. I'm looking down on my toes nails and realizing my French toes still looks beautiful like 2and 1/2 months ago that I got it. Couldn't believe it could last this long time and looks amazing. Nails technicians were very nice, offered me water or wine. They were very friendly, professional, clean place and very affordable prize. I love this place and definitely will come back. Brandon Le did my nails! I have been going to Maui Nails off and on for over a year now. I just recently started getting my nails done by Brandon. I use to get shellac but Brandon recommended the new Powder Dip nails which are over my real nails. Brandon did and always does an amazing job! He is professional and friendly at the same time, he always has a smile on his face! Sometimes when you keep going to the same person to get your nails done, they can start slacking on their work. Horrible. This is the second time I have had a poor job done on my nails. The first time the guy was extremely inexperienced and the shellac he put on my nails started coming off two days after they were done. Today I came and a different guy cut my toenails too short, didn't really scrub my feet and when he polished my toenails one of them was completely slanted and not straight. Nightmare. I literally left there to go to another place to get my fingernails done. Never going back. read more

I don't usually don't write reviews but this is my third visit to maui nails and I was overcharged. I had a pink and white previously, but on this visit a new guy (nail tech) said it was old and said he would take off acrylic without my permission. They charged me to take off, full set and gel coat. I was told on my first visit that gel top coat was included in the price per Andy. This time Sheen (owner) said no we charge for it. I also asked if they offered buffed nails he said yes and they charge for that also. Seems like they make up service charges as they go along. The guy (nail tech) also cut my cuticle with the electric filing tool in which I bled. I had to ask him for antiseptic (he brought alcohol on a cotton). They want to charge upscale salon prices, but it is far from upscale. I also question the cleanliness. I don't see an autoclave to sterilize the tools, I am also not sure if they sanitize the filing tool used to remove dead skin. I am very aware cleanliness and efforts not to transmit diseases. I also feel duped they told me one thing about pricing on the first visit and changed by the third visit. My nails looked good when leaving the salon, but I will not do business with a salon with deceptive practices (the old bait and switch routine). This was my last visit to Maui Nails!!! read more

By far the best nail spa in Pearland, TX. Even better than some of the boutique nail spas I've been to in Houston. Went with a group of 6. We all got Shellac Mani's, Deluxe Pedis, and 30 min massages. They offer wine, and other beverages. We will definitely be back. I have fallen in love. Average prices. My first two visits to this place were acceptable, but unfortunately my third visit will be my last. The workers were not friendly or nice and my daughter and I felt that as if they were talking and laughing about us in their language. They would answer their cell phones, make personal calls or text while working on our nails. While waxing my eyebrows, the worker had a complete conversion on her cell phone -- resulting in a poor job on one of my brows. I was furious and told her if she wasn't on the phone she would have been paying better attention to detail. She argued with me and I finally refused to pay for such bad customer service. She never apologized for being on the phone -- they really don't care about customer satisfaction or loyalty. read more

Save your money. The good: I came in as a walk-in and was quickly seated for a pedicure. The bad: I was out of the chair almost as fast as they had seated me. The technician did a super rushed job despite the fact that business appeared quite slow. At the end of my process, I was thoroughly displeased to see that she had missed some spots as I still had some dry patches. You're better off going to a higher rated salon or doing it yourself. Maui Nail Spa is a spa of excellence. The owner Tina did my Mani/pedicure and she is excellent. She is about pleasing her customers. I had a conversation with her and she stated "When I do my customer nails, I treat them as if I was doing my mother's nails." Wow! She is not about the money, she is about love and pleasing her customers. I have been coming to this Nail Spa for over a year and the service is great. Management has changed for the better. This review is for SNS dip powder nails and regular pedicure. Dip powder by Brandon. Definitely 5 stars Regular pedicure is just okay. So, 3 stars Cleanliness. another 3 stars. I would give Maui nails 3 stars in general. Dip Powder nails: Get it done by Brandon! He had convinced me to try it out the first time I was at the shop. LOVED it. Considering I have very short and weak nails, he did an Amazing job. be mindful though, he tries to up-sale, even though I am glad that I tried the dip powder technique. Now the cautionary tale...DO NOT get Ben for the dip powder. He was extremely rude and was callous with my nails. Yesterday when Brandon wasn't available, the lady on the phone suggested Ben. I regret not waiting for Brandon. I felt like, Ben just wanted to get it over with fast. First, he wanted to soak my nails in acetone to remove the previous colors. My entire reason for getting dip powder over gel is, this technique doesn't use UV light or soak your nails in acetone for 10 minutes. Since asking him to not to use the acetone soak, he became very rude. I had to ask him 4 times before he agreed to clean up my cuticles. For god's sake it's a manicure place! Then I noticed, there is something clumped on the towel on my lap from previous uses. When I asked him to change it, he took away the pillow and the towel without replacing it. he just started filing my nails without another word. I had to ask again before someone working on the next station got me a clean towel! Not nice! Regular Pedicure: It's okay. Some of the techs take better care than others. They don't use individual filer or scrubber. read more

I knew better than to try a new nail salon, but I did it anyways. This nail shop provided one of the worst experiences I've had in a while. First, the shop is incredibly junky and unorganized. Secondly, the service was poor. When my friend and I were seated for our pedicures, I was started on immediately however it took about 15 minutes for someone to start on her. The guy doing my toes cut my nail in an odd shape, I'm assuming on accident and when I asked him about it he said I came with it like that. Wrong! To fix the error, he filed my nail really short to make it look even then polished my skin where the nail should've been as if I wouldn't notice. Next, my nails. So I did some research before coming in and everyone said to go to Brandon. He was doing another lady's nails next to me and they were gorgeous so I was like yes, this is going to be good. Not good. He highly suggested I get the dip powder set but I kept telling him I didn't want to because I have a new job and I don't know how we can wear our nails yet. He said fine I can do whatever you like. Cool. Weeeeeell, my nails came out hideous. The shapes and lengths don't all match. I tried to stop him while he was doing my nails but he said no just wait until I'm done and you can say whatever then. What?! Clearly the only thing he is good at is the dip powder and that's fine. But instead of saying you CAN do my nails how I ask, maybe you should tell people that you're not great with that particular style but you can get someone else over who can. I definitely won't be returning. Overpriced and not even worth it. (I got a regular white tip full set. That's usually no more than $20 or $25 because it's so simple but I paid $33 for it here! I was looking for a nail salon in the area to do a pedicure, and I decided to go to Maui. The good thing is I was received pretty quickly without having made an appointment. I wasn't propose any drinks, but as I sat there I saw another client come in and she was directly propose juices or water. First red flag! The pedicure itself was ok, I got the complete package but she burn my feet with the hot stones because it was too hot. So overall, I think it was an okay experience, I probably will not go back. Will never return to this place. First off, the salon looked like a hot mess. It was unorganized, workers' dress and appearance seemed sloppy (with the exception of 1 worker). My friend and I were seated to get a pedi and mani with shellac. My person started to prep the water as our feet were soaking by adding the antibacterial tablet to the water. He put one tablet in my bowl and proceeded to put another one in my friend's bowl. Instead of leaning over to drop the tablet into the bowl, he tosses it and it hits my friends foot and drops in ... Then he does a smirk like giggle. No biggie. It didn't hurt my friend. But seriously...how hard is it to lean over and drop the tablet into the neighboring station's bowl. My guy had this 'bad attitude' feel/vibe and did not seem professional at all. I wanted to tell my friend "let's go. Got a bad feeling." Did not do it. The man goes on and asks what kind of pedicure I wanted. I told him the regular pedicure. After that, he goes on and whispers in Vietnamese ... All day I've been doing nothing but regular pedicures. I ignore it. Act like I don't know any Vietnamese. He continues to say other things in Vietnamese to the neighboring tech. Then he begins on my feet and starts to file my nails. I ask him to please cut my toe nails shorter. He does like a wave of a hand and makes some sounds like 'yea yea yea' ... He still continues to file ... Not doing what I ask. Finally, I told him what to do in Vietnamese (with a little attitude). After that, he cut my toe nails to shorten them. Once the workers knew I understood Vietnamese, it got really quiet. Everyone did their task and it was done. I was ready to leave because this experience was not enjoyable or relaxing. After I got home, I checked out my nails ... Many of them were crooked. I ended up filing them to fix it. The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 ... The individual who did my friend's pedicure ... Took her time to help get rid of an ingrown toenail. The guy who did my manicure was kind and the massage was pleasant, but my nails were crooked as well. I also had like a 7 coat shellac on my nails. The guy did 2 clear coats at the beginning. 3 colored coats (bc I chose a super light color). And then 2 more clear coats on top. The service was just a hot mess. I wanted to ask and see if they were really certified technicians. Definitely will not return or recommend. What a huge disappointment. It was rated 4 stars on yelp. Really?!? It's been 5 days and my shellac has chipped in 3 nails. Horrible. read more

If I were to write a review based on the quality of their services, I would give them 5 stars. However the customer service and integrity of the techs calls for a lower rating. I've been here several times and overall I am generally happy with the service. What I am NOT pleased with is the ever changing price schedule. I noticed how the cost of services changes depending on who does your nails. I finally called them out on this practice. The prices posted are never what you actually pay. Each tech comes up with these out of the blue prices based on what they did. My daughter's nails went from $35 to $50 from one visit to the next, two weeks later for the exact same service. The nail tech attempted to add-on costs for things that are included in nail services (shaping, filing, cutting,etc.). I refused to pay until these itemized charges were explained. As much as I like Maui's work, I will go elsewhere if this practice continues. read more

Unfortunately this place is NOT CLEAN nor organized. They are using the same files on every client which is totally UNSANITARY. I watched them take the foot file and not disinfect it prior to placing it back on their cart. They BURNED me with the hot towel during the pedicure and didn't listen when I said it was WAY too hot. They also didn't cut back my cuticles prior to applying shellac on my fingernails. Instead of soaking off the old shellac, they drilled it off which is much more damaging. My nails and toes were done at the same time by two different people. Another employee joined them and sat in the chair next to me to have a full blown conversation the entire time. It really took away from the whole point of a relaxing day and treating yourself. I was left with nail polish all over my nails that they neglected to go back and clean up when they were done. I recommend going somewhere else as this place is not up to par. If you don't mind the drive, I highly recommend Secret Escape Nail Salon in the medical center. I've had excellent experiences there prior to my move to Pearland. I will be taking the trip back from now on as it is very worth it. read more

I went to Maui Nail Spa yesterday evening about 6pm, I live in the area and I've always thought about trying them out. So when i went it i wasnt greeted properly, I walked in the door and got the response, "what do you want today" no hello, how are you, nothing. As i was seated, I saw that they have complimentary wine and or water, I wasnt offered not nothing. The lady that actually did my nails did the shape good, but when it came to doing my simple design, she asked a lady by the name of Helen to do it for her. Helen was extremely rude, worst nail tech I've met in my life. After she did my design, i felt that the design wasnt done correctly so, i turned around and asked her if she could put two little line in the blank spaces and she told me "NO" and i was so surprised she told me "NO" and i asked her again, showing her my nail, and she slightly pushed me and my hand away!!! I believe she started talking to the nail tech that did my actual nails telling her, everyone crowded around me and was looking at my nails....HOW RUDE AND UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! Helen kept saying "NO" she's not fixing it. It took another nail tech to put two little lines on my nail. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THAT NAIL SHOP, VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE....I'll simply continue to go to Lexus Nails and Spa on Shadow Creek Parkway to get my nails done, there amazing there. read more
