Loved, loved The Hash Kitchen!!! This review is a bit late but I just had to review for this amazing brunch spot. I was out in Scottsdale in November for my friend's bachelorette party and was recommended this place by a friend. The reviews also made me want to come here. So on Sunday we headed over & surprisingly didn't have a long wait! We were told over an hour but it ended up only being 30 mins or less. Great service!! Bonnie was such a great hostess making sure everyone was having a great time. Our waiter was also super nice. We all ordered mimosas and then realized let's switch it to a sampler since we ordered different flavors. I found our waiter & he had already done that for us. Talk about customer service! The Bloody Mary bar looked amazing too. It's actually a bar with someone behind the counter giving you your preferred choice of alcohol. Then you walk around the bar and add your toppings. A couple of us ended up getting one to share & it was tasty. Although having a bartender make the drink always tastes better! I can't remember what I ordered but it was delicious! We had the booth seat near the DJ and I loved his cap; it said #Hash !! Although I expected more of a party style place it was still a great experience. Went for breakfast this week and made our first visit to Hash Kitchen. DJ in the morning was odd, too noisy for me. I ordered a hash skillet, it missed the mark. The best part was the onion strings on the top. You had to dig to find the main ingredients which was annoying. I always try a restaurant twice before I write it off, it may have been a bad day. read more

Probably one of the best places I've ever visited for for brunch. Food was delicious. I would highly the lemon & ricotta pancakes! Bloody Mary bar was incredible! Saw the pictures of the food and HAD to come check this place out! It's pretty good size restaurant and came for breakfast. Wasn't too busy, was seated right away. I tried the banana split brioche and not only was it huge, it was delicious! Had berries on top with whipped cream, and the second layer had bananas and Carmel sauce. Didn't get to finish it all but wow it was better than expected! May just have to come back to his place again! read more

Went there for Sunday morning brunch. The food was excellent. Had the avocado toast, which was delicious. A bit slow on the service, but they were pretty busy. The thing I didn't like is the loud music (DJ playing "Clubby"kind of music). Way way too loud for breakfast time. Please tone down the music, so people can have conversations over the table. read more

Hash Kitchen has been recommended a number of times as a trendy hot spot. I will start with the volume of the club music, it's unbelievable! It's so loud that my ears were literally ringing. It was giving me a headache and a panic attack. Our server couldn't hear our order and we were yelling it out. 4 of us at the small table couldn't even have a conversation. It was absolutely obnoxious. I know the whole, "if it's too loud, you're too old" saying (and I usually agree) but this was unreal! The food was boring and bland without much flavor. The feeling was if you aren't a plastic stereotype Scottsdale socialite, you don't matter. I tried really hard to like this place but just couldn't. Not for me. read more

YESSS! Delicious chicken and waffles! I came here with a friend but we had to split the entree because we were so full from the Bloody Mary bar (the jalapeño poppers are bomb at the bar are bomb). Overall, this place has delicious food. I'd definitely come back to try other brunch items on the menu. The biggest downside to this place is probably the noise. This place was popppin with a DJ and very loud people. This wouldn't normally bother me but I could hardly hear my friend sitting across em so if they toned down the music just a bit, it'd probably help. The service is a bit slow but expected because this place is so popular. The servers were also really friendly so we didn't mind the slow service as much. Also, we were told the wait time would be 2 hours by but it was only 20 min so that was awesome! Other than that, the overall environment/look of this place is pretty awesome. read more

The only reason this place gets a 2 is because the food is good. And by good I mean...like it was edible. OVERRATED. Service SUCKS!! Not worth the height. Our waitress forgot our order for everything. We were rushed out. I wasn't even done with my food and the busboy kept coming over trying to take my plate. We went to the bar after to get a drink and we're told we can't stand near there because that's for ppl who want to eat and we already ate. Such a cool experience!! The mimosa flight was awesome and if you love bloody Mary's you're in for a treat! The food was delicious! We had the chicken & waffles, s'mores pancakes and some chorizo egg skillet or scramble thing and the billionaire's bacon. It's a little pricey but you must go at least once! I was so excited to try this place but it was honestly an absolutely horrible experience. Thursday- Sunday they BLAST this horrific club music. And when I say BLAST I mean BLAST- like it actually might be easier to hear the person next to you in a literal club. I wasn't aware that this was their practice and came here on a Thursday with friends. I couldn't hear a single thing anyone was saying and we all had our food boxed up and left early because every single one of us had a pounding headache. I guess if you come Monday - Wednesday you don't have to put up with that but the first experience I had was enough for me. I get wanting to seem like a "fun" spot but if everyone leaves with a migraine I don't see how fun that is read more

Had such a great experience the first time, I had to return with the ladies. The establishment has a welcoming environment...Bloody Mary Bar as you enter :-), large menu with vast options from sweet to savory dishes and an outstanding bar. Can't get enough of their mimosa flights (various juices to choose from) and enormous Avocado Toast. Two thick slices of Brioche bread each topped with avocado mash, bacon jam, braised pork, fried leeks, an egg, and green chili sauce served on a cheeseboard. Delicious and my go-to! I would say this can be split amongst 2-3 people depending on how hungry the group is. Great for a group wanting to enjoy tasty food and drinks. read more

We stayed at a hotel near this spot and I saw them on Yelp, became a more interested when an Uber driver randomly mentioned that he loves it and suggested that we should try it. Needless to say, we tried it and it was a 1000% great experience! We visited Hash Kitchen around 11:30 on a Friday and it was full, inside and outside, we ended up not having to wait for a table as 2 seats became readily available at the bar as soon as we joined the waitlist. The breakfast steak burrito was huge and we shared that with along with a side of fresh fruit- the food was fresh and pretty good! We did a few mimosas that also came out quick and were tasty as expected! I meant to try the bloody Mary bar but ended up being satisfied with my mimosas. The ambiance of this establishment is nice, great service, 25 and up type of vibe, with a DJ playing great music today! read more

Certainly glad I stopped by. We started off with the Bloody Mary bar. Options for salt rim included bacon so of course we went with that along bacon infused vodka. The website indicated bacon as a main ingredient topper but it was not an option when we got there, however, upon request it was available...had we not asked one would've never known. For breakfast we had the carnitas which is apparently the top favorite of restaurnnteers and the corned beef hash. The flavor was spot on but we were left feeling...where's the beef! We dug into the excessive amount of potatoes only to find more potatoes, the amount of meat with each dish missed the mark. I'll be back only after I check out other Bloody Mary bars in Scottsdale, may not be for a while but I'll be back. The vibe was positive and the DJ was spinning some great mixes. Be warned...wait time can be up to 45 minutes and for good reason! read more

This is my first review I have ever written so not fun or happy. The plan was a peaceful breakfast on a Sunday morning with my husband. This restaurant appears to have a mission to BE COOL, not about service, not about food, not about your customer care. We have been here a couple of times so we went early 8:00. We arrived and it wasn't busy, we were seated but noticed the seat of my chair was sticky so grabbed another....also sticky, finally found a clean chair. Server Jose was great with his service but related to service my husband went to the restroom and came back with wet hands and stated there were no working towel dispenser to use. Food arrived and I quickly lost my appetite as on top of my protein pancakes and fruit, in plain sight was a large bug. We called Jose over and he removed the food and was lost for words and went back to the kitchen to replace my order. As my husband ate he asked me if I wanted to have a few bites of his. So I did, and his dish was not very good. A random person came over and apologized and handed me a donut??? (as a feel good, like I was like 5 years old). All of a sudden the music went up to a high level as a DJ joined his own party, all morning discussions were now over. Which on one hand is a way to drown out unhappy customers. Many tables were commenting about the volume of the music. My NEW dish arrived and you could tell they were quick to replace it as the pancakes were not cooked in the middle. Then we received our bill, fully charged for this great experience! Where is the manager? So, I had to talk over loud music asking Jose to have management remove the bugmeal from our ticket. If you want an outing which requires no discussion and want to focus on drinking at 8:00 am as food is not your interest and not talk to each other because the music is so loud this is the place for you!! They focus on the COOL, be ready to party on an early Sunday morning. Maybe I missed the mission of this place, my alignment was way off my expectation. read more

Hash Kitchen is more of a touristy restaurant with a trendy environment and Instagram worthy food, they even have a disco ball, occasional DJ, and incredible Bloody Mary bar with all the toppings to choose from. I personally always get excited to try Hash and the food always looks amazing but have been let down taste wise every time. It's okay, just nothing that keeps me going back for more. I was expecting an outstanding meal but that wasn't to be. I got the chicken with waffle. The chicken was okay but pretty bland. There were a lot more leeks than chicken. The waffle was half cooked and soggy. The coffee was very good and the service was great. My husband got a 50/50 breakfast burger that was supposed to be half bacon. He said it was just a plain burger and he couldn't find or taste any bacon. Music was super loud (and definitely not to my taste). Probably won't try it again. Reasons why The Hash Kitchen is better than yo momma's kitchen... 1. The service is amazing. Food was fast and fresh and we were checked on often. I dig that 2. I've been here on multiple occasions -- in fact it's where I take all my friends/family that visit from out of town to -- the food has yet to disappoint. Usually, I would give this place a 4 or 5 but several things fell short. FOOD They have a few unique items, such as the build your own bloody mary. I live for novel foodie things like that, but body marys aren't my thing. The flight of mimosas was quite pretty though. Food was decent but I the bitterness I felt from the 2-hour wait made it difficult to appreciate the texture and sweetness of the french toast. It was pricier than Snooze, but I wouldn't say it was better. I saw a couple of items on Yelp that I didn't find on their menu. SERVICE I was told the wait would be 45 minutes. Which was reasonable, since it was a Saturday at 11 AM. Trying to not badger the host, around 1.5 hours later, my brother followed up to ask about our place in line. After flipping through a few pages, we were told we were "second in line." Having observed literally everyone come after us being seated, and realizing that their alert device was likely manual rather than automated, we were pretty sure that they mistakenly marked us off the list and forgot. It was about another 25 minutes for our order to be taken and food to be brought out. Something I found strange was that the waitress apologized for the wait of the food preparation after she saw that I had taken photos of and with the food. However, the amount of time it took for the food to be ready was reasonable, but the wait to be called in was not. I guess what I'm trying to say it that I would have appreciated a real apology and perhaps a small compensation, especially because the extra 1 hour we waited resulted in pushing back errands and having to cancel plans for that afternoon (we were visiting the area). Overall, our waitress was nice but Snooze would have been a more welcoming and less disappointing choice. I thought it would be nice to try something different, but I think it's safe to say that it was not worth the wait -- 2-hours for an average 10-minute meal. What's the point of chatting when you're starving and can't hear the person next to you anyway. Also, I recommend an electronic waitlist for customers to view their place in line through Yelp or another platform. It would allow for people to hang out at a nearby store or grab a drink elsewhere rather than have a huge group of people loitering in the parking area and next to people trying to enjoy their meal. I honestly don't know how people would do it in the middle of summer. ATMOSPHERE It's definitely the go-to spot for "bride tribes" or bachelorette brunches. I loveee that they allow dogs in the outside seating area. The decoration and cliche phrases on the wall make for a nice background for photos. As someone in my 20's I thought the live DJ was nice and appreciated the smooth transition between songs. However, I wholeheartedly agree that the music is incredibly loud and that it is not possible to hold a conversation with the person next to you, not the mention, placing an order without repeating yourself. I get putting on a fun and trendy vibe, but the purpose of brunch is usually a catch-up or conversational type of meal, and it's not possible when music is blasting as it would at a night club. To add on to the rant, the waitress brought back one ketchup instead of two. We weren't sure if they were having people share but I assume she couldn't hear everyone because of the music. I also felt there wasn't sufficient syrup to drown my french toast, and asking for more was an option but I was over it. PARKING Located at a shopping center, there seemed to be sufficient space. Since they do not have a waitlist via a phone application, the seats outside become filled quickly, so some people will stand in the parking area. Music is super loud, making it difficult for people loitering to notice that someone in their car is trying to back out or pull in. OVERALL It's a cute place, especially if you want photo ops for a bachelorette party. Water had a strong tap or Arrowhead taste. Brunch food is average, though certain drinks like the bloody mary and flight of mimosas looked fun. They allow dogs in the outdoor seating area. Music is unnecessarily loud. Quality of service is average. Ohh and don't forget to check-in on Yelp for 5% off your order. read more

Currently on a mini vacay and decided to try out this place. Upon arrival it looked very busy and I figured the wait would be long. Sent my gf in to check in and find out the wait time. She was told it was 35-45 minutes, but once she arrived in the car within five minutes our table was ready. That was a great relief because we were starving! Our server was prompt and brought us waters out immediately. The menu was thorough and had all the information we needed. We ordered the chicken and waffles and herb chicken hash. My gf loved the chickens and waffles. She tore it up lol. Said it met her expectations. As for the hash I got the serving was great. Definitely felt me up. I do wish there was more flavor to the dish. It felt like it was missing some taste to it. I did substitute the poached egg for scrambled. Which probably led to it being dry. It needed some uuoomphh. We went to brunch this am and there was a DJ playing music so incredibly loud that we couldn't hear each other talk. That being said when the waiter did finally come to greet us at the table he put in the wrong latte (didn't hear me right I guess) and the lady that brought the drinks was guessing what kind of latte it was and got kinda snarky when I told her what it was supposed to be , as she eye rolled and said she would make another. I didn't appreciate that at all.. The food was decent and all lot of it. The waiter was not engaging but was nice however we had to ask for more water hot sauce etc. read more

Literally finished my meal here an hour ago. Food was very good and portions plentiful. Bloody Mary Bar is nothing short of spectacular- but there's more to an enjoyable dining experience then these things- although they greatly matter as well. It's the overall experience that is important. Service is why I am giving Hash Kitchen 2-Stars- and it is why I do not recommend this restaurant. Many others have great food AND great service too. We arrived early when it was slow and lots of tables were open and we were seated promptly. Our server- whose name I do not recall was polite and came back 2 minutes after he handed us our menus. We asked for another minute but ordered our coffee which he said he would bring right over. Fast-forward 25 minutes and still no coffee and no server to take our order. Four ladies at the next table asked if we "were having problems getting served" like they were. They stated they were waiting about as long as us for the meals they ordered- but no food. Minutes kept ticking by, and we apparently looked miffed, so another server came by to ask if we needed anything. We said we had been waiting for coffee for almost 25 minutes and we could see our server serving other table who came in after us- and he was also out on their patio serving new arriving guests- but not us. A few minutes later our server appear with our coffee and an apology that was fraught with excuses such as; "they piled too many tables on me"- which is not the customers fault. He took our order and then the manager appeared- an apologetic woman who wanted to make sure we were happy. We explained we weren't, and were just about to leave when the server finally brought our coffee after we waited nearly 25 minutes. She apologized again and said they had a "rush of customers"- again not our problem. Our meal finally came- and the manager once again stopped by to make sure we were "happy." We then saw this same manager speak to those ladies at the next table and she "adjusted" their check for their inconvenience. They were the ones who looked "happy' when she personally brought over their "adjusted" check. Not sure what she comped- but she made them smile. The manager however offered nothing at all to us for our aggravation & inconvenience- not even a dessert. Perhaps the inconvenience of certain guests is more important then others- but apparently Hash kitchen did not think our patronage- or us having to wait for almost a complete half hour before our food order was even taken and coffee was served- is worth a return visit from us. No worries. Our money is just as good elsewhere. read more

This place is something else! It is anything you could want at a breakfast restaurant. Like literally anything. I know I am just going to repeat what the other Yelp reviews have said, but man oh man is this place good. If you have read any of the other Yelp reviews, you will probably know that they have an elite Bloody Mary bar. I did not personally order a Bloody Mary, but my two girl friends did and they looked wild and awesome! They stuffed that bad boy with pickles, all sort of olives, bacon, salami, and one of them put a small hamburger on it! I mean what!? I have never seen a Bloody Mary prepared like that in my life! I am not a big fan of Bloody Marys, but these were making me crave one. My friends said it was the best Bloody Mary they have ever had. By the looks of them and the looks of the bar, I have no doubt it was. Now on to the food. Spectacular selection. As soon as I looked at the menu I knew I would be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Some things listed on the menu sounded absolutely fantastic. Some of the ones that popped out to me were the sweet potato hash, lump crab hash, smoked salmon eggs benedict, Mexican scrambler...I mean the list just goes on. It was one of the toughest breakfast decision I have ever made. But I went with the Mexican scrambler and loved it. I am a sucker for Mexican style anything so this plate put me in breakfast heaven. One of my friends went with the breakfast burrito, which was just as good, (I stole a bite). My other friend went with the coconut and almond encrusted French toast which I may have to get when I come back because it was supremely delicious (stole a bite from her too). Not too worry, they both stole bites from mine lol. My total came out to about $14 (I ordered the Mexican Scrambler and an orange juice). My friend's meals came out to about $22 each with their dish and the Bloody Mary. Well worth the price. Lastly, I want to mention how great the staff is. When you walk in you really get a warm welcome and our server was super nice. Very friendly and you can feel that they want you to have a great experience. Full disclosure: I have no connection to this restaurant whatsoever, other than being a regular customer. From the time you are greeted at the door by Bonnie, the friendly hostess, you will have a first-rate dining experience. As a strictly breakfast and lunch place, HK sports a signature Bloody Mary bar with a remarkable variety of add-ons for those inclined to a morning libation. I think you could just about put together a full breakfast, if so inclined. Hard-boiled eggs, bacon, Slim Jims, and a variety of pickled veggies are on offer, in addition to the usual celery stick stirrer. The omelets, scrambles, pancakes, waffles are all first-rate and well prepared. Even the fruit plate gets special attention, with a drizzle of honey along with a selection of nutmeats. The French press coffee is an elevation even over the delicious regular brew. All in all, a wonderful dining experience. A 4 bc I paid for two extra eggs that I never received. The Art omelet was so delicious! I don't even like omelets but ordered it because I wanted something healthy. The veggies were actually fresh. They weren't precooked and soggy. Only issue was the asparagus was very woody and not edible. Not overly salty. Perfectly cooked veggies and eggs. The hash browns might have some sort of chili on them so after tasting one piece I passed. The French toast with crème brûle made my 13 yo almost pass out! They were like how we make them where the center is custard like and NOT dry bread. She ate half and saved the rest for the next day. Her Huevos Rancheros was the first time she had tried something on the spicy side. She loved it and the spice wasn't over the top and she comment that there was a lot of meat!!! Just wish there had been butter for the French toast, that I could have had potatoes without spice and there was an option to pay extra for real maple syrup. Thanks for the great breakfast. This place is great. We were expecting a wait when we got here at 9:30am but we were seated immediately. This was our first time here and our waiter (Sal) took the time to explain the menu and suggested their most popular dishes which was nice. I got the carnitas Hash and my friend got their berry waffle. I also got the flight of mimosas while he got the BYOBM (build your own Bloody Mary). The food came out in a very reasonable time and the portions were consistent with the price. The food was very tasty and the drinks were great. I definitely recommend the flight of mimosas. Even the manager happened to be walking by and noticed I hadn't drank my pineapple mimosa (which was my favorite) and he thought I didn't like it. We had a funny discussion and he even offered a sample of his favorite. It was a very great experience. The only critique would be that the music is a bit loud. Hash Kitchen is killing it! In a good way from what I hear from everyone... it seemed to be a hip place to get breakfast and it certainly had that feel when we came in for a quick brunch. Bloody Mary bar was over the top stocked with everything you could ever want. The food was good, but i was expecting more from my hash... "Hash" kitchen in my mind should produce Epic hash and mine was just fine. Maybe caught them on an off moment. Otherwise food impressed, with interesting flavors from different regions of the world. Service was fine, expectations were not high in this regard as the feel of the place seems to rely more on the energy of the loud music, than on the finesse of exceptional service. However it was friendly and our order was correct, and coffee was full. No complaints. Keep up the good work, looking forward to coming back with a group when I can drink more than coffee... I recently visited Hash Kitchen Gainey Ranch for brunch and my husband tried their Carnitas Hash and I had the Lox Salmon Eggs Benedict. This is the best brunch for 3 reasons! It's food which is amazing in looks and taste. Its ambiance . so cute inside such a cool concept . some paces just have it and this place does. A)nd most of all the bloody Mary bar is what i can only find I my dreams until now!! 40 toppings to build your own. Trust me you need this in your life! U pick your vodka there is like cilantro. Greeted by super friendly staff and immediately seated. Promptly met by our server (Lexi) and beverage orders were taken after a short, but very delightful, explanation of the menu. Upon return of our beverages, Lexi walked us through our breakfast choices and gave all of us great recommendations (avocado toast!!!). After taking our order, we were greeted by the manager, Dominic. Dominic is what is missing in the restaurant industry! He expressed his concern for our visit and to inform him of any issues (none of course). At the end of our fabulous meal we were revisited by Dominic and a very pleasant follow up and thorough examination of our experience. My family and I were in town over memorial weekend for our cousins wedding at the McCormick resort. Around 50 people came into town from WI and one of the families planned to go to panera Saturday morning for some breakfast and saw Hash kitchen next door and thought it looked like a neat place, once they learned about the Bloody Mary bar they knew it was the perfect spot for an awesome brunch. After they told us about it we decided to go to Hash kitchen on Sunday morning- had the Bloody Mary bar, mimosa flight and many awesome meals. But best of all was our waiter, Marco. He was the best server we've ever had ever (and we've been out to eat many many times) thanks Hash kitchen for the great food, atmosphere and service. A weekend trip from Flagstaff to Phoenix in the summer may sound a little crazy, but it let's our two year old hit the splash pads all over town. Our little girl also loves Hash Kitchen. I know, that sounds far fetched. But the only thing she loves more than music and dancing is her daddy. I own a couple restaurants up north, and I know a family with a two year old can be pretty trying on a busy day. Everyone was great taking care of us, but Rachael, one of the managers stood out to us. She went out of her way to make sure our little angel was happy and taken care of. Our family was able to enjoy a Sunday brunch at one of the busiest brunch restaurants in the valley, and our little girl was able to dance all the way through brunch!!! read more

I recently visited Hash Kitchen in Scottsdale, and we had a fantastic brunch experience! The mimosa flight was a highlight - with several sweet and fruity options to choose from. We loved trying the different flavors! For food, we ordered a few hashes to share, and the portion sizes were generous. I opted for the infamous "THE BEST F#*%ING BIRRIA HASH" - and while the birria quesadillas themselves were a bit plain, they paired perfectly with the rest of the hash. The flavors and textures all worked together well. We visited on a busy Sunday morning, so the service was a tad slow which was understandable. I recently moved to this area and was told to try this place out. Worst experience!!!! The elderly lady up front was rude, our wait was uncomfortable, no place to sit while we wait? The food came out 40 minutes after placing our order and the coffee was horrible! I had the brisket hash which came out with hard poached eggs and a thin slice of brisket about 3" long. My wife ordered a frittata which came out bland and burnt with cold and mushy potatoes. Typically I would have sent the food back, however, we were hungry and didn't want to wait any longer to eat. We had such an amazing time at Hash Kitchen! The food was delicious (those build-your-own Bloody Marys are next level), and the vibe was super fun and upbeat. But the real standout of our visit was Laura--she was an absolute gem. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and even brought us a few of the signature hash brown bags (unused, don't worry!) when we mentioned how cute they were. The steak however, was probably the worst I've had. I was not offered any discount even though my meal came out after my company was done eating. I ended up boxing it to go. Probably will not be back.
