I haven't been here before and I wish I would've known sooner how good the food was here. I took my friend out here for her birthday, and we went around brunch hour on a Friday morning. We didn't know it would be super loud in there based on the DJ's playlist. Nothing wrong with that, but I just wish the hostess didn't seat us right next to the music since we were having a full on conversation. New in town and it's our first Sunday Brunch in AZ! Was so excited this place is less than 15 minutes drive from our new home. The vibe was awesome, we came during the Cinco de Mayo! DJ playing music inside and the service was great! Friendly atmosphere, open bar seating unless you want to wait for a table it could take an hour. First drinks! The original Bloody Mary for my man and The Follower for me, very tasty and I get to keep my cute disco cowgirl cup. I ordered the Melina's which is a simple egg Benedict, it was done properly, eggs poached to perfection and the sauce was done right. The brisket hash was smokey and fresh, gravy on top was perfection. The next drinks, the cure is a size of a shot, so don't expect a full glass. Lucky You drink was way too sweet for me, it tasted like I was drinking a strawberry milk to be honest. Our server was attentive and provided great service. We had a very tasty breakfast served by a most charming & engaging waitress. She was nice about moving us into an auxiliary seating area to get away from a speaker that was blaring music at excessive decibels, even to my blown out ears. We sat on a screened outside patio that had effective heaters for the space. That was appreciated on the brisk morning we were there. I had a cup of coffee accompanied by a smoked beef brisket hash stack that had excellent flavor and texture. The hash stack came in a 8" cast iron fry pan. Bottom layer was home fry potatoes & a bunch of melted cheese. Middle layer was the shredded smoked beef brisket and a couple poached eggs with gravy poured over them. Top layer was three large crispy fried onion rings. All in all, it added up to a generous portion. Large ceramic coffee cup came empty, but they left each diner an insulated carafe of about a quart of coffee to pour their own. Coffee was good on flavor, not extraordinarily so but okay, and caffeinated enough to do its job. Diner who had brioche french toast gave it passing marks as okay. Price was relatively expensive. But Phoenix is a pretty expensive town to eat in overall. Downside was that we asked for receipt from their digital tablet payment system & didn't get it brought to the table. After about 15 minute wait, we went & tracked down our waitress who very apologetically printed it for us. read more

I was really teetering on what to give as far as a rating. The food is good. Kinda pricey just like every where else now a days but be prepared for a lengthy line on weekends. We had gone on a Friday a couple weeks ago prior to Christmas and we waited for about 30ish minutes which isn't terrible when we were already checked in etc. we had a large group for a Friends birthday so i was expecting over an hour wait minimum. Even with the check in. Once majority of our group showed up we were able to be seated. Our server was extremely nice and attentive. Always a huge plus in my book. Especially when they are on top of filling waters! I decided to order the loco moco because i rarely see anyone post about it on any social media platform. So i made sure to post about it on my Instagram food page and now here as well. It's good. Just kind of lacking some kind of spice so i ordered a side of cholula to throw on top. It made the dish a million times better! It was so good. I had to stop eating after a half because i wanted some to enjoy at home. It's such a huge portion size too! I definitely look forward to ordering it again potentially next time in the future. The Bloody Mary was good to but i prefer mine as a michelada since I'm not a huge fan of vodka. Then the manager on duty acknowledged the wrong and made it right immediately. Thanks for the speedy fix! (hence the stars being 4 instead of 3) 5th star missing due to glasses on table being dirty (had white chunks on inside of glass), dirty tissues and paper on bathroom floor (which I cleaned up because I was raised to leave a place better than what condition you found it in), food proportions being off (this time around but immediately corrected) and bad waitressing (older woman I never saw before). This is one of our favorite places and is definitely in the rotation for weekend brunch! The portions are massive! Some of my favorites are the carnitas hash, the Dr. Mollen Vegetable Frittata, and the Christmas Tamales. My fiance loves the Big effing breakfast sandwhich (literally about the size of his face) and the Tsunami pancakes. The cocktails are all a little on the sweet side for me but they all look very fun and festive for brunch! The food certianly explains how there is always a line and the DJ keeps the party going! Good morning Yelpers.... We stopped here for breakfast and oh my. If you are NOT a big eater be prepared to share. I had the breakfast burrito without the peppers and onions and the size puts chipotle to shame. My wife had to share her pineapple upside down pancakes (4 of these babies) on a medium size pizza tray.. Here we were not ready for the size and the manager came by and worked with us and was kind of enough to allow us to cancel one of the pancake orders. This place was a great weekend breakfast/brunch vibe! They had a live DJ, a nice set up of a drink bar to order drinks while you wait for your table. We enjoyed breakfast and would definitely come back. We ordered the billionaires bacon, and the crème brûlée bruschetta for starters. They were both good, but just didn't blow us away. The bacon taste like a rib to us. The main entrees we ordered buttermilk pancakes, waffle with berries, crème brûlée French toast sticks, cannoli pancakes and lastly the chicken and waffles. It was 5 of us and the favs are definitely the buttermilk pancakes and the French toast sticks. The chicken and waffles were good, but just not a fav or as good as others my husband has had. Go here when you are not hungry. I am not from the area and did not realized how trendy this place was. Our wait time getting there by 11:15 am for a table for 3 was 1:45 min. If you ask me there is no food that it is so good that I will wait this long for. I was not the only one on the party otherwise i would had left. With that in mind if there is a way to make a reservation do it or head your way out there when you are not hungry. Once seated everything went pretty smoothly. Our waitress, Alondra, showed up almost right away and since we had waited for so long we already knew what we wanted to order. We placed our drinks and food order right away. We got our food within 10-15. The food presentation was good (see pics). The taste was not bad but for sure not worth the wait. Worth mentioning.. i was able to add chicken tinga to my chilaquiles. That surprised me and thought it was a good combo. We got the chocolate pancakes and que croissant burger, again, nothing extra special worth noting. The staff was super busy with customers but judging from our waitress they are friendly and willing to help. I did get to visit the bathroom and though the decor looked updated it did need servicing as there was rubbish on the floor and there was no soap available. The overall ambiance was nice with updated decor and trendy (way too loud, i could not even hear music waitress) music that gets you in a happy mood. Busy place with a long wait, but we did go on a Saturday. It is a bar+club music+brunch in a nutshell. If you want to start off the day feeling amped and boozed, it is the place to go! Good menu variety and served in fun ways. Chilaquiles had good flavor, Birria burrito was fine, just didn't have that juiciness I was looking for.
