Harolds Corral is Cave Creek royalty!!! Being a Steeler fan is an added bonus :) Rustic meets elegance in their white table cloth "fine dining" room is such a great dichotomy to be hold, I love that :) The spirit selection is on point, beer selection was good enough, our bartender was nice enough, she could have been a little more engaging in such an iconic restaurant. It's hard to find good help :)) The southwest flavor that packs this place is pure Arizona :D We had their southwest chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and it was yummy. Heard about this place. Seems docile during the day. I ordered filet mignon. It says you should order it rare to Med rare. I did. Came well done. Second one was marvelous !!!! It was heavenly. This is quite a huge place with indoor and outdoor seating. There's a small stage for bands. There's two huge bars. Ok, so here's the thing about Harrolds. They've been around like forever. A Cave Creek staple. Let's start with the food. Overall I'd give um a 8.5 out of ten. However, there are so many dishes that are a solid 10! For example, Monday's are all you can eat spaghetti, and their spaghetti is always great. The burgers are a 7.5, steaks 8.0, and if you make it here for breakfast...a solid 10! Highly recommend the eggs and pork chop. Wow. Staff: the best. They love the locals, and are excited to help newbies. LISA is the best! If she is behind the bar, you will be very happy. See pic Sports. Hello? No matter what sport you are into, Harolds is the best place to watch. TV's everywhere! Entertainment. Live music every weekend. All great, especially Casey and company. Overall. Horrible!!!! Just terrible. We walked in dancing and having fun and they literally stated they wouldn't serve us. it was my 50th birthday and I had guest in from out of town and it was so embarrassing as I have been to Harold's so many times before and loved the live music! Cave Creek is our place and we had always enjoyed the hometown good old boy feel, but the tattooed 20-year-old staff that have an ego gets old and absolutely ridiculous because they have to work during bike week stating " do you know what I have to deal with out there?). Staff followed us out and intimidated following us across the street to threaten us. So funny how the owner Danny P. only comments on the positive but the 1 star reviews regarding his disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude staff are not addressed! read more

So So disappointed in my waitress she had some type of purple colored hair super rude with attitude not very nice of a person. Asked if I could get fries instead of mash potatoes and gravy and she automatically said it comes with mash potatoes and gravy already and walked away fast with me talking, she brings out my fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy even though I asked for fries mash potatoes were super cold bad service 0-10 place. read more

First time visit to Harold's Corral in Cave Creek while visiting my brother. It is located in a cute little town with lots of shopping. We all ordered their burgers, their cheesy double burger, the hangover burger, cheese burger and the BBQ burger with sweet potato waffle fries, onion rings and coleslaw. The burgers are huge! The BBQ burger comes with bacon, grilled onions and bacon. Very good! Everyone enjoyed their burgers. If we had one negative to say , the bun to meat ratio is a bit off where the bun seems to be too big compared to the patty size on a couple of the burgers. Otherwise it is a good charbroiled burger. The sweet potato waffle fries are good too! The atmosphere is like an old time western corral and of course a definite plus if you are a big STEELERS fan like my husband. read more

This is not a place to come "dine" but it is a great sports bar. And a previous Yelper commented on the beer being extremely cold, which I totally agree with and appreciate. I had the Southwest Chicken Sandwich which had a excellent flavor but too much cheese for my taste. Peach cobbler was missing flavor. Bazookie was really good. read more

Fun. Fun. Fun. Went for their Mardi Gras celebration last night and had a ball. Really good band in The Hot Beignets. Food was excellent. Prices are wonderful for a decent restaurant nowadays. Who gives you a huge mug of draft beer for $6? All that said, the best thing was the service. The place was absolutely packed, yet the waitresses didn't miss a beat. Came to eat 4/17/24 at around 5:45 pm in the dining room on the left and had literally the worst service I've ever encountered in my life. Our waitress (black glasses, slightly thicker woman) was rude from the minute my friend and I sat down. When asking for a happy hour menu, she said there was only 10 min left and we had to ask her to get the menu. She disappeared for another 5 minutes, giving us barely any time to order. We ordered 4 plates of chicken and 3 beers. She brought out the 3 beers and spilled half of one all over the table, not to mention all over me (pants, shirt were drenched), my Nintendo switch, my phone, AND my friend. Party foul. She didn't apologize, just said "did I spill on your Switch? And didn't offer any napkins to wipe my clothes which were drenched, front and back. Then still gave my friend his beer and asked, so do you want me to bring you a new one or is that one okay? He opted for a new one, and you can guess - it never came out until we asked for it 30 min later. Chicken came out and was cold. Upon setting it down, she set the chicken plate with chicken sticking out and it got all over my switch AGAIN. Upon letting the server know, she said "well all I did was put the plate down," and walked away. No apology. Worst part - nothing got comped. Not my chicken, not my beer. She spilled all over at least 500 dollars worth of clothing and items. She was rude the entire time and had no sympathy. I hope the business manager sees this and is willing to listen to the feedback. I'd love to come back, but she was awful and I had a traumatizing experience. My friends would all agree as well. read more

Don't be intimidated by all the local regulars - there's room for everyone . Big food that's reasonable and tasty, drink specials, and often musical entertainment. There's always popcorn and TV. If in the area ya gotta try it. read more

One of the worst restaurants we have ever been to. Server brought beverages quickly but was rude . Ordered an Arnold Palmer and it had very little lemonade in it. Waited about 40 minutes for the food to be served. Had ordered a combo: brisket was cold, ribs and chicken less than lukewarm. Fried zucchini appetizer was burned. Corn in bowl was hard as if under a warmer way too long. Cole slaw was awful tasting. There were 3 of us who had the same opinion of this meal. Manager did offer to redo the meal but we did not want it and did not charge us which was expected under the circumstances. read more

I love country music and dive bars.....have high expectations because my neighbors were raving about the food. Bummer...I was so unimpressed. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so unfriendly..she had an attitude and we waited a very long time for to place our drink order...(this review is based on our visit several months ago) Our home is just a few miles away and we do like to support local businesses... but you need to feel welcomed:( Their food was ok. The drinks were weak. We will come back sometime soon and sit in dining room and maybe have a better experience. read more

Fun atmosphere and vibe and great to watch dancing and have a drink but NOT for dinner. Staff was friendly. We visited with an out of town guest and shared the combo platter, nachos and pretzel. The pretzel was hard as a rock so we asked to take it away and our server deducted it from the bill which we appreciated. The meat on the combo platter was cold and the nachos were some of the worst we have had and they were also cold. Maybe consider reducing the menu offering and focusing on doing less items so they can be done really well? I wanted to like it more given all the great reviews but we left super disappointed. read more

I am a local. I have been here probably six times in the last six months. I really wanna like this place. But in the end, this is one of the most inconsistent restaurants I've eaten at in the last decade. Some days, the wings and burgers are solid. Other days they can't even make their spinach salad the same way twice. The vibe and drinks have always been good. They have karaoke on Sundays. But I can't keep coming back when every time I order the same thing it tastes different. All the servers we've had have had a great attitude. I gave this feedback to the front end manager last time I was there, but I don't think she really heard what I was saying. read more

Okay it's a good bar and fun with the band. But drinks are alittle weak but okay. The food is good when you drunk and need some good greasy food in you. I did love that they made me a poutine, (French fries, gravy and mozza cheese) so they got huge bonus points from me. I would go back as I have been here before. I've been visiting the Cave Creek area my whole life and there's one place that i go to every time I'm out there and its called Harolds. It's a restaurant / Steelers bar. They have good food and a great happy hour, But my recent trips to Harolds haven't been so pleasant. I'm not sure what has changed in the past year but Harolds has taken a turn for the worst. I have noticed some things that who ever owns Harolds really need to take a closer look at who they have running there restaurant. I have own and ran a couple of restaurant's myself and some things I've seen lately really disturbs me. I went to Harolds one Saturday morning and my waitress who was also the manager had served my breakfast while she was talking on her cell phone. I personally think that is very rude and also unprofessional. The next weekend i went to Harolds and i brought my young niece and nephew and we were greeted by the manager who was talking to his employees about some very inappropriate things about what his girlfriend did to him last night. I was so disgusted that i heard that and also to have my young niece and nephew hear it to. I went back to Harolds the next night and i was put on a wait for a table outside and as i was waiting the very same manager was there and he was sitting on his lap top not helping anyone. I'm very confused because the place was packed. He sat on his lap top for 3hrs straight. I do enjoy Harolds but i will no longer return there. I hope that the owner really focuses on who he/she has running there business! read more

The food is terrible and expensive, service is worse and the place is far far away. The only reason we had been going there was for the ambiance of Steelers games. We buy season tickets at the same table year after year. We went to the preseason game as usual and were seated at our usual table. Two rude white guys came to our table during the second quarter and claimed they had been sitting there for 5 years and rudely told us to get up. We told them we had these seats for three years and never saw them once. These two bullies would not leave us alone. One of them tried to hit my ill husband at which point I had to insert myself and scream at the top of my lungs. The staff never intervened and the owner was nowhere to be found for 20 minutes of this harassment. It turns out they sold our seats twice this year, to us and the bullies. When the owner finally showed up he did not apologize for selling the same seats to two different parties, he said the two white bullies would get our seats this year and he could offer us other seats which turned out to be next to the bathroom! Our seats were in front of the big screen TV. From the way these two bullies acted and the owner defended them I'm guessing they are somehow related or it was my brown skin that caused the rude and unfair treatment. The discrimination is real. Me and some friends walked in the bad just when it was about to close. Instead of telling us they rudely gave us a drink and when we went outside 3 security men started entertaining a bunch of females who's with them by calling us the worst people. Calling us witches and approaching my 5'2 friend and went up all in her face when she made an innocent joke. I don't know if this is an American thing but I did not appreciate it. When I started speaking some thought it would be adorable to their female friends to call me out and tell me to go back to my country. So overall this place is horrible. The people is horrible. The security men either perf or they play God behind their $5 printed shirt. Approaching smaller women and trying to intimidate them.. big no. Calling out legal aliens .. huge no. And FYI I'm here to play basketball for this country and me and my team will never sit foot in cave creek again. Harold's is a redneck country bar. If you're a Democrat, enter at your own risk! My wife and I went there for a beer and quick bite tonight and found ourselves between a couple bigshot know-it-alls who were more than happy to use very foul language to disparage anybody who isn't a Republican. While talking about a boating experience he was upset about a sailboat that was unable to get out of his way because there was no wind. He yelled out "ask them if they're Democrat or Republican! If you here anything but Republican, smash their ass!" This was a relatively mild exchange and he went on to drop a series of F-bombs to talk about Obama and any non-Republican. I decided not to join in the discussion but rather get up and leave. I've seen too many guys like this who are more than happy to keep escalating their vile language. Harold's had become a regular hangout for us, but I think I've about had it with the ignoramus rednecks that feel the need to blast out their hatred and language in front of anybody in ear shot. read more

Horrible. The only things this place has going for it are it's history and location in Cave Creek. The food, when we finally got it, was mediocre. Most of it was lukewarm, room temperature or cold. The broccoli that came with our orders was ice cold, as if they pulled it from the fridge and put it on our plate. To say something to our waiter would have been a waste of time. He obviously had better things to do than take care of our table of ten people. After repeated requests for dinnerware we had to raid other tables to get utensils. And that was the tip of the iceberg. Drink orders went unfilled, we were charged for side dishes that were included with the entree, and we had to chase him down to get our check. Out of ten people in our group, nobody enjoyed their meal. By the way...this waiter blew it. If he would have been on the ball, we would have ordered at least another $75 in drinks. I love the bartenders and staff besides the wannabe "macho security" staff. My group was there for 2+ hours when a creepy guy comes up and won't leave a new found friend alone. My friend and I walk her to the circle k safely, come back a few minutes before 2 and we are told we're not allowed in. Great? Well I want to grab my wife that's still inside and they say no, call her. I get aggravated at that point because I don't want another beer, I want the safety for my wife. I get her to start coming out so we can leave and creepy guy is blocking her, making her hug him and holding on to her while she's trying to leave. Tell me why I get yelled at for getting up on the side of the porch telling this guy to let her go and this guy doesn't get reprimanded at all. Fuck that and fuck you guys- you've lost my business. Maybe hire less ego-fanatic assholes and I'll reconsider. read more

A group of us went to Harolds for their 4th of July party because we heard it had the best buffet and fireworks. Both of which were true! Also-the bands were great cover bands so it was super fun to dance and hang out... The only problem...most of the GIRL bartenders. They tried to overcharge us multiple times and were sooo rude it was uncomfortable. Not only did they completely ignore us several times but when we finally did get their attention they acted like we were bothering THEM! Hello we are here to BUY drinks and TIP you.This place would easily be worthy of 4-5 stars but the girl bartenders ruined our experience so much we will not be making the drive back.... Harolds-if you are going to go through all of that trouble of putting on an amazing fireworks show and great food, at least hire people who are going to do their job well.... read more

Appearances can certainly be deceiving. Yes, Harold's has a western saloon/honky-tonk feel to it, and morphs from live music venue to sports bar depending on the day. But the food and drink menu has a ton of variety, and there's just a great vibe to the place. The food can sometimes be hit or miss...but in general, I've very much enjoyed the meals I've had there. The live music scene is great...but perhaps Harold's most redeeming feature (other than Amanda and the frieldy staff) is that it's filled with Steelers fans on Sundays during football season (the place bills itself as "Heinz Field West"). Friendly staff, varied clientele, live music and Steelers football -- what could possibly be better? Oh -- and if you order a salad entree, beware -- the portions are huge. read more

Always so, so good ! All the food, entertainment (there are not many places these days with great live entertainment), staff, atmosphere is the best. I know we ALWAYS will have a great meal whether its a burger, fish fry, prime rib or even some of their new items on the menu like street tacos or turkey burger YUM. Whenever we have a chance to have a beer for happy hour or in the event a family dinner or date night or ALWAYS with our fam from out of town we pick Harold's. I also appreciate the owners, Danny and Meri Piacquadio are great people that give back to the community and truly make their regulars and new customers make their experience memorable, oh and Go Steelers it is almost football season yet another reason Harold's is so great!! read more

I went to Harold's last Thursday morning for my hubby's birthday. We just moved here from out of state and still very new to the area. We heard about Harold's and their wonderful food. Our waitress kaylee as we now call her k.k. Because we are not very good with names! Was the sweetest little thing. My husband is trying to get me into beer and she knew so much about your beer choices and gave me awesome recommendations and asked what I liked in a taste. She had me try your seasonal pumpkin beer and it was delightful. Our food was amazing and she delivered it to us made sure that we had everything we needed and wanted. I'm educated in the procedures that are required to have a service dog as I'm a disabled vet. You DID NOT have your pet properly vested and I witnessed you bullied, swear and torment staff. We went down to Harold's for the Rodney Atkins concert on Saturday night and had an awesome time! They had all the big radio and beer vendors out there in the concert area, and the restaurant and bar area were jam packed but we didn't have to wait very long for food or drinks. There were probably a couple thousand people there for the concert, but they managed the crowd well in comparison to some big busy bars i've been in. We were able to meet the owner and his family, and they were more than gracious to us, very kind people and fun to talk to while we were enjoying the concert and afterward. I would definitely be there more often, but I live in Tempe, and thats a bit of a hike for me! read more

The teenage girls that are hostesses make me never want to attend this junction ever again. One of the below comments referred to them as "snotty teenage girls," and I could not agree more. Before I saw the skinny curly haired one them smoke a miniature VAPE, the other walked around the whole restaurant, chatting many servers, and without making eye contact with me at all, she sat us. They seemed to be giggling and doing anything but seating as there was a line accumulating behind me, and they easily added 15 minutes to our already 10 minute wait for a nearly empty restaurant. I love Harold's Corral. I have been coming here since 1998. During Football season I am there every Sunday to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. If you love the Steelers you will not find a better place to watch your team. I think I have eaten everything on their menu. They have the BEST wings in town. I also love there filet Mignon, prime rib, and salmon dishes. Breakfast there is also great. My personal favorite is there eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros, yummy. Harold's is a fun place to go and hang out and have some fun with your friends. They have some amazing bands that play there. I love the Crown Kings and Mogollon. I really don't like to bash on a place. So I won't. I would never.... never recommend this place to anyone. In fairness though, I do know people who eat there all the time and like it. As I say in every review: you should check with your local government website for the latest health code violations before eating someplace. Search the restaurants name, and see if their status sits well with you. Yelp should include health code status in my opinion. Harold's has a great family setting with very friendly and helpful staff. The food is outstanding from breakfast to dinner. When the sun goes down on Thursday through Sunday they have several different bands from country to rock that will keep you on the dance floor all night long. If you are your own band and love karaoke then Wednesdays are for you. They are also a community oriented business that supports the local events that help keep this western small town atmosphere alive and thriving. The place would have been OK if the bartenders weren't Pm'sing. There were two girls working that have no business being behind a bar. My friends and I were greeted by a tall beautiful brunette. With that being said that will be her only compliment, this girl was rude, surly and just down right mean. We actually felt intimidated to ask for another beer, we didn't want to inconvenience her while she cleaned with a down right hateful scorn to her face. Okay, I understand its been around forever and is a town staple, but . . it seemed a bit run down. The music was great though, watched Young Country, I don't even like country and I was dancing. The food was a bit questionable and the waitress that served us appeared to be drunker than we are . . . still, it wasn't terrible at all. We had a good time in general, but I would rather a cleaner bar and if the wait staff is going to be drunk, they could at least have the courtesy to be fun. Recently went for dinner with a group of friends. I have Celiac's Disease and asked our waitress ( who was very nice) to check to see if the entree I wanted was gluten free. She look confused, went to ask her manager and came back. She stated that her manager had no idea what that meant. Are you kidding me? Absolutely no knowledge of a common food allergy is unacceptable in my book. I live in CC and why folks like the food here is beyond me. I have yet to have anything that was tasty in this place. Feels like a locals/ Home vibe place, speak up, help yourself if you need something & leave your attitude at the door (tourist) Food is simple breakfast food, hot & busy place. The scramble eggs were basic, the sausage patties are large & full of flavor, sourdough toast is soft & the "house potatoes" ate really basic(no onions, peppers).
