Came here for lunch to try the wine burgers. The bar is definitely a place for the regulars to hang out from what I could tell. Got the rodeo burger and a regular cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. I asked for mine medium rare, it was raw except the outside. It was re fired on the grill vs replacing or re making it. That's their policy, just an FYI. Then it became a well done grey burger. The rodeo burger was cooked well, no issues. The fries were good and the onion rings were good as well. I used to live going to Harvey's for years. Went with a friend after seeing a play downtown. Sat at the bar and encountered the RUDEST bartender (blonde hair-middle age) we've ever encountered. She ignored us for at least 10 minutes then. No water, no acknowledgement, no menus. When we asked her for these items, she was put out. We decided to put our hard earned $$$ elsewhere. We let her know how incredibly rude she was & if she was that disgruntled with her job to find a new career. The other female bartender asked us to stay & told us she was "just having a bad day." First visit to Harvey's because of a TikTok posts giving Harvey's an excellent review. My wife and I shared the super deluxe and the sampler. First the burger was amazing and delicious. The meat was tender even though we ordered the burger medium well (my wife's request) the French fries were hot and fresh. Next the sampler had jalapeño poppers, mozzie sticks and chicken tenders. We will not be ordering the samplers anymore. The food was over breaded and hard. The service was amazing, very friendly staff and had total control of the bar and restaurant. It was busy for a Friday lunch rush. The establishment was nice and dark. Nice decor and many TVs to watch sports. We will definitely be back to try the other burgers. read more

I was so excited to try Harvey's Wineburger for the first time as I've heard great things about it over the years. Unfortunately, our group of 8 was met by an unfriendly wait staff and owner who refused to serve us. We even offered to split our group up and sit at 2 and 4 tops that were open but were told they wouldn't serve us. It's safe to say I will never experience a Harvey's Wineburger as I will never go back. The good news is we ended up going to McKenzie's Midtown Tavern and had a great time. The waitress, Robin, was awesome and the food and drinks were great. The people in our group who ordered burgers even thought they were better than Harvey's. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Harvey's was disappointing enough to warrant one. From the moment we arrived, they were inattentive and unfriendly. We were told that they could not serve us until after 3 it was noon. We were told that they could not accommodate our party size. We offered to wait and split up and we were still told no. WARNING, WARNING , BEWARE!!! First time there,11/20/24 10:45 am was greeted upon entering by bartender, showed him up picture from the website of what I wanted, which was the spicy burger! Took my order.I was sitting at the bar right by the grill... went to restroom to wash hands. As is customary! The restroom smelt horrible, the paper towel dispenser broken wore out... went back to the bar and was watching the cook. Play on his phone obviously has an addiction! Should seek mental help! And then I noticed that he did not wash his hands nor have gloves, but was using his dirty hands. They only have a couple regular chairs, everything else is tall bar stools. Parking is extremely difficult at lunch time.

Wow ! After hundreds of times driving by this place and always commenting about stopping in for a burger , well WTF was I thinking !!! This was one of the best hamburgers I've had in a long time. The taste of the beef was amazing and fresh. No frozen patties waiting to be grilled here. The service was above the roof with all smiles and friendly hospitality. Looks like the service staff really enjoyed doing their jobs. Very impressed and honestly one of the best kept secrets around phoenix. Stay humble and just serve the burgers just the way you do now ! Well this is my favorite burger place with the best burgers hands down in Phoenix!! Well let's talk.. I ordered a mushroom burger and I ask that it be thin. I had B surgery and can only eat small amounts. The server that brought my hamburger was very rude. It was thick so I asked her if I could get it smashed or thinner? She snatched my food and my friend s food and said if we did not like the food we could go somewhere else. I have never had food snatch out of my hand this was the most, disrespectful, unhinged, crazy thing I have ever experienced. I have been coming to this restaurant for 20 years!! Went to Harvey's on a Saturday for lunch. Jazz was our server. She recommended a buffalo blue burger which was incredible. She was fantastic. I usually go there in the evening and have never seen her before. She would be a great add to the night crew. I'll be back soon. read more

A hidden gem but in need of a refresh. The food is fantastic, highly recommend the Harvey burger. The drinks are strong and the solo waiter was so fast on his feet you barely notice he was the only one for a room of 50+ people. The bar is clearly a favorite with the locals and you can feel the energy and friendships in the room every time a person walks through the door greeted with almost cheers! Okay the decor....... Walls with gaps between them, different paint colors, wires just dangling from the ceiling. You can stick you hand between where the wall goes from brick to dry wall. Not sure what we did to get ignored while our 4 top patiently waited for our server to take our food order. We all sat with empty drink cups and had been waiting a while but this server decided to attend 3 other tables while they ate, paid, and then he started to pick up their dirty dishes all while we were told he would be back more than 20 minutes beforehand. Ultimately we ended up having to flag him down so that we could just pay our bill without eating because he was passing the table multiple times but not stopping so we paid and went to another place to get food. Your classic divey bar, with flair. Long bar, pool tables, a few seats, jukebox, chef right out front smashing fresh ground meat - yup! This is my vibe at least once a week. First, the burgers are fresh and delicious. The onion rings and fries are cooked to perfection every time. The jukebox is always filled with an array of music that I have such a fun time dancing to. The bartenders clearly run the place, and they've been doing this a while. You get what you get because trust me, they're 100% in charge. Just know your order when they come over because no one has time to waste. I get the classic burger and a few beers each week and have never been disappointed. It's so consistent, I bring different people here each time I come so I can share the experience, and they are always thankful once they devour their food. After over 50 years in business, I can see why they are still around. The burgers are amazing. The drinks were good and strong and the atmosphere was exactly what I exacted and more. We had two different burgers and a sandwich and they were incredible. The drinks were solid and strong. Both food and drink service was fast and there's nothing more you could ask for. Been here a few times over the years. Food is great. The guy cooking is a master at his craft. That said, he's a miserable runt. First time bringing my girlfriend in, we were in high spirits, I simply inquired as to what he was making because it looked so damn good. He started to mumble about something and was visibly upset. I thought it was a joke at first, it wasn't. He was bitching about having his air pods on and to piss off essentially and just go read the menu. We left.. Came back a few more times and it was generally okay, but asking for a box for my leftover food however feels like I'm detention. This last time though, I went in there and they kept making gestures and pointing at me. Cook kept dogging me. I asked my gf what's up with that? She inquired about it and I was accused of stealing a whiskey shot the last time I was there. I was flabbergasted. I came in, spent good money, tipped. All that jazz. Never even did a shot let alone steal one... this inquiry led to a confrontation that got the attention of the whole bar. The chef took off his cooking gloves like he was ready to try something. Absolutely never going back. So if you want to eat good food and get shitty vibes this place is for you, you might get accused of theft however, or god knows what. This is a service only review. I've been to harveys many times and never had an issue until this afternoon. I walked in and it was busy so I was expecting a wait on food. I asked if it would be more or less than an hour for a burger because I had somewhere to be. The bartender responded "I have no idea. I'm not cooking." The cook said "45 minutes but for you, an hour". They both looked very frustrated and were clearly taking it out on customers. I would watch what happens to your food here. read more
