I have been using harbor Sound for the last 3 years. I order my tires through fixgo.com, and have them delivered here this place is close to my friend's house when I come and visit in Orange county. Super nice and friendly, they take care of me really fast. Plus there is plenty of stuff to look at while you're waiting. Tons of stereo equipment, speakers, amplifiers, head units and such. You can definitely get lost looking at all the stuff in the store. They do a great job, and I always feel like I have been taking care of. Of. They have a waiting room, with multiple chairs, magazines, and a TV. TV. It's definitely not the most glamorous waiting room on the planet, but it is definitely comfortable. And anyway, you're not really going to be there that long. Bottom line? If you're looking for a new set of wheels, or a stereo system for your ride, or even just an amplified subwoofer to put under the seat, harbor Sound has got you covered. I loved the pricing. I had called a few places to get the best deal, and this spot had the best pricing by far--so if that's all you care about, then this is the place to go. However, after a few weeks of using my new Alpine speakers, I have two issues. First, I did not appreciate that they turned off the bass on my amplifiers, essentially pushing me toward getting a set of subwoofers. I'm a salesman myself, and while I don't play dirty like that, I understand why they did it. Second--and this is the main reason I'm leaving just 3 stars--the installation of my amplifiers was completely unprofessional. I was never told they would need to cut into the original carpet of my car. I had a sound system installed in my previous car, and they didn't have to do that at all. I usually don't get upset at poor service but this time this was unacceptable. Not only did they get my sound system done improperly the first 3 times they still decided to charge me 1700$ for basic kicker speaker and install. This is not the place to get your business done at. You might be better off going to a different place because I had to come back 3 different times to get my screen fixed and each time I was greeted with the worst customer service ever. The first time after I left the screen would turn off every 10 minutes and was annoying. The second time I came I waited for like 30 minutes for someone to come help me and they just stared at me and when someone finally came to help me, they greeted me with an attitude of course. Once I left I realized that they disconnected my steering wheel controls so I couldn't turn the volume down from my steering wheel. I didn't even want to come back because they kept messing it up. When I finally came back for the third time I was once again greeted with attitude and the worst customer service. They finally fixed all my issues but having to come back 3 separate times is not ideal. Not to mention, I forgot to take out my things prior and I came back to my headphones missing. read more

I rarely write a customer review however after I visited Harbor Sound this past weekend, I was so impressed with this shop and service. In fact, I found this store in the area because of the high ratings of the customers feedback, therefore I gave them a try. I called the store and Jim my answered, he knew what I wanted and need the he gave me several head unit models for me to study and research. I did my homework with all information of audio and video on my daughter's car and met Jimmy. Furthermore he suggested me to go with better components that are better quality and cost less than I asked. I am very happy with Jimmy and his team with the work installation and the excellent service. Great customer service and friendly service as well as fair prices. Please stay away from this store and look for another reputable one because this place WILL rip off your money, ruin your vehicle, and waste your time. All the 1-star reviews are telling the truth, not an exaggeration. I've been to Harbor Sound before to install my dash cam and backup camera, which they did a good job, and I was satisfied with their service. Because I thought this was a good place, I went to the store again to install a 360° camera. First of all, when I called them, they said the total would be $1,500+, including the installation and products. But once I got there, I got charged $2,000+, including the labor fee this time. It's a big red flag already that they randomly charge so much, but I was desperate to have that camera, so I didn't care. Once they calibrated the 360° camera after 4-5 hours, the bird view was so distorted that it was pointless to install it in the first place. I'm very disappointed with how the product turned out. I was even more disappointed when I complained about the bird view problem, and the mechanic had no idea what I was talking about nor even knew how to fix it. The product was worth $1,000+, and I expected it to at least do a decent job for that price. What's more baffling was that a little bird even told me the store only knows how to sell the product, not how to calibrate it properly. So, this is a literal NEON red flag. To make things worse, I decided to return everything and didn't even get a full refund. I needed to pay a ton for the labor and the 35% restocking fee. So, really, I don't even receive half of the money I paid for. But the little bird was nice enough to help me get a $900 refund instead of $873. It's not a lot, but it's still something. P.S. Before I left the place, the little bird told me this place already had a lot of people trashing these people, and they would go out of business soon. This is your sign to STAY AWAY. Update: So the owner replied to me on Google, and it was full of shit. I didn't expect the product to turn out like a Tesla. I expected the camera to be what it was on the box AND its website. I've shown the mechanic videos and pictures of how the bird view should look, and he thought I was talking about a Tesla. Like no, these are other 360° cameras that are cheaper but somehow do their job better than the product Harbor Sound sold me. I've told them many times to do something to fix it, and they just say this is an aftermarket product, and I shouldn't expect it to be like a factory one. What's the point of having them install me a 360° camera worth $1,000+, then proceeding to calibrate it poorly, and expect me to be ok with it?? How do others who buy a much cheaper camera and have it work so perfectly well??? Also, I have no idea what discount the owner was talking about because all I see is more money going up than down. If it weren't for my sister making a big deal about it, they wouldn't even try to do anything to make the situation better. read more

This is a review after 5 years from the time of their install. I had a 2005 Lincoln Navigator. I purchased and Alpine head unit and two Alpine Type R subs. I had my own amplifier. They did the amp wiring install as well as the wiring for my backup camera. The head unit install was completely ridiculous. There was a massive Gap that they refuse to fix and said they did not have any other mounting solutions. After about 2 years, the reverse camera Harbor Sound supplied only worked about 70% of the time. Signal would go on and off and would become blurry. After the 3rd year, the view of the camera became extremely bright, l as if the night vision was consistently on. I should have taken pictures of this before I sold the car. They also did not program the steering wheel controls correctly. They fought with me to get that corrected as well, even after a week of the discovery! It never got done. Overall would never recommend this place to anyone. Their prices were OK but the customer service is well below sub par. read more

Came in to get my system installed at 4:30 didn't leave till 6:30 and it wasn't done right. Amp was in the trunk when I told them I wanted it specifically under the driver seat. Not to mentioned they didn't tune it properly because of what ever BS they experienced when connecting to the stereo head unit. Thank you Harbor Sound! This morning I found a small nail in my back left tire and they were able to remove the nail, stress-free! Since the nail did not puncture deeply enough to require a patch or tire replacement, they charged me nothing.
