tofu yakisoba was overcooked, mushy, and had no flavor whatsoever. the breading just fell off. the spring rolls were soaked in grease... not so happy teriyaki. won't be ordering again

The chow mein noodles was sweet as hell, the orange chicken was very watery, to be honest I'll never stop here again.

Inadvertently ended up here as we were searching for a Vietnamese spot. There didn't seem to be one on the left and Happy Teriyaki was the only place we could see in the fight side. So 5 of us made our way in and we were all pleased with the portion, the taste, and satisfaction. It's definitely a teriyaki spot that does it right. Doesn't stray from the standard selection. Big pictures of their selections, mixed meat plates and sushi - 4 kinds. It was a cold night and hot tea was readily available and gyoza/potstickers were crispy and worthy. 3 and growing as the older Asian man taking orders seemed to be a seasoned vet as he took orders efficiently and with purpose. As I took pics I noticed him sitting stoically behind the counter out of sight and just waiting for us to call if there was something needed. A small, cozy spot with people who care about their food and service. "Support local business. Build a great community. Embrace diversity. Build wealth in unity."

We grabbed take out and it was so good! The chicken was juicy and not dried out at all. Their teriyaki glaze isn't overly sweet but well balanced. The rice is perfectly sticky yet not mushy. Something usually overlooked, too, but is my favorite are the veggie sides. The cabbage, carrot and broccoli mix was cooked perfect. They were cooked through yet still had the snappy crunch. Because few things are worst to eat than undercooked or overcooked cabbage. Will be coming back!

Best teriyaki place I have ever been, the chicken taste so good! Including their noodles. and the staff are super friendly as well :)

Best place for lunch time and after work meals :)! Me and my girl friend be coming from Vancouver just to eat this!

    So many noodles.

I will never understand the noodle/broth ratio. It's really good but they reeeeeeally hate giving you extra broth and the soup is basically just a pile of udon noodles without it.

Pretty good! I didn't feel like driving all the way to NE for my usual joint so decided to seek out a closer SE alternative. Glad we tried this over another chain. Food came out piping hot and was above average. Meat was juicy and they also had brown rice if you wanna sub. I'll be back the next time a craving hits.

The decor and atmosphere in here is wonderful, but I feel like everything else was average or left for desiring. I'm not sure if it was because they had one server or that there was a second that just went on break, but it took a while to put our order in. We sat for roughly 12-15 minutes after being given water and menus to see the server again to put our order in. There was approximately 5-6 tables, mostly 2-tops and none seemed to be overly needy. We both ordered ramen and got the takiyaki as an appetizer. The takiyaki was ok, the flavor seemed to have been dialed back but ok, maybe it was just me or something. There were 5 or 6 pieces, when I got it from other places in the past, it's roughly a dozen, but once again, times a tough right now, so ok. Then I get my ramen, the Tomo ramen, the dish with the same name as the restaurant. It advertises to have quail eggs and some other fun stuff in it on the menu. Nope, no eggs, barely any grilled pork, mostly just the ground pork, noodles, and broth. I was disappointed to say the least. The server took some time to come check up on how everything was tasting and at that point, I just wanted to leave. She seemed nice enough, maybe having a bad night, maybe the cook was as well. We don't go out often now because times are tight, but this was disappointing. Really was hoping for something to be at least pretty good.

We haven't eaten here in a while and never in the summer. In the darker, cooler months this is a place that entertains a packed, loud, happy crowd. The food is really good, lots of choice, the service is equally on point. So, a great evening on our cold dark winters. We dropped in last week, so July. Same range of food, maybe fewer items but what we had was more than fine. The service was personable, helpful and the food was delicious. But way, way quieter - turns out Summer is their slow time, more like a neighborhood place and less like party central. We enjoy both, but the slower months allows more focus on the menu. And there might be something not to your taste but given the range you will find a dish that you will enjoy. So, pick your adventure, we like both and you will be happy with the food, the ambiance and the service either way.
