I don't recommend their milk tea products. Reasons are as below: 1. I asked for "no ice". They still gave me a drink with ice. Good that she agreed to make me another one. It was just your average milk tea so pretty hard to mess up; however it took forever for them to make. It wasn't busy at all, but somehow took almost 15 minutes to get our drinks. Door dashed from here and they were very nice and professional. They called to notify me that one of my drinks just ran out of the ingredients and wanted to make it right. I was so happy because now a days people would just issue a refund without even attempting to call the customer. I appreciate the kind lady that took the time to ask me what I wanted. I've been to every Boba spot you can name in San Jose, Sunnyvale and Cupertino at this point. Kung Fu Tea is the one I like best hands down. Ever since discovering Kung Fu Tea, me and my wife have been going almost every day. The manager is a big reason for this. He's extremely nice and always willing to explain their extensive menu in detail. There are a lot of customization options as well, and He's not only patient, but excited to let us know every detail of the choices available. They have all the classics you expect at Boba places, plus a lot of really good limited time offers. We haven't tried any of the food options, but there's popcorn chicken, calamari rings, and french fries if you're interested. I think they're all Halal as well, if that's important to you. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're a Bobaholic like me. read more

Overall a decent boba shop and has many many options ranging from regular milk teas to smoothies to basic teas. They also have an app where you can order ahead of time and they often have deals on there as well (free topping or bogo). I've only gotten their milk teas, but I find that their milk teas are a bit too milky for my taste. If you prefer milkier milk teas, this place would be good for you. Best Boba tea in Redwood City. They make strong tea brews and that's what it should be like for Boba tea in my opinion. I go about 3 to 4 times a week here. I downloaded their app and have been accumulating points for free drinks. I'm so glad it's near where I work so it's super convenient. It's in the same shopping plaza where Dunkin donuts are. I've had their black tea, green tea, Thai tea and Ohlong tea. If you enjoy having tea, that's on the lighter sweetness side, I'd recommend using 30% sweetness on your order. Came here specifically to try the Pikmin drinks and wasn't disappointed. Tried both the punch tea and the punch slush, which came with popping boba (not my favorite but it was fine). Great fruity flavor in both and the drinks are pretty generously sized. I also liked that they weren't overly sweet or cloying; I really don't like super sweet drinks. The cashier let us choose which of the cups and straw covers we wanted and was a really nice guy. We were the only ones waiting for drinks and the only others in the place aside from one couple, so our drinks came out very fast. I wish we had a Kung Fu Tea closer to us here in the East Bay, especially since they get Nintendo collaboration drinks (I missed out on the Kirby one, sadly). Was visiting my friends shop in the same plaza and seen kung fu tea. I've always seen this milk tea spot in the Sacramento and Stockton area but never in San Jose, so I had to try it. Their menu is different from the spots around here which is more of a milk tea Taiwanese tea spots. This place serves a more fruity milk tea which I like. I got the guava slush with chua seeds and it was really good. I had to try the kf milk tea which was tasty too. The service was top notch. The lovely lady helped me fix my order because there was a special offer today for a free pistachio milk tea and she added it for me on the side because I messed up and didn't add it myself. Came here a year ago and I'm even more disappointed in this recent visit. The old order problem still exists. Online order has no pickup line. So you still have to go in, join the same in store order line to get your order going. Secondly, the almond milk tea I tried is also very disappointing. The boba is soft and seemed to be infused with some honey or sweet syrup flavor when I first tried it. But it overpowered the beverage. The beverage itself is also super disappointing; there's no flavor of tea, milk or almond. It's just a water down liquid. Then the more boba I sucked in, the more it tasted licorice which I hate. So yeah, that's all there's is to say. Not sure if my order is water down because I used a T-mobile coupon or because they are just bad in general. If there's one place that I could get boba for the rest of my life it would be Kung Fu Tea! I first tried Kung Fu Tea when I temporarily lived in Las Vegas and I fell in love with the drinks. (So much that my friends and I would drink it weekly, not super healthy I know haha). Anyway, I write this review for this specific location because since moving back home I really love how they make the drinks here! It tastes just as it did when I first had it, and the staff here are very consistent with how they make everything. My sister and I tried the Palo Alto location and we both agreed that the way they make the drinks there isn't the same...... I hope the Saratoga staff have good business so that they can continue to stay open! It's always pretty empty when I come here, so I would definitely say its an underrated hidden gem. read more

Kung fu tea is always a safe bet for me when it comes to Boba. Nothing too extravagant or unique, bit rough around the edges experience, but reliable quality if I've ever got that chewy craving. This joint is no different. Not ideal service, but they'll get around to you eventually with a slightly curt attitude. They were working pretty heavy on online/app orders and pretty much ignored us for the first 10 minutes, and I had to readjust my order since they ran out of that flavor. Took another 5 for us to get our order, so not too bad as far as waiting goes. Fairly minimal in terms of seating arrangement (one table outside, a few benches and a table inside), so see this as more of a grab-and-go spot. Parking is pretty straightforward being next to the Lion supermarket. I went with their Red Bean Wow Milk Strike (non-adjustable sugar level) and my brother went with a coffee milk tea. Sweetness was a bit high for me personally, but tasted pretty creamy (huzzah for lactaid milk) and looked neat with the syrup mix. The boba were all pretty remarkably soft in their chewiness, which was different from my visits at other locations. The boba themselves were fairly mild in flavor though. They also messed up on my request for less ice on my order, but I only realized half-way through my drink after it was a bit late to correct. This review is from my visit for the Fruits Basket S2 promotion in 2021. As a long time fan of Fruits Basket, I was extremely excited to hear that Funimation was having a collab with Kung Fu Tea and giving out Fruits Basket stickers. The promotion was supposed to be 1 sticker per drink, so me and my sister came early to make sure we got one. We ordered 3 drinks expecting 3 stickers. The lady working there called us up and gave us our orders with no stickers. I had to call her over and ask her for the stickers and she reluctantly gave us ONE. I asked about the promotion, which said 1 sticker per drink and she told us that since the stickers were so popular, we could only get one. She seemed extremely angry and unwilling to compromise/sympathize with us as fans who came here specifically for this promotion. If we had known that they wouldn't honor their own promotion, we wouldn't have ordered so many drinks. The drinks themselves weren't that great. The strawberry slush and mango drinks were way too sweet. We ended up not finishing them. The taro slush was the best drink, but not worth the experience we ended up having. One year later, and I can still remember how upset I was about the promotion and the way we were treated at our visit.
