Our appetizers from the Indy Lunches (2 out of 4 ordered this option) arrived at the same time as the apps for the entire table. Thus, it felt somewhat uncomfortable and rushed. Started with a martini w/ blue cheese stuffed olives, then had the strip steak "Izzy style", side of mashed potato's, with a glass of Cabernet. Everything was great. Server was friendly. The thing that killed me was hearing the wait staff complain about people and tips right by me since I was sat near the area they put in orders. I get things might suck at times but take it off the floor so the cusp can't hear it. The food though, I did the deal they currently have. If I could this place 10 stars, I would. We've eaten here now on four different occasions, and each time it has been equally fabulous. The wine menu offers a great selection, and if you aren't sure which is best for you, we've found their servers to be incredibly helpful in making the right choice. For appetizers, we have tried the grilled slab bacon, the signature shrimp cocktail, the calamari, and the romaine hearts salad - we now have a hard time choosing between them because they are just that good. The horseradish in the cocktail sauce is powerful and fresh, so be prepared for your sinuses to open wide. The steaks are cooked to perfection and are so tender that you don't need a knife, and topping one with Gorgonzola butter was an unexpected surprise. The salmon is some of the best that I've had. You will be pleasantly surprised to see how generous the portion sizes are when it comes to the side, and if you're a fan of brussel sprouts, I'd highly recommend their version. Dessert is a MUST. The signature brownie is made from flour that they make in-house with crushed Oreos. Yes, you read that correctly - it is the best of the brownie and cookie worlds. The Woodford Reserve bread pudding is something that everyone should have at least once in his/her life. It takes about 15 minutes from the time you order, but it is WELL worth the wait. In fact, you could use that time to take a quick lap around the restaurant to digest your dinner, and that way you will have room to enjoy every bit of this treat. Helpful tip - it is beyond big enough for two, so you can always share. Went last night and had one of the best dinners ever. We had Sawyer as our server and she was fantastic. She got triple seated when we got there, but it didn't seem to phase her at all. Our waiter gave us the rundown on the storied history of Harry & Izzy's. From our experience, the waitstaff was impeccable. However, the overall price was way too high for the amount of food we ordered. The appetizers were well priced for what we received, but the scallops entree (recommended by our waiter) lacked for the price. For just under $40, I received three medium sized scallops that came atop vegetables that was minimal. As far as taste, everything was delicious. I've dined at St. Elmo's dozens of times, but for some reason, never ventured into their sister restaurant. The rumor is, Harry & Izzy's is co-owned by Peyton Manning (Who, I have seen dining at St. Elmo's). Even more reason to try this joint out. On a Saturday evening, there was about a 20 minute wait- which wasn't bad. This was a green light for my sister and I to hit up the bar for a drink. The bar is a circle (hence, Circle City), and they had a decent selection of spirits. Once seated, our server was about as good as they get. She made what I viewed as honest recommendations. Our table was across the board, but here were the winners: 1. The Ahi Tuna app. Just order this, and thank me later. Sushi grade tuna, which was one of the best apps I've had. A tad pricey at $16, but indulge, and just order it. 2. The 45 day aged strip. Jesus Christ, I don't get giddy often, but this was an impressive cut of meat.
