I'll start by saying that the order showed up quickly, it was hot and definitely very fresh. The orange chicken was tasty, a good portion size, and not overly soggy like some places. The beef chow fun was a huge portion, probably enough for four people. It tasted very good, it was not overly heavy like I thought it might be, but it was extremely skimpy on the beef. If it had four small little strips of beef I'd be surprised. Now on to the not so good side. The barbecue pork fried rice was devoid of flavor. I ended up fixing it up with MomoFuku Sesame oil and tamari sauce. After that is pretty enjoyable. Also, it was a decent size portion. The egg rolls, I use that term loosely, are a disgrace to eggrolls. First off, they were so tiny that really four of them equal one normal eggroll, see picture for reference. Secondly, is an egg roll really an eggroll if it shows up without a dipping sauce and hot mustard? I don't know? The internals of said egg roll were kind of mushy more like they put an egg roll innards paste in it. I threw them out. I probably would've given this place a 3 1/2 star if that was an option. I was recommended to this place from a co worker of mine and we ordered the house Mongolian beef, house eggplant, beef fried rice, orange chicken and the crispy whole chicken. The food was great, the price was right and our appetites couldn't wait...we forgot to take pictures of our dishes; we were so hungry. The beef came out first and it was tender and juicy, the asparagus was good with it too, the house egg plant was nothing like I've tried before; it was really good (dipped in flower and fried) sooooo goood too!!!! The beef fried rice went good with the beef and then the orange chicken came out...sooooo good and freshly made...it was really good!!! Not like the orange chicken you would get at a fake Chinese restaurant place...this was authentic!!! The last was the crispy fried chicken....it was worth the wait...crispy and still juicy. The place was quiet, not crowded, the service was friendly and nice, the food came out in a timely manner AND the chef even came out to check on us (made us feel important) he thanked us for coming and we thanked him for making great, delicious foods. This a definitely must go to eat at...it will not disappoint. In fact we will go again, but next time with more hungry peeps. We drove to Cerritos for turon (fried Filipino banana egg rolls) on 12/24/23 and was told to come back 4 hours later as they were really busy. We also ordered salt and pepper squid but we were given this other calamari dish which I think is called the XO calamari and it was delicious! Glad they messed up that order and we were happy with the one they gave us. It had basil and the flavor was amazing. Every dish tasted authentic and traditional Chinese cuisine. The ambience was relaxing and clean. Wish they were near us but if we are ever in the area, we will definitely be coming back again and again! We talked about how delicious the food was for days! We love Chinese food and have been to many Chinese restaurants but this one is now our favorite! They are located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch and other restaurants. Plenty of parking. We'd ordered honey walnut shrimp and Mongolian beef. Honey walnut shrimp had too much mayo, a bit thick in consistency and Mongolian beef was way to greasy and too texture was not cooked the way Mongolian beef is normally cooked. In fairness, I did see a photo of Mongolian beef on their Yelp page and it "looked" like it was cooked properly. Perhaps mine was a one off?
