Our server walked past us several times without asking if everything was ok or did we need refills, etc. Restaurant was half full & they all seemed in the weeds. Just arrived from the Atlanta area to Phoenix for a short weekend vacation. My stomach was growling and I decided to pull-up Yelp to find a great breakfast spot that was not too far from the airport. I stumbled upon Hash Kitchen and figured why not! Drove to the Arcadia location and was wowed upon entrance. The staff greeted us with a friendly welcome and seated us quickly since there weren't many diners inside. Malysa (Waitress) came to the table with a big and beautiful smile. We were even greeted by Domenic (Manager) who just relocated to the Phoenix area from Massachusetts. This is what really sets this restaurant apart others. Malysa went over the menu with us in detail and provided us with superb recommendations. Domenic gave us great advice on areas to visit while in Phoenix as well. I opted for the Salmon Benedict and my friend chose the Thick-cut Bacon Scrambler. As my star rating suggests, the food was nothing short of amazing! Very flavorful and the portion sizes were huge! I also tried the Hash Capri Sun (Coconut) and my friend tried the Mimosa Flight! Both were excellent and gave us a welcoming buzz ! I reviewed Hash Kitchen 3 years ago, and decided to do another review/update. This is definitely the breakfast place you should go to when you have family/friends in town. It has a definite wow factor to it. The only reason I am taking it down to four stars is because living in the area for a while I prefer going to more standard traditional breakfast places. Hash has a really funny twist to its menu which helps the wow factor. I really prefer just a good old standard eggs bacon and pancakes from a place like butters. I frequent hash kitchen primarily when we have people in town so they can see the bloody Mary bar, have a mimosa flight, DJ playing on weekends, etc... I ordered the carnitas this time. The flavors were tasty, but it needed another egg in it. Kids ordered s'mores pancakes. They look pretty decadent, and of course the kids liked them. read more

Came here with a group of 7. We all enjoyed our food. My favorites were the lemon/blueberry pancakes and the the short rib breakfast burrito. We got mimosas, bloody mary, and the snow cone flight. I recommend passing on the snow cone flight. They're a mess and a challenge to actually eat/drink. Save the $17 and get mimosas or bloody mary. It's a huge restaurant and the blood mary bar was fun - there were lots of toppings, great for Instagram photos! The whole restaurant was really IG-worthy actually. Who doesn't love day drinking and brunch?! Hash kitchen did not disappoint with the music, vibes, drinks, and fun times! Not to be mistaken for hash house in Vegas though. Came here for weekend brunch around 11AM and luckily got seated really quickly. They do not accept reservations but google has some live wait times if you search. The drinks menu is so extensive and there are so many different themed drinks. All seemed very sugary though. They had things like cereal cocktails? Giant cocktails? And the cotton candy/glittery mimosas haha. Which i got a flight of. The drinks were strong but okay in flavor. Mostly fan service IMO since it's all pretty and IG worthy. The food portions are enormous. I got the corned beef hash and it was alright. Not even corned beef but a ton of potatoes. The shrimps and grits were interesting... the grits were not very gritty but more like chunky mashed potato's haha. But still good! The avocado toast was massive and the bacon on it was delicious. Wow this place is like a club inside! It's loud! So now if your in the mood for a quiet lunch, work lunch, first date, or quiet romantic evening out, I'm not quite sure that this place is your jam but let me tell ya, the food and service were amazing! We stopped in last Friday morning for brunch and the place is very cool. They have this giant bloody Mary bar in the front with just about every topping you could think of. It's pretty neat and if I liked Bloodies I would've really enjoyed it, my 2 friends that do love them thought they were great. We had a very sweet and friendly server. She was knowledgeable about the menu and she was quick with the yummy drinks. The place seemed very packed to me but she said it was slow?! I was shocked and this place must be very popular. I'm on some weird margarita kick lately so I ordered 2 is their margs and both were perfect. Food wise, I had the yummiest potato tacos I've ever had! I added the tinga chicken and wow it was the best part. After they add their delicious green sauce, avocado, pico and a fried egg, this dish was really awesome. We found this restaurant on yelp and it was a good choice! There is outdoor seating and indoor seating. The restaurant is huge and has lots of parking. We were told it would be 25 minutes for a table because it was really packed but it was only about 10-15 minutes. The hostess was very friendly and recommended the banana split French toast. Great choice! It was an awesome! It had chocolate, blueberries, strawberries, bananas and mascarpone in a cone. I didn't evened need to use the syrup. Our waitress Lona was awesome!! We were so excited to visit this place on our recent trip to Scottsdale. We ordered for takeout due to COvid and picked up our food to take back to our resort. We had counted the correct amount of containers but they were steamed up and we couldn't see inside. Upon getting to our resort 20 minutes away we realized they had forgot our biscuits and gravy. The food was mediocre, the hash was gross and the frat Tati was hard and lacked flavor. I tried calling and asked for a manager and was disconnected 3x. This place is ridiculous. No response to inquiry on their website and we now have to dispute the charge for resolution. We pre-tipped on $120 order to get crappy food and missing items. Avoid at all costs. Walking in, it was super cute! I love the layout and design. The music was super loud, but once we got settled down we got used to it. Customer service was great! Our waiter was quite friendly, so far so good. I started with an iced vanilla latte because I had to drive afterwards. Unfortunately, the food was LACKLUSTER! I got the Carnitas Hash, which seemed so promising. The pictures look so good. The waiter even recommended it. I just did not capture flavor! The potatoes were kind of soft, I expected much crispier potatoes considering it's a hash. And they were soft as soon as I got the meal, it's not like they got soggy or anything from the toppings. The meat was okay, nothing too special either, even though I expected more based on how the waiter described it. Eggs are just eggs. The only flavor was the crispy onions on top, and the tinyyy amount of sauce. I got bored with my dish and didn't even finish it, even though I could have eaten more with my hunger. I shouldn't have to add a bunch of seasoning and condiments to a dish. Even then, it wasn't amazing. My friend got chilaquiles and those too were lackluster. He enjoyed the chicken tinga meat, but every other part was disappointing. It didn't look very WOW either on the plate. It seems that the appeal of this place is the alcoholic drinks and the DJ music, the food is an afterthought. I'm honestly really disappointed because I wanted to return for drinks, not anymore. If you like cool drinks and music for breakfast, this is your place! If you want a delicious meal with it, go somewhere else. Tasty breakfast fare at Hash Kitchen. In town for a few days, and up very early on East coast time, stopped in at Hash Kitchen. There were only a few tables taken, and we were promptly seated outside. This location is free-standing in outdoor mall. Outside seating is along the side and the back of the building, so you can sit in full sun or in the shade. Our server, Matthew, did great work. He explained the menu, food delivered as ordered and kept our coffee and iced tea full, plus offered a couple of iced teas to go. Thank you! Seems like if you go to Hash Kitchen, you have to try.... The hash! Mine was served in a cast iron skillet atop home fries and topped with a pair of sunny-side up eggs. The hash was good, if unimaginative - diner style with diced corned beef and potatoes, seared to a crisp crust on the griddle. Eggs perfect with plenty of yolk for dipping. Home fries were crispy, but needed some peppers, onions and spices to pump them up. This was good, but for $14 at a place called Hash Kitchen I was expecting something more creative. The chicken tinga was excellent. A fluffy moist fritatta is covered with shredded chicken simmered in tomatoes, chipotle chilis in adobo, and sliced onions. This was garnished with a big slice of avocado, cotija cheese, sour cream and cilantro. With a dash of Tabasco, this is a mouthwatering combination. Food here is good. The tab was $40 with coffee so too expensive for everyday breakfast. Other things to try on the menu.... I'd go back. read more

A group of us planned on going there for a birthday brunch. We showed up on a Monday at 1230. The place was half empty. We waited about 5 minutes at the door until a young high school looking hostess asked "you ready to be seated?" As if we enjoyed going to restaurants to hang out in their doorway. "We have a policy to not sit incomplete parties" "Okay, then we will just order some drinks from the bar" "The bar isn't allowing walk upsl" So, we took our party to another restaurant where the hostess greeted us, sat us, we ordered a round of drinks, and we expect a great meal. Hash is bound to crash. We are done. My advice: if you go to Hash, ALWAYS say your party is all there so you can be seated. We asked the hostess if it could be turned down a notch and she said, "No. We have a DJ and it's our vibe here!" Maybe we just hit this place on an extra loud DJ day??? The other location on Indian School was not like this? I had the egg frittata w zucchini and it was very good as was my virgin Bloody Mary, medium spice level. We tried to place an additional order w the woman who brought our food but she never brought us the ketchup or passed along the extra items to anyone. It did not disappoint. I had the Pork Carnitas hash. It was excellent. Tender pork, chiles, onion straws, homemade potatoe squares, and Green Chile cremara sauce. All served hot in a skillet. Pro tip: You can start your bloody Mary and make it at the bar while you wait for your table to be prepared. By the time I was done making my Bloody Mary today, my table was ready! The Bloody Marys were wonderful. My friend also ordered some cereal milk shooters, which were good as well. The food was as good as you expect for a good brunch place. I ordered a hash, which was good.. and a lot of food, so I have some to bring home. One note: it does get a little loud there because there is a DJ during brunch time.
