HRC at Broadway at the Beach_Yelp_Sanju-2

One of the best parts of vacation is the food, and Myrtle Beach has no shortage when it comes to good eats! Located just a few miles north of The Coral Beach Resort, Broadway at the Beach is a local hot spot featuring a variety of restaurants to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, burgers, milkshakes, or sushi, there are more than 20 restaurants at Broadway at the Beach set to satisfy the pickiest of eaters! Hard rock café is one of the busiest restaurant at Broadway at the beach. It is now located front and center at The Avenue, formerly known as Celebrity Square. It has impressive façade featuring an oversized guitar and expansive outdoor dining. We just had a couple of drinks, got some souvenirs and moved to other attraction.

I tried emailing the manager as they requested, and it came back as undeliverable. Here's my answers - I don't remember our server's name. It was a male with dark hair. Our dinner reservation was on 7/25 and we were seated upstairs. A manager never came by our table while we were there. The upstairs wasn't busy. There were multiple tables still available for seating.

This is one of my top go to places in Myrtle Beach. Food is great, drinks are great, atmosphere is fantastic. Servers and other stuff are very friendly and helpful. Especially Kim at the front desk helped us very nicely and she recognized me every other time when I checked in. Enjoyed very much. Thank you.

The food and service was exactly what you would expect! Good & fast. We have been to many Hard Rock locations across the US. We really don't go for the food as much as we go to see which musicians they are featuring throughout the restaurant--. This one didn't disappoint at all! Glad we stopped!

Came in today, the food was standard. Nothing special, the server was nice, made sure we were taken care of. The setting was nice, atmosphere was neat.

We came for the T-shirts but it truly was a great stop and meal on our trip. Service here is above par and the whole staff is rocking. Like the staff enjoys working here and you feel it. Everyone was smiling, chatting, helping, like a well oiled machine. Food was great - kids messy sandwich made my daughter's day. T-shirt selection is cool and they have limited edition pins. We even got our picture taken upon entry and I hate those pictures - but they were cool and not too pricey and we actually bought them. Manager of this place is getting it right. The vibe is real - parking was free and you can shop in the area afterwards. Just what we were looking for.

We sat at the bar, went on a Saturday night around 8 pm. I ordered the purple haze drink and the Messi chicken sandwich. Waitress was fun and food was yummy and hot. I'm giving a 4 star because it was Saturday night and the live music stopped at 9, and the music that was turned on to play was just horrible.

Food we got not what was pictured at all in the menu.

Today was our first time ever going to a Hard Rock Cafe. Our server jessica was good and the manger Nicole was nice and listened to my concern about their food. I can tell you I will never eat at one of your restaurants again your food is horrible and does not look anything like what is pictured . The first thing we ordered was the Messi chicken sandwich and the menu showed two big pieces of chicken so I thought that I could share with my son but that was not the case the sandwich you get has two very small pieces of chicken that is not shareable and he had about 8 fries that meal was not worth 18.99. And my husband ordered the classic burger and that sandwich also looked like two people could eat it and they were also small almost like a burger you could get at McDonald's. Your whole menu is pictured like you get good portions but that is not the case. I think customers should get what they pay for not very small portions. We could have gotten a much better meal somewhere else I won't be back and I will also show any of family and friends how terrible your food is. So don't ever order the Messi chicken sandwich or you will get what is pictured below. Even the mcchicken at McDonald's is bigger than your sandwich. I also plan to email your corporate office. It was a complete waste of money.

I really wanted to like this place. The memorabilia was interesting to look at and the music along with the music videos were cool. The menu seemed limited and basic. Like, I was expecting "more" for being a touristy place. Food was basic and overpriced. Portions were a bit small for the cost and I left a bit hungry. The server was friendly but didn't do a good job at keeping drinks refilled. I think they were focusing too much on chatting up the tips rather than providing good service. Based upon the menu and prices, I won't be back. It's fun to go once in your life but then you can skip it.

The waitstaff was amazing. My friend and I asked to sit upstairs and nobody was really up there but they allowed us to dine up there unfortunately no restroom upstairs. I love the theme of the restaurant everywhere you turn your head there is instruments, posters, some outfits and accessories on display, the music was playing and outside they have a big red spinning guitar. On the contrary I was a little disappointed in the menu. There wasn't really a large variety but steaks, burgers, 3 sandwich's, salads and like one option of fish. We split the spicy Bangkok shrimp which was pretty good and I ordered the salmon and it came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was pretty good. The sauce that was on the salmon was unique but it was good. A bit pricy though so be prepared. 8/10

They quickly seated our party of five, which was a great start to our visit. The service was okay. Nothing over the top, but not bad either. There were a few times our drinks got low, and we had to look around for our waitress, but it wasn't a huge deal. One thing I did notice was that the restaurant felt a little warm and humid inside, but with how busy it was, I can understand why. Now let's get to the best part--the food! My mom ate the crab cakes and cleaned her plate. She said they were so good she almost licked the plate clean! The kids had the chicken tenders and loved them. They were just a little overcooked, which is why we ended up taking some home, but they still enjoyed them. My wife ordered the HUGE grilled shrimp salad and finished every bite. She left happy, but she did mention she would have liked a few more shrimp, especially considering the price. As for me, I had the Catch of the Day, which was swordfish. Let me tell you--if you've never tried swordfish before, go to Carolina Roadhouse and order it! I had mine broiled, and it was cooked perfectly. It was tender, flavorful, and hands down one of the best fish dishes I've had. My only complaint? I wanted more! Overall, my little family had a great experience, and we'll definitely be back. Next time, I'll finally be trying the famous ribs that everyone keeps talking about. Thanks for a great meal, Carolina Roadhouse! From the Griggs Family

We were promptly seated and drink orders were taken. The waiter reappeared about 15 mins later with drinks and cheese rolls and took the table's order. We settled on the Aspen family meal which consisted of 2 meats and 4 sides. We chose smothered pork tenderloin and fried chicken along with mac 'n cheese, collard greens, fried okra and candied yams. Fried chicken was awesome, crispy, with an assortment of dark and white meat pieces. We were looking for a knife because of the pork tenderloin and realized you don't need it. It was that tender. You could cut it with a fork and it too was awesome. Everyone raved about all the side items except the mac & cheese it was a bit on the bland side so it was not our favorite. There was no need for a refill of any of the food. The first round was very ample sized and everyone left very satisfied. And if I have a bit of feedback, our waiter was not attentive unlike the waitress serving the tables in our same area. He was didn't bother to come back and see if we needed a refill on any of the drinks or the food. The only disappointing thing was they no longer offer you a small sample size dessert to finish up your meal. It's been a while since I've dined here so I'm not sure how long that change has been in place. However, we understand the food industry continues to be impacted by the current economy. Overall, the restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. It's a nice place to feed a large family who hates buffets.

Will say the area, the location, the draw and the atmosphere is fantastic, but not the food. Our family left disappointed by the overall quality of the meal, particularly given the establishment's reputation and the high price point. The cost for 4 people exceeded our expectations an amount that felt disproportionate to the overall experience provided. The service was adequate. Our waitress was courteous, but could have kept up on our drink refills. The food fell significantly short of our heightened anticipation. Dishes arrived at the table within minutes of ordering, far quicker than would be consistent with individual dish preparations. This is served family style with options of your main courses and sides. The okra was good, but had some very hard pieces. I bit down on one that was so hard it could have broken a tooth. Green beans were decent, but extremely salty. The creamed potatoes were the best thing in my opinion and we were able to be served both the white & brown gravy's. The fried chicken was so dry and uneatable, with extremely minimal flavor and texture that did not meet standard expectations for Southern-style preparation. We realized after the fact: you can request the chicken parts. The macaroni & cheese tasted mushy offering little depth of homemade character. The biscuits were also very dry. They looked great, but tasted bland. The fried fish & tartar sauce was probably the most memorable dish. However, not everyone in our party had it because they do not like it. There's other options for "main" choices, but you'll have to compromise as a group. You'll have to do the same as far as the sides too! I would not recommend Paula Deen's Family Restaurant based on this visit and would advise potential patrons to consider other options for Southern comfort food while in Myrtle Beach. There are many more options within this great broad-walk complex. That said, I would suggest shopping in the gift store located in the downstairs of the building, as there are lots of merchandise that represents Paula Deen far better than her eatery. * If you happen to be a Food Network FAN (like I am). Flavor Town is coming to the other side of town. Location will be at the Myrtle Beach Mall & will open in June 2026*

We visited this location just before Christmas 2025 at about 6:30 pm on a weeknight and the joint was quite lively. They had a singer/guitar player doing his thing (we didn't really care for him, but that's ok) and the bar was well staffed. It's called Bourbon Street, but it's definitely not a whiskey or bourbon bar. Yes, they have Blanton's and a few other premium bourbons, but you won't find anything exotic at all here bourbon wise. This place is a sports bar that does bar food and steaks and they run happy hour specials as well. We didn't eat on our visit, but those that ordered food had dishes/items that definitely looked appealing. Prices are pretty fair here, but we felt the gem of this location was it's service. We never had to wait long at all to be served or refilled. Their bartenders (we were served by three different ones) were very friendly and quite attentive to all their customers. There's free wifi and plenty of seating both at the bar and at tables throughout. The floor plan is cut up sort of weirdly and I do wish it was one huge, open floor plan, but the roof support doesn't seem to allow for it. They do have a small stage in one corner for musicians, etc. This is a good sports bar that seems to do a really good job of sports barring. Check it out if you're looking for a competent and friendly sports bar.

Luckily I saw a packed place on Mr. Joe White Avenue called Simply Southern Smokehouse. Place looked legit and had a full parking lot so I pulled in. There is only one way in and once you get in, the cashier is on the right with the $15 all you can eat buffet right next to it. The $15 also included all you can drink soft drinks, water and sweet tea. I paid my money and grabbed a plate and ran right up to the buffet. They start out light with vegetables and sides, working up to the main courses of fried chicken, fried fish, pulled pork, smoked chicken and some hot wings. After that, they had some mac & cheese, and then the desserts which was blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, homemade banana pudding...and a couple of other things. I started off with some broad beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, smoked chicken and hot wings. I brought my plate and my silverware to an empty table, which was getting hard to find as the place was so packed and then went up to fetch me a glass of water to wash it down with. They serve Pepsi products and of course sweet tea but I was going to save my calories for dessert. The place was clean, well lit and the seating was well designed with booths along the wall and tables in the center... and plenty of room between the tables. Once seated I dug right in. The broad beans were excellent. Done right and full of flavor. The stewed tomatoes and okra, although cook correctly was a bit bland for my liking. The smoked chicken was excellent and I used a bit of the golden SC BBQ sauce on it...great...and homemade. The hot wings were the real deal meaty and moist with a nice kick. I finished the plate in about five minutes. Time for round two. On my second trip up, I put some collard greens, lima beans, a piece of fried chicken and a piece of fried fish on the fresh plate. As I sat down to eat, I put a bit of hot vinegar sauce on the collard greens and dug in. The collards were excellent and the homemade vinegar hot sauce gave it a bit of a kick and bite. The Lima beans were soft and loaded with flavor. I then moved on to the fried chicken, which was cooked correctly with the skin crispy and well battered and the meat moist on the inside. That said, it was bland. Given how well the beans were seasoned I was surprised. Same thing with the fish, but they had a real good house sauce for it which gave it a nice flavor and saved it, but overall both the fried chicken and the fried fish were bland. I then went up for a plate number three and realized I was not gonna be able to eat anymore mains, which was a shame since the pulled pork looked great... It will have to wait for the next time I come. I did, however leave a bit of room for dessert and I'm glad I did . The banana pudding was delicious with a full banana taste and 'Nilla wafers on top and bottom adding a bit of crunch. I only had enough room for one of the cobbler so I chose peach and it did not disappoint. Nice and warm with a sweet peach flavor and tasty crumbles. I wanted more but controlled myself. As I got up to leave, I placed five dollars on the table for the cleanup guy who was hustling and keeping the place neat and tidy. I then looked around and noticed this was a real local spot full of people from Myrtle Beach. You have families, elderly people, young people, construction workers and people from local businesses. For $15 it cannot be beat. Not only will I be back again but I plan on bringing some of my friends from up north who are going to love this place...plus I gotta try that pulled pork and Mac and cheese...if the fried chicken and fish have more seasoning, I'll up them to 5 stars.
