Ordered UberEats and my order arrived quite fast - in less than an hour! Got their Lunch Bento box (Teriyaki Combo with California Rolls) - $17.95. The price was reasonable and the portion size was generous. However the quality was just ok. The salad wasn't too fresh and contained mainly of yellow (not too many green) lettuce, a few thin strips of carrots, and a slice of tomato. The salad dressing was too salty and sour for my preference. The chicken was very dry and overcooked. It came with a lot of chicken but I wished the chicken was more tender. The teriyaki sauce was not bad and paired decently with the chicken, making it slightly less dry. The California Rolls were probably my most favorite since it tasted very fresh and delicious. It had plenty of imitation salad and avocado so it was very enjoyable. The miso soup was not too salty and packed with flavor. It was very refreshing and tasty. Overall, I thought the meal was average and it seems more like a quantity over quality kind of place, based off the bento box.

Best service, the food is really good. We ordered tempura lobster roll (with REAL lobster) not crawfish like some other sushi spots, 3 other rolls. Yakisoba, bbq beef ribs. The yakisoba is good to split for 2 people. The ribs were tender. Not too sweet. But the star of the show is the lobster roll! We are actually going back today for it. Thank you for amazing service and great food!

We are always looking for new sushi places to try. This one is inside a plaza that has lots of Tesla charging stations. So parking was not easy (unless you drive a Tesla). There is some street parking available. The inside was bright and looks newly remodeled. Service was good. Sushi was delicious. The combination hot food was just okay. Will come back to try other dishes.

So far so good! This is our first time here at Haruka Sake and Sushi and it wasn't too crowded on a Thursday evening. I ordered the omakase A which came with 8 different assortments of sushi and a spicy tuna roll. They look super delicious and taste just as good! The fish is just fresh and I'll definitely say the prices aren't too bad for a sushi restaurant. The decor of the restaurant is modern and minimalistic which gives a nice upscale vibe. The servers were very attentive and even cleared plates very quickly that were in our way. My husband works down the street and I am so glad we took a leap of faith and tried a new sushi spot!

First appearances interior is upscale and modern. Our server was extremely attentive and took her time to explain the menu. Dishes were brought out promptly and everything came out fresh and delicious. Entire staff were nothing but positive vibes. HIGHLY recommend! PS. try the yellowtail

I visited Haruka with a small group of friends for the holidays, and we ordered a variety of appetizers, sushi, and chirashi. Overall, all of the fish were fresh and tasty ,and our server was very present in refilling waters and checking in on us. After sipping on some Sapporo, we started with deep fried Shishito peppers. The kick surprised me, since I wasn't used to them being so spicy (!) Then we moved onto the Agedashi Tofu; nothing like a nice crisp fry and a soft interior to start the meal. After that, we had a variety of sushi and enjoyed a chirashi and sweet shrimp - yum! Some of these were so good that we even ordered two! Finding a favorite was indeed hard. Even the ones included eel (my least favorite) were enjoyable!

Came back to Haruka Sushi for dinner with my boyfriend and his mom and had another great experience. We sat at the bar and chatted with sushi chef Nathan, who was super friendly and kind. We ordered the scallop nigiri and sweet shrimp nigiri again since they were my favorites last time and they did not disappoint. My boyfriend's mom got the eel bowl with avocado and tamago, which is perfect if you like cooked fish with a little sweetness. We also shared a few rolls including the rainbow roll and the yellowtail lover roll. Both were really good and I liked the asparagus in the yellowtail roll, such a nice touch. My favorite dish of the night was the Burukurabu Salmon Wrap. The blue crab was amazing and the ponzu with truffle oil paired so well. Chef also made us some mackerel to try and it was buttery, flavorful, and not fishy at all. Another great sushi night here and I will definitely be back soon for my weekly sushi fix. :)

This was our first time dining here, and my husband and I had such a wonderful experience. We started with the garlic edamame and beef gyozas, which were both delicious and a great way to begin our meal. For sushi, we ordered the 2-piece yellowtail, a salmon hand roll, and the weekly special sushi. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To finish off Lunch, we decided to try the green tea and mango mochi ice cream, and it was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, we loved our experience and can't wait to come back again!

Happy that it's new ownership!!! It's very nice inside and modern. The sushi and rolls are VERY DELICIOUS and fresh!!! I ordered my Cali rolls with brown rice and it was so good and moist and not hard at all. The miso soup was also very good and hot and fresh and not salty. The food for me was 5/5. The service was great as well. Our server BRI was very amicable and friendly and did not mess up her order. She was very welcoming. Overall, I will come back here and I highly recommend this place for good Rolls and Sushi. They have really good reasonable prices and the food is bomb. I had no regrets. They have parking in lot too! -Marshay D.

A hidden gem in Pasadena -- perfect stop while your Tesla charges! Haruka is right next to the superchargers, and it's become our go-to spot whenever we're in the area. The restaurant was beautifully remodeled in February, and the space feels both delightful and tasteful. We've had lunch here three times recently, and each visit has been consistently excellent. The lunch bento boxes are a standout -- fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. The salad is crisp with a light, refreshing dressing, and the California rolls and teriyaki are outstanding. On top of the great food, the service is warm and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely worth a stop whether you're charging or not -- Pasadena has a lot of options, but Haruka is one we'll keep coming back to.

Been coming to this location with my wife even when they were still Yes Sushi. So happy that the only difference is the decor has changed. The staff here are always so amazing and they really make us feel so welcome. Special shout out to Sunny. She almost always serves us when we go and she is one of the reasons we always come back. The food is always great and fresh. We love that this is an our go to sushi place and definitely recommend!

Stopped by this cozy Japanese spot and wow -- the chirashi bowl was amazing and very pretty. Every slice of fish was fresh, and perfectly chilled over fluffy, slightly vinegared rice. It was like getting a hug from the ocean. Paired it with a glass of chilled sake that hit all the right notes -- clean, smooth, and just the right amount of warmth going down. The vibe was calm and intimate, perfect for a solo sushi moment or a quiet dinner. Service was kind and attentive without hovering. I left full, happy, and already thinking about my next visit. Highly recommend if you're craving quality Japanese fare without the fuss.

I haven't dined in yet, though on my list to do just because the positives vibes this amazing restaurant has. As for food, 10 of 10 recommend. Orders are always correct. We're ordering different things all the time and I've yet to dislike a single thing. The sushi is soooooooo yummy. For door dash, they sort the food by the group order. My daughter's name is Lotus and they always draw a flower on the top. It's little details like this that tell me the people preparing this food care about it and the customers they serve. If you haven't eaten here, don't hesitate. It will become a staple you order over and over again and tell all your friends about.

I had planned to be phone-free for the hour, but curiosity bested me and I whipped out my phone for a scan. The bulgogi with rice and miso called to me, strangely, considering the heat outside. The atmosphere at this slow hour was so nice I almost wished it was raining. A few Clairo and The Marías songs later (at the perfect volume--audible, but still low enough to have a quiet chat) my miso soup arrived. Now, it's been a good few years since I've had miso soup, and I've never really been crazy about it, but this... this was some damn good soup. Liquid umami. Then the bulgogi and rice came. This is the best bulgogi I've ever had. So tender. Quite literally melted in my mouth. Punches of savory juice, tender fatty bits, golden brown perfectly caramelized onions, and a sweetness to bring it all together. Every bite was perfect. It washed over me and my shoulders and spine practically uncoiled themselves. I want to try more from the menu but... I'm... I'm going to need this again. Like tomorrow. I should say, especially for the price, this is a lot o' grub. A perfect filling portion, especially with the rice and soup. I had a smoothie a couple hours earlier so I really should've asked for a to-go box 80% of the way through... but I was just having too much fun stuffing my face to stop. To recap--lovely service, great music, and food to live for. And a restroom. It's not public, but they do have a restroom. Thank god for that restroom. I was hungry, yes, but more than anything I really needed that restroom.

We ordered multiple nigiris, rolls, and appetizers for our table. The servers and staff seemed to not communicate with each other, leading to slow and sloppy service. The nigiris came out much later than the rolls and the bowls, to the point where half of our party was done eating before the first nigiri plate came out. In fact, the service was so slow that the servers started to clear our plates while we were waiting for them to bring out our food The servers were awkwardly clashing plates at our table and being difficult about refilling the water and tea. After dropping $800+ as a table, we were waiting on one last nigiri (Yellowtail Belly) to come out. We asked our waiter to check on it for us, and he came back to us saying it should have been on the plate that had the other Yellowtail Nigiri on it. The reason why we brought this up in the first place is because the two didn't come out together. He then brings another waitress who tells us it should have come out already, and then another who tells us completely different information (i.e. it came out with different fish). Overall an unpleasant experience. Would not be back again nor would I recommend this place to anyone, especially since they made such a big deal out of $10 nigiri on a $800 bill.

She especially loved the dramatic cold fog rising from the ice, and needless to say, she is now officially in love with caviar! We ordered the: * 50g caviar service (ten out of ten, no notes) * shishito peppers (the sauce is out of this world) * uni pasta (the heavy cream is divine) * Wagyu strip loin steak (melts in your mouth) * baked lobster roll signature roll (pure decadence) * blue crab and salmon signature sashimi (rich, silky, and incredibly fresh) * albacore crispy onion signature sashimi (fireworks in every bite) * garlic albacore signature roll (so good, we forgot to talk) Every single dish was outstanding. We honestly couldn't choose a favorite or even rank them. The flavors were so fresh, balanced, and beautifully executed that we didn't even reach for the soy sauce. Before we left, we also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Tigran. He took our family photo, personally walked us out, and made us feel incredibly special. That level of hospitality stayed with us just as much as the food. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, chic, stylish, and perfect for a special occasion, while still feeling warm and inviting. The karaage had a solid fry, and wasn't greasy at all while being both crunchy and juicy. The sauce was a creamy and spicy and paired well with the chicken. The tuna don had a generous portion of tuna and rice. It tasted fresh and was a simple and well executed dish that satisfies your cravings. The soba noodles were a surprise to me. I didn't expect the soba noodles to be in a sauce with a string sesame oil consistency and taste. It was refreshing yet a bit heavier as a result. I also love the variety of fish provided with it. Overall (5/5): Disclaimer - we came here late April. But this is a gem in Pasadena that we wished we visited sooner! The lunch deals have very generous portions for the price and we were super stuffed after. We also were quite impressed with the execution of the tsukemono which looked like canned vegetables mixed with mushrooms that were pickled together for an unexpectedly rich flavor. The vibes of the establishment are modern and tasteful, and we really liked how spacious it was. Service was also solid. Overall we hope to be back to further explore the menu!
