If your ever on a budget, and you have a huge appetite, this is the place for you. Today I had the chow mien with beef, a Chinese donut wrapped in a noodle, and a wonton soup for my kids. All this was under $20, and the food tasted pretty good for a small little hole in the wall type place. Seating here can be a pain in the butt during lunch time, and I also hate there parking lot, to many damn Asian drivers. This use to be my place to eat some good Wonton noodle soup. For a long period of time, they had the best wontons in so cal (in my opinion). A place called noodle boy is much better tasting. Wonton Noodles Please!! Been coming here and eating it since I was a kid and I still come here...nothing changes and that is what makes them great!! Wait...the price had been going up slightly though throughout the years...but still cheap!! Oh and don't forget to get the hot sauces, which goes great with the noodles and wonton. You can ask for water too if you are thirsty and want to save some $, which you did by eating here already. My favorite place to get preserved egg and shredded pork porridge. They really load it up here. Every bite gets you a piece of egg or shredded pork. It's also very savory. Their rice noodle with soy sauce is made fresh when you order it. I personally always get the Chinese donuts wrapped with rice noodle but my brother loves their beef. I typically get it w/o, and an order of Chinese donut to go along w it. So yummy and satisfying. Their crispy beef noodles are also popular there. I can't believe no one mentioned their beef crispy noodle with gravy!! I always order these noodles and they are really good here. Better than any cafe or restaurant in the area. I think it's the hole in the wall style which gives it the great taste. A little vinegar and Sriracha completes this as one of my all time favs. If you come early they have these chinese donuts wrapped with white noodles and they are good when fresh. Usually they are sold out by the time I get there, but if you can get em' fresh and crispy you won't regret it. As for their wontons... I like them here. A great little stand in a food court that delivers amazing food for a low price! The congee with duck eggs and wonton noodle soup are by far my favorite dishes to get every time I visit this location! Originally from Chicago, I'm currently stationed in Camp Pendleton and sadly there isn't a lot of authentic Chinese cuisine around the area. Finding out this location though raised my hopes up and I return to this stand every time I head to Los Angeles! Been eating here forever but haven't been back in a few years. Recently my wife and I decided to come back and get their son sauce pan fried noodles and of course their wonton soup. The price is definitely worth it's value of portion and if youre on a budget I'd recommend eating at this place. It's always the busiest. My only gripe is that I guess they use to be alot greasier and since eating here again my opinion has changed a bit. It's still good don't get me wrong. My wife loves eating here when we happen to be in the area and need a really quick bite over fast food. Good portions for the price and decent Hong Kong style Chinese food. It's midnight...my last review for the night. Quick service! Wonton Noodle Soup and that rice noodle roll with that long bread inside. These two items will satisfy your hunger...not Snickers. Get that sauce on the right side...the one with the sliced chili peppers. This place is popular for a reason. Try it! They have good food, but service is bad due to the language barrier and just simply rude. I took my chance and went in today to see if they have any Chinese donuts (they sell out fast on weekends). I was hungry so I landed in a chinese plaza and found many people eating at Harlam's Kitchen. This is located inside the chinese mall in the food court area. I will have to say that parking is plentiful but at certain times it is very hard to find. I had to circle around 10 minutes before someone left so that I can take their spot. You walk up and place your order and then they cook it and you take it to a table and eat it. They give you big portions for about $6 a plate which is not too bad. They serve one of the best beef stew noodles and wonton noodles I've EVER had. For me..quality over quantity any day. Yes..cafes and such sell their bowl of noodles for about a dollar more but double the portion..however the flavor and consistency can not compare to harlam's kitchen. You can see for yourself when you arrive because Harlam's kitchen is ALWAYS packed with people waiting for food or to get togo orders. What I love about this little "kitchen" is that it has the "WOK" or "FIRE" taste to the food which is soooooo goood. When eating fried rice or noodles elsewhere..its always missing something..like a little push of SOMETHING and its that WOK/FIRE taste!! AND HARLAM's KITCHEN HAS IT! I can't specifically recall all the dishes I've had or ordered over the past 15+ years but I do know I always come here for the beef stew noodles, wonton soup noodles, yang chow fried rice, beef chow fun, porridge, chinese donut/noodle thingy, etc etc. If you have NOT tried this place..please give it a shot! =] read more

On way home from work so stopped by for some Hong Kong "breakfast" but really wanted wonton noodle soup so tried this place!! You have to enter the grocery store building/entrance and there is a food court that surrounds the grocery store. There are a ton of options so you really have to focus and go where you were aiming to go!! Haha The Chinese fried donut with rice sheet roll is literally perhaps the smoothestttttt I have had on this side of Hong Kong and maybe even Hong Kong!! Next time I want to try the shrimp and beef and anything with the churn fun...gosh it's seriously that good!!!! The wonton noodle soup is way way above average to excellent range but cannot beat Sam Woo flavor...they are very generous with the volume of noodle...as much at the bowl would hold...the soup flavor is really close to wonderful but just not quite (relatively speaking). The wonton is very solid jam packed with stuffing but outside is not as smooth as some places...would come back for more churn fun next time!! Solid 4 stars!!! read more
