Worst staff ever. Told us to leave right after we got there bc we had a Mexican friend with us and they tired to fight us in the parking lot. It was the security guard with the cheesy mustache and the bad tattoos. And then he called over his small friends to try and intimidate us further. The one lady followed my wife accoss the street after we were already leaving to further intimidate us. Made her cry, celebrating a friends 50th bday and these 20- something year olds were awful to us. This place is terrible and it was empty when when we walked in. This is my favorite bar to go to. Cave Creek is an older area so from 2-8PM on the weekends the locals are always around but once it gets later that's when the younger crowd and out of town people start showing up. Drinks are cheap and bartenders are nice; the Honey Hot Wings are the best wings I've ever had btw I would definitely give them a try. read more

Since we live in the area, we've been to Harold's many, many times. We mostly go for happy hour. The crowd is very local. Whenever we go, we see the same faces. The best part of Harold's is the extremely cold beer. Plus, they have a great selection of beer. Our happy hour favorites are the hot wings, the southwest sliders, the potato skins and the street tacos on Tuesday. Certainly, the price is right for happy hour. On our dinner visits, we mostly go with guests. It's a way of introducing them to life in Cave Creek. When visiting at night, be prepared to pay to park. But the money is refundable when you visit inside. It's a way to protect their parking from the other bars. For us, their breakfast is a miss. There is nothing that we've had that we like. read more

We are well aware that this is a Steeler's bar and that you typically need a reservation for the game. Steelers were playing in the afternoon but we went for an early game. No problem getting a table. What we didn't anticipate or appreciate was the waitress trying to close out our tab mid-way through the 3rd qtr. of the early game which was at least 45 minutes before the Steeler game time. At about 20 mins. before game time, we were told to leave. If that's the policy, Harold's should tell customers the "rules" before they get seated. We probably would have made a different choice. I try to eat breakfast at Harold's once a week. They don't open until 8:00 so I sometimes have the Monterey omelet around 10 or 11 -- it's got it all: 3 eggs, loads of bacon, avocado, onions, etc. comes with a side of toast, and a nice helping of potatoes! And salsa on requests. Ask the hostess for Margaret's section--no matter how busy they get, she keeps your cup full and seems to remember your name and favorite order. Ok Melissa saved the day huge! I saw another table ask for her help as they were ignored by the 20-35 yr old male with the buzz cut and zero smile as well. I asked if she could take my order and when she heard I and others had been ignored she apologized several times. She was quick, got the other table and my orders out with drinks. Have had breakfast here but never dinner. A lot of places in Cave Creek had wait lists but didn't have any problem getting into Harold's. Had a martini and then we split an order of quesadillas and tacos. Service has always been good, as I'm sure they put up with a lot (from all the tourist). We had an unusual Monday off for the Juneteenth holiday so we took a drive with our small dogs to Cave Creek and decided to have breakfast at Harold's Corral on the spacious, dog-friendly patio. Our server was Andrew Alexander and he was awesome! He immediately greeted us and engaged with our dogs as well, including a bowl of water for them when he brought our drinks. Except for the items that were forgotten altogether! No water was served until I asked for it and when it finally arrived there was only one glass for me, none for my husband. I ordered a filet medium rare and it came out well done. The nachos were yummy and definitely a large size, 3 of us ate them. They did not have a whole lot of toppings though.
