Awful just awful, on July 4th me and my family were treated to the worst meal of our lives. We loved the music and the design of the place I'm a fan of rock myself but that's the only redeeming quality of this restaurant, for one of the busiest days of the year the usual chefs were off for F#@&ING JULY 4TH! they hired teenagers for the day. We walked alllll the way across Broadway on the Beach in the sun to visit this restaurant and I was not impressed. The food was like average. The service was great. I enjoyed the heavy metal wings. I did not care for the loaded potato skins. I shared a trio combo with my husband. It had ribs, pulled chicken, pulled pork, fries, a tiny thing beans and cole slaw. I did not care for any of it. Most outstanding Hard Rock Cafe I have been to nearly 30 Hard Rock Cafes around the United States, and the pyramid at Myrtle Beach is by far the nicest and most visually appealing. Similar in design to the Luxor in Las Vegas, the interior of the restaurant is decorated with an Egyptian theme that constantly keeps your eyes moving and looking around at the ceiling and walls. We arrive well before a rush and had horrible service. Ordered an appetizer that came out with the meal! Messed up the kids meal order. The 10.99 non alcoholic drinks in the souvenir cups tasted awful. The server gave us a stack of dirty appetizer plates! When I say dirty I do not meal old dried on cheese. I mean left over nastily dirty never been washed plates! The manager did not even offer to help make things right. We will never recommend or return. Longest soap filled lunch of my life. We go in wanting a quick burger and fries to move on with the last day of the trip. We come in and our server just seems annoyed that we are even there. NOW, I know that she had a lot on her plate. I worked in food service so I know how it is and tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. We ordered drinks... my mom told the waitress her drink tasted like soap. Like the dishwasher had not gotten it completely rinsed. The waitress said she would bring another but left the old drink on the table. My brother decided to order a mountain dew. He proceeded to say the drink tasted funny as well. She proceeded to ARGUE with my brother stating that she rinsed the cup twice because she knew we would do this to her...really?! I have a 9 month old it's definitely not a highlight to sit at a long lunch. She brought him another in a plastic glass and finally admitted that now others were complaining about it. Odd. I had a water and honestly I had to stop drinking it because it tasted disgusting. On to the food... My brisket was just so so... nothing that great but perfectly edible. My husband did say that his burger was good!!! (hence the two star rating) After all that mess it took us nearly an hour an a half to have a simple lunch filled with excuses. My first time coming to the Hard Rock Cafe and I was disappointed within 3 mins of arriving. The hostess was rude. They sat us on the "stage" and it was like we were a center piece for the restaurant (social anxiety ). You can tell they are trying to get as much seating as possible since you are sitting right on top of each other. The food was okay. I had the chicken Mac n cheese. WAYY overpriced but I figured that was going to be the case. My girlfriend got the bbq and it was okay. Waitress was wonderful and could really make more money somewhere else I'm sure since the hostess and other waitresses was dropping stuff, squeaking chairs across the restaurant. It's September, I would hate to see how they acted during peek season. ... they really want you to buy shit. It was mentioned by the hostess, waitress and as we entered and LEFT. I brought my friends here when we stopped in Myrtle Beach for spring break. The waiter must have already written us off because on both my boyfriends dish and my own he brought out the plates without our sides. He never noticed and I ended up having to ask him about it when he walked back with the check because he never even walked back to check on us. Really groovy atmosphere right in the heart of Broadway at the Beach; can't miss the pyramid! The food is actually very good and not too overly-priced, but it is pretty much on-par w/ the rest of MB, which is kinda pricy anyway. The service is very prompt and courteous, but with a bit of salesmanesque feeling (souvenier cups, pix, etc.) but no worries, they're cool if you just say "no thanks". Overpriced, not very tasty. I ordered a Baja Burger. A comparable item at Steak 'n Shake is way tastier and about a third of the price. The waiter didn't get around to bringing refills until well after my drink had been empty, and forgot to bring my salad. I was drug here by family, but I would never go back again. The decor in the place is nothing more special than an Applebee's, and the food is worse. Skip this Hard Rock, there will be one in another city you can go to, you tacky tourist. read more

I'm a little sad they will be demolishing this location and moving to another part of Broadway because the pyramid is so cool, but I'm glad that Hard Rock is thinking forward unlike other area restaurants that have closed in the area. Great paraphernalia all around the place; I hope they really channel the music side of things at the new location. Wait times aren't terrible. Parking is good. The drinks here are amazing. I would suggest not getting the souvenir glass unless you want to pay $15 for your drink. Our waitress was amazing. She took care of every request, was able to give great recommendations, and was very hospitable. I got the mac and cheese with chicken (can't remember exactly the name of the meal). The chicken was very moist and tender. The mac and cheese was alright. I've had better. Everyone else with me got a hamburger and they could not stop raving about how delicious it was. Service/ server was pretty good. Chips and salsa yuk! Stale stay away! The restaurant had a weird odor- not the whole time- it was really strong upstairs and by the kitchen. Kind of like mop water/ puke. It wasn't constant I just noticed it after being there for about 20 minutes and when we went upstairs to check out the displays.( or we would have left immediately!) Our food was ok. Drinks were good. Although when we were asked if we wanted another my husband said no and I said yes! However the server brought us both another and walked away. So my husband politely drank it even though he was full and didn't want it. Lol. But the fact that we did the souvenir glass for the first beer $11- then 7 for the second...almost 20$ for mediocre beer. Not the best price point. We ended up spending $110 on 2 kids meals 2 adult meals- 4 drinks. And chips and salsa that we should have sent back! ( that included tip)So not the best deal. Save money! Not worth the price for the quality of food. Atmosphere is ok. Not the best HRC out there. There are SO many other places to eat. I will def skip this place next time. Oh! The atmosphere is the most valuable asset, from walking up the steps of a giant pyramid to being surrounded by memorabilia that makes you go "oh hey looks it's Eric Clapton's guitar." Our server was an amazing guy, hey was very attentive and knew the menu well and was able to give us great feedback. He even did a little magic trick which entertained my whole family. The burgers we got were flavorful and amazing but that's because I like STRONG favors, my dad was reeling from the garlic that was on his legendary burger. This was our first visit to the "new" Myrtle Beach location. What an improvement over the old tired pyramid! Spacious, still plenty of memorabilia, and continuous music videos. We started with a pitcher of blackberry sangria which was perfect after a day on the beach. For an appetizer we had the One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp...if you like the bang bang shrimp at Bonefish Grill, you'll love this. Then, I had the California Cobb salad which was plated beautifully and delicious. My husband had the Big Cheeseburger, and was able to sub blue cheese for the cheddar, no problem. It was cooked perfectly and he loved it. Bottom line, great food, great service. read more
