I got their most basic drink - boba milk tea. I know - super basic but sometimes milk tea shops even mess that up. I am happy to report that they did not mess it up! I've been to other Happy Lemons where the milk tea was slightly powdery AND the boba had no sweet honey taste. The boba milk tea here was solid - light, almost refreshing with slight sweet boba. 100% sweetness was not too sweet - tasted more like an 75%-80% so would recommend not to adjust it. read more

A small, consistent Happy Lemon location in a nondescript strip mall. In the past, I used to gravitate toward Happy Lemon's slushies and smoothies, but I've since fully converted to its cheese foam offerings. I ordered the medium A2. Black Tea with Salted Cheese ($5.50 + $0.75 for lychee jelly topping) which they claimed was their most popular item, and was impressed by how creamy and decadent it was with zero sugar and no milk. As someone who admittedly doesn't enjoy strong or bitter tea, I appreciated how mild the black tea was (kudos to the cashier for her patient and helpful suggestions!), especially with the salted cheese. The quality is quite variable - I don't think they really train people on how to make the drinks. The service is abysmal. Today I was in the plaza for something else, so I ordered on my phone. I sat outside, waiting for my drinks to be ready. I go and ask about my drinks, and they tell me I need to wait. Then 30 minutes go by of me standing, staring at the ready counter. I ask again and apparently my drinks have been behind the counter this whole time. They were warm and tasted like cardboard (probably due to the new paper cups). If this happens to you, demand a remake - wish I had done that since the drinks were terrible after sitting around that long. If you don't have to go to this boba place, go somewhere else. read more

A few of my favorites: - Kumquat Lemon Green Tea: it's on the tart side so if you like those type of drinks, this is definitely a great drink to buy. It comes with lychee jelly and is only $4.75 for a large with the topping included! - Jasmine Green Milk Tea: they make a great jasmine GMT. They balance the jasmine tea and milk well. You don't get too much of either - Boba Puff Cream: when I get this drink, I like to keep it unmixed so I get some of the salty/savory flavors once in a while. I like to get this when I'm craving a black milk tea. This drink comes with boba and is only $5 for a large! First thing that caught my attention when I entered this store is the smell of waffle. So I had to order their bubble waffle. I did not know there were flavors, I could have tried the chocolate had the staff only offered or asked me. Well, this is just my first time here, maybe I'll try it next time. As to their tea, they have lots of option. I was able to try 3 of their drinks today: Rock Salt and Cheese Black Tea, Lemon Oolong and Okinawa. I did like the RSC drink. The other 2 were okay. The pearls are a bit hard on the other 2 drinks. I enjoy softer version of pearls rather than theirs. The place was okay, although I wish they have more chairs. I'd say they're 3.5 stars. One many milk tea places in the area. This place is unique due to their unique flavors. They have drinks with salted cheese or lemonade def different than your other milk tea places. I tried the oreo milk tea with salted cheese it was not bad, but I did get it 25 percent sweet, maybe if I get higher Sweetage percentage it might be a bit better but that is on me. My friends got the ube flavor and all of them have said it was so amazing. If I stop by here again next time I'll try the ube also. read more

The fact that this store is open during holidays already makes a good impression on me. The staff are amazing! I met a nice cashier who was willing to suggest recommendations for the drinks I preferred, and the deliverer presented my drinks cautiously as well. Shown in the photos below, I ordered a Boba MT with Puff Cream and a Passionfruit GT with Lychee Jelly. The former -- eh, a bit sweet, but not disappointing! If you ever get this one, remember to get half sugar. The boba and puff cream make it sweet already. I was blown away bu the second drink. AMAZING. Anywho, stopped in late tonight and no waiting line, walked up and ordered, got a S1 passion fruit Mango green tea w/boba (std 25%ice, 75% sugar) and a E6 Honey green tea (no ice, 50%sugar). Both to our liking. Service was quick and we were able to use our Happy Lemon points card to get a few $$ off. Boba nicely chewy even that close to closing. Last weekend while visiting the bay area I tried my first happy lemon. I've never heard of happy lemon until my sister-in-law told me about it so I had to give it a try. This location is clean and spacious and services quick. Pricess are reasonable slightly cheaper than what you expect to pay for Boba or even a Starbucks. With so many choices to choose from it takes a while for you to decide what you really want unless you already have a specific flavor or drink in mind. Having been to many Boba places throughout California as well as Nevada I did notice the flavoring on their Boba milk tea was unique. I tried the Boba milk tea is it is my favorite drink from other locations in other stores and it was also marked as one of the most popular items here happy lemon. They offer a reward program so the more often you bye and spend the more discounts on drinks you will receive. The layout of the store is welcome and it allows you to lounge with your friends if you want or just drop in and get your drink and be on your way. Easy location to get to and place an order. Due to Covid, the door is temporarily blocked off but they set if up where you can insert your ATM card there for payment and the person behind the counter can process your order. The drinks have been consistently great for the past 3 years of me visiting this location. I love going here better than the one on the corner of Fair Oaks/El Camino because they actually have more parking space than that other location. I am really happy this place was so close to where I got my dinner, or I may have missed out. Omahgah. I now understand the appeal of cheese mousse. As they say, don't knock it till you try it! I first had Happy Lemon a few months ago when they opened up along Steven's Creek in Cupertino. I didn't listen to other Yelpers fantasizing about salted cheese on their drinks and freshly squeezed lemons. I got a chocolate milk tea with puff cream. One look at the powdered chocolate smeared on the side and I decided not to get my hopes up. Puff cream, I've had before and just adds this excess fat factor. Not my thing. My friend ordered a green tea with salted cheese mousse and didn't like it. Should've tried it myself. Shoulda coulda woulda. Fast forward to today! Happy Lemon opened up near work. Gosh this is dangerous! I chose black tea with salted cheese mousse and boba, 75% Sweet, 25% ice. Part of top 10! Took the usual photos before taking that first frothy sip. Whoa. Uh, that's some major salty cream. Strange. Stepped outside to avoid taking up space in the ordering area. Took a second sip, but this time the cheese fused with bitterly sweet black tea. Wowww. Like Rihanna inquired, where have you been all my life?!! By itself, the cheese mousse comes on too strong. But mixed with your choice of tea, whoo! I haven't downed half a drink that fast since hitting up Quickly's past 2am after clubbing at Pure 2 years ago, bye bye to that Nutella milk tea. When I got to the bottom, cheese froth remnants smothered last boba standing and I slurped them greedily. Was that a pinch of matcha powder on top of my cheese mousse?? Haha last minute thoughts. I'm not usually one to write a Yelp review when something bad happens but I had to for this experience. I came in around 9 to get some bubble waffles and like 2 drinks with friends. I know bubble waffles takes a while to cook so I had already kept that in mind. We put in our order and sat down. 15 mins go by and I notice them struggling with the waffle machine and the other worker had to come and look at it. I guess they did a bad batch so they threw it away and started over. Mind you, they didn't tell me anything. I just happen to see over the counter. The menu was like any other Happy Lemon location. I ordered a large A7 Matcha Latte with Tiramisu Salted Cheese ($5) and later a large D5 Boba Milk Tea with Puff Cream ($4.50) on my other visit. Both drinks tasted good and consistent with other places. It was just right with everything at normal levels. I'm so happy this location opened up!!! It's only a few minutes away from me so i will be going very very very often. First off, i LOVE how fast everything is!! I went for BOGO and on a normal day as well and the drinks came out so fast i barely had to wait. The workers are super sweet and explain things well so im not confused when im ordering. So far i tried their salted cheese drink, which i was a bit afraid to try... it sounded odd to me. but it was AMAZING. I had the mango boba green tea at Happy Lemon! What is unique about this tea is that the boba is mango flavored and there are mango chunks along with it on the bottom. The mango and green tea flavor complement each other nicely. The green tea makes a nice aftertaste, too! I came to Happy Lemon at around ~6 pm after work and there was a short line. Bear in mind that this is a review for the only drink I tried, which was the matcha tiramisu latte boba. It's one of their "salted cheese" bobas, which has a salty, creamy top like a latte. Honestly, this drink was just not my thing. It was really salty and creamy and just didn't go with the matcha tea below it. The matcha tea itself wasn't great either, it didn't taste like matcha, it just tasted like jasmine green tea. When it mixed together with the salted top, it was just really overly sweet (even when I asked for less sweet). The best part of the order was the Hong Kong style bubble waffle, which was really tasty! I'd come back for that, or try something else next time completely. read more
