Drinks here run sweet! I ordered my 50% sweetness but it still tasted like 100% so I'll have to adjust next time. I got the freshly squeezed lemon Jasmine green tea which had several slices of squeezed lemon inside. Tasty and a good balance of tartness, but I'll get 30% sweetness next time. I also added lychee jelly. The bubble waffles here are good as well. Freshly made and great subtle flavor. Despite the long lines, service was friendly and quite fast. There is some seating but the store gets crowded so I'm not sure you'd want to stay inside.

Had a line but it moves fast and they make everything fast as well. Got our regular but they discontinued the yakult drink. Also got 2 bubble waffles which were made fast too. Happy lemon never disappoints. Make sure to sign up for rewards, we had 2 free drinks this visit! Not much for seating inside. But we got it to go anyways.

Well... I finally got to try this location after listening to some interesting hearsay reviews, and after having it I'm questioning my life's choices. This is inside Bellevue Square Mall not too far from the newly opened Moto Pizza, and there was still a ton of people waiting for drinks about 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday evening. No comment on service since you only order at the counter. Inside is very noisy and very cramped. I went here to get their smoky pine Oreo smoothie as part of their 18th anniversary and I wasn't sure what flavor I was getting when I tasted it. The consistency matches that of a smoothie but I could have caught a hint of what tasted like cardboard in my drink. Not like cardboard pieces but tastes of it. Drink was still all right at best. There's definitely better surrounding areas for milk tea in the Bellevue area than here.

Service was ok, but not worth the hype and price. I paid $22 for two drinks for online pick-up and they both taste straight up like milk. Do not waste your money, I requested boba/tapioca for my drink which was an additional cost and if you look at the pictures there was barely any. LOL The mango matcha drink at the back was also not blended for long enough and tasted disgusting like vomit.

Stopped by Happen Lemon inside Bellevue Square Mall on a packed Saturday afternoon. The place was buzzing with people, which made it tough to stay in line with two little kids in tow. I was a bit disappointed to see their food safety rating wasn't as high as I expected for such a busy location. We were really hoping to try the bubble waffle, but were told it'd be another 15-20 minute wait, which just wasn't realistic with kids. The drinks were decent, but the overall experience felt a bit chaotic. Probably better to visit during a quieter time if you want the full menu and a smoother experience. JY review

Located on the first floor of the Bellevue Square. It is a very busy place with nice decor, but a small store. Barely had room to wait for my order. I got the brown sugar fresh milk with boba. It was too sweet in my opinion and regretted not getting a smoothie instead.

Delightful corner shop within the mall. Look for it down the hall from the Lego shop. At 4:30 on Monday there was no line. Ordering was simple; the menu is posted and easy to follow. I appreciated getting to choose from four levels of sugar and the volume of ice. While I did not order a waffle, they smelled amazing; they come in four flavors and appear crispier than what I make at home. When ready, waffles are placed in a shaped and printed paper envelope to be handed to customers, SO CUTE!! I ordered mango jasmine green tea w boba and it is delicious. There's also little bits of mango in it, fun!!

Great customer service and awesome selection of drinks. They made sure we got the most out of our visit. Will be returning!

First timers here visiting from vegas. We really like what we ordered. We ordered the milk tea with salted cheese foam, the brown sugar milk tea boba and the chocolate bubble waffle and all of it was good... there was a small line but it went by pretty fast...

Wow, the bubble waffles are so yummy! I happen to stop by in the morning so it wasn't busy but that didn't last long. After doing some shopping on my way out was going to grab one for the road and the line wrapped outside along the side of the store. It is worth the wait :p They offer bubble waffles with various dip sauces. The cookies and cream are very good but can eat plain as well. They serve tea and smoothies. The size of the waffle is HUGE. It was about the size of my face. If you are in the area would recommend giving it a try.

The Bellevue mall is a trendy and hopping place with tons of great restaurant options. If you're in the mood for a Bubble Tea, however, Happy Lemon might be the only option but luckily it's a good one! Here's my take on the experience: Quality of food: Good. I tried their Classic Milk Tea (A1) along with the Original Bubble Waffle (H1). The milk tea was great and refreshing. I chose the "normal" sugar option which was a little too sweet for me. The Bubble Waffle was perfectly crispy, hot, and fun. Decor: okay. Even though their are chairs inside, I felt that the place is more or less designed for a quick grab and go. I don't remember much besides their being a curtain separating the front desk and the kitchen. Cleanliness: good. The tables looked clean. They do not have bathrooms. Service: good/chaotic. The cashier explained well the teas that go into the different bubble teas. The order pickup experience is a little hectic. I saw someone grab another person's order and just walk away. They were not checking if the number on the receipt matched the number on the cup. Also, chatty customers were holding off the employee from delivering the teas which created a backup. Price: a little bit high!. The teas were $5-$8 and the bubble waffle was $5.25. If you're in the mood for a quick snack of bubble tea and bubble waffle then Happy Lemon is a good option inside the mall.

Food & drink: (5/5) I got the ube s'more float and my partner got the Thai tea with cream. The float consists of Thai tea on the bottom, ube and tea soft serve on top, and ube marshmallow around the rim. It was my first time ever having OMO and my first time having ube and Thai tea together so I was very intrigued. Needless to say, they made a very good combo. I would describe the flavor as kind of earthy from the tea and custard-like from the ube. The marshmallow was pleasant for the first couple bites but by the end was a little too sweet. I got a sip of my partner's drink and it was also very good, though I can't say that I prefer it over a regular Thai tea without the additional cream. I'm hoping to come back to try the kaya toast and ube hot chocolate. Service: (5/5) We came in a rush at about 7:40pm because we were scared of a potential last call but they actually accepted orders until the very last minute. It's a very small store with only a front counter and one kiosk, and you wait in a line outside. It's definitely a different system compared to most places but they make great use out of their space. There was one worker very efficiently guiding the line and several others behind the counter, making drinks pretty fast.

We walked into a clean, contemporary space that fits well with the upscale shopping environment around it, though the store itself is on the smaller side with limited seating, making it feel more like a grab-and-go destination than a café where you stay for a long time. Even with the smaller setup, the presentation and branding make it feel distinct from typical bubble tea shops, and the visual appeal of the drinks adds to the overall experience. The main reason to visit HEYTEA is the quality and variety of its specialty drinks. Their fruit teas and cheese foam drinks are the biggest highlights, with options that focus on fresh fruit flavors instead of just sweetness. We tried the Coconut Mango Boom, one of the more popular choices, and found it combined mango with coconut flavors for a refreshing drink that felt closer to a dessert than a traditional tea. The cheese foam added a creamy layer that balanced the fruit and tea without overpowering it, and the real fruit chunks made the drink feel more substantial. Their milk teas also stand out because the tea flavor remains noticeable instead of getting lost under sugar, which is a common issue at many other shops. The matcha drinks are another strong option, especially for those who enjoy richer, more layered flavors. Drinks like the Triple Matcha offer a stronger matcha profile with creamy toppings that add texture without masking the earthy notes of the tea. The seasonal and limited-time collaborations also make the menu feel like it is constantly changing, giving people a reason to come back and try something new. We appreciated that the menu encourages exploration, with enough variety to keep visits interesting without making the choices overwhelming. Because HEYTEA has become popular, waits can be longer during peak hours, and the small store layout means it can feel crowded when there is a line. The ordering process is generally straightforward, and the staff keep things moving even when there is a rush, but the limited seating makes it better suited for taking your drink around The Bravern rather than planning to hang out inside. The drinks themselves are well crafted and arrive with the polished presentation that the brand is known for. HEYTEA stands out because it treats tea as the main focus rather than simply adding tea flavors to sweet drinks. The combination of quality ingredients, creative menu options, and strong presentation makes it one of the more interesting tea spots in Bellevue. It is worth checking out if you are looking for fruit teas, cheese foam drinks, or a more elevated take on modern bubble tea that prioritizes flavor balance over excessive sweetness.

This one is a bit off for me compared to the others in the Bay and NYC, but its great to see that its expanding. I love their expanded menu of drinks that appeals to a larger number of flavors. Coconut Mango Boom - I'm not sure what's wrong with this version but something is off balance from the usual. I think the ratio of mango smoothie was not enough so it was starting to taste like a bowl of sago in coconut milk. This drink is only delightful when that perfect balance is maintained. We walked into a clean, contemporary space with a polished presentation that makes it feel more like a specialty tea café than a typical boba shop. The interior is bright and well organized, with a design that feels intentional without being overly fussy, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to stop in for a quick drink or sit for a few minutes and enjoy the space. The drink that stood out most during our visit was the Mont Blanc Tea Latte. The combination of creamy chestnut flavor and tea created something that felt richer and more layered than a traditional milk tea. The chestnut component added a subtle nuttiness and sweetness without overpowering the tea itself, allowing the drink to maintain a balanced flavor profile. We appreciated that the tea remained noticeable throughout, rather than getting buried under the cream and toppings. The latte was well constructed, with each sip delivering a consistent flavor that did not fade as the drink progressed. Beyond the Mont Blanc Tea Latte, Choo Tea leans heavily into specialty tea lattes and unique flavor combinations. Drinks like the Osmanthus Oolong Tea Latte and Oreo Matcha have become some of the shop's more recognizable offerings, and the menu also includes fruit-based drinks and desserts for those looking for something lighter. The variety gives the shop a broader appeal than a tea-focused concept alone, with enough options to satisfy different preferences without making the menu feel scattered. Service was efficient during our visit, and the space felt well maintained despite the steady flow of customers. The staff handled the orders quickly and the drinks came out without much delay. One thing worth noting is that the sweetness levels can vary depending on the drink, so it may take some experimentation to find the balance that works best for your preferences. The location is also convenient for anyone spending time around downtown Bellevue, making it an easy stop for a quick drink. Choo Tea offers a different experience from many of the larger tea chains. The emphasis on specialty tea flavors and unique combinations helps it stand out, and the Mont Blanc Tea Latte was a memorable introduction to the menu. If you enjoy tea-forward drinks that prioritize flavor over excessive sweetness, this is a spot worth checking out.
