Great coffee !! Quick stop but a memorable one. Had a cappuccino and it was smooth, well-balanced, and honestly left me wanting more. The service was friendly and fast, which made the stop even better. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm craving a solid cup of coffee done right.

It's such a cute, happy spot tucked away in the Potrero Hill area. I love how open and airy it feels -- there are a few seats inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The two large roll-up windows give it a fun, garage-style vibe that lets in tons of light. They roast their own coffee beans and when you buy a bag, one coffee of choice is on the house. Coffee was delicious and made perfectly. Non-dairy options of milk - oat & almond. The staff is beyond sweet. The barista who made my coffee was really nice, and we chatted for a bit. There's this beautiful yellow espresso machine that immediately catches your eye -- it just puts a smile on your face! Fresh flowers, great coffee, and such a good vibe overall. I'll definitely be coming back.

Iced Americano with a splash of chocolate ganache. $7. Shown on the indoor/outdoor bar, which is a lovely atmosphere.

Cute café in a sleepier part of Portrero Hill with excellent drinks and friendly service! I tried their iced Americano, which came in a hefty pint glass, and the owner was kind enough to add the chocolate ganache used in the Mocha (I didn't want milk) for a modest $1 up-charge. The drink was $7 in total, which I felt was reasonable given the size and the taste. The coffee itself was earthy and not over-bearing. The vibe of this place is really the star, with a sun-kissed, almost European atmosphere. The interior has lovely finishes that feel high-end and create an open (yet still cozy) feel, and the exterior has a beautiful side patio with ample seating and umbrellas, in addition to tables with umbrellas on the street. I will definitely return when I'm in the neighborhood!

Located in Potrero Hill, this café has their own roastery in South SF, so they use and sell their own beans. Order at the register, find a seat, and pick up your order once it's called. There was a line in the morning, so it took me ~20 minutes to order and receive my coffee. I didn't see any pão de queijo AKA Brazilian cheese bread when I went. After browsing the menu, I ordered a hot Mocha ($7.00): +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Espresso was strong +I removed the lid and noticed a cute heart. I think they should leave the drinks uncapped so customers can appreciate the latte art! +Compostable paper cups -As someone who usually orders drinks w/less sweetness, I'm glad I didn't. In fact, I wish it was a bit sweeter and more of the chocolate came thru. If I closed my eyes, I wouldn't be able to tell that this was a mocha. Side notes: 1.) Indoor bar seating and outdoor seating: There was a covered outdoor patio w/a heater, which is rare for coffee shops. 2.) Restroom available for customers 3.) Walking distance from 22nd Street Caltrain Station *Verdict: I'm glad I finally tried this spot, but considering the price and taste I don't think I'll return.

Great place for coffee / tea and to get some work done. Love the service, friendly staff and shaded spots outside! Free WiFi available.

Ikon is one of those places that just get better and better with each trip. I first went several months ago since it is one of the convenient coffee places in our neighborhood - the espresso drinks were great, but they didn't have much then to offer in regard to food. Fast forward another couple of months, and they not only had amazing coffee, but also one of the best biscuits in the city (try their breakfast sandwich, I dare you). They also offer a variety of other baked good made in house (muffins that are steaming up the pastry case...wow), which I am hoping to continue to go back to try. Their baristas are knowledgeable and generous. They are also very baby friendly, and I have never felt rushed being there when meeting with a friend or getting a small bit of work done. Looking forward to returning soon.

Cool, lively cafe in a quiet neighborhood. The bright yellow against the grey concrete is a nice vibe. Alfajor isn't overly sweet and the latte was smooth and at a nice drinkable temperature. It seems to be a pretty popular spot so can get busy.

Ikon is a cute and cozy coffee shop in the Dogpatch neighborhood. The vibes are more "sit down and chat with friends" or "chill and enjoy the weather" rather than "sit for hours and get work done." The neighborhood is also cute, so great to walk around. I didn't get to try their latte which is what I usually rate a coffee shop by, but I got their hot chocolate (which was good) and iced americano (which was also good). Will come back to try other drinks. The blueberry muffin tastes great, fresh, and homemade.

What a beautiful coffee shop! Lots of outdoor seating too. I loved that this was just a few steps from our airbnb when we visited SF. they have lots of options and everything was delicious. I love a chai latte so of course I ordered the ginger and turmeric chai. Wow!! So flavorful and so delicious. Spicy!! My hubby got the vanilla latte and their vanilla was wild! Sooo good. Better than any vanilla latte I've ever had. Great spot to check out!

Ikon Coffee is one of the most talked about coffee places in SF & I am so glad I finally got to check it out! I got the decaf vanilla latte with almond milk and it was absolutely fantastic. Super fresh & creamy. They also have matcha (it's not really advertised) and chai for my non coffee lovers. Not a lot of place to sit but there are a couple of tables and really easy parking!

First time going to ikon coffee. Depending on the time you go, you may find residential parking. I found a space mid day on a Monday. It was empty when I walked in and honestly that's how I like it lol. The barista was really friendly and attended me immediately. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was really tasty. They have a big wide open window with and seating so you can look to the outside and then just right outside the front doors are a few two person tables to enjoy outdoor seating. Can't wait to go back and try more coffee.

Sublime coffee in San Francisco, some might say ikonic! Had the opportunity to converse with the owner about all things coffee and to learn about his shop, a gem tucked away tastefully and well worth the visit. Ikon will be my coffee spot of choice when occasion has it that I'm near.

A lovely addition to the neighborhood, with classic and creative espresso drinks and amazing selection of baked goods! This place has a cozy interior and plenty of outdoor space to sip, eat and work. The standard espresso based drinks I order (capuccinos, Cortados) have been great here, but I also enjoy their double oat 7, a cappuccino sized oat-based mocha. Recommend!

I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.

We chose this large city location thanks to easy parking and a convenient stop on our drive. It was a beautiful morning, which was easy to enjoy thanks to the high ceilings, big glass windows, and open main door. The first floor has a central counter to order food and drinks; the glass cabinet has a bunch of rotating pastries from a local bakery. They have restrooms and a merchandise area here too. There's an upstairs loft that overlooks the cafe below, also with a test kitchen area and offices across to the front. Indoor seating will be a tiny wait but is worth because the inside is so lovely, more like a Japanese tea room rather than some cafes that lean towards the clean modern usually all white interior look. We got seated at this cute little tea area almost felt like a sushi bar vibe. I was impressed that I could see that they had different water kettles labeled with appropriate temperatures for brewing their matcha. So I ordered for my date and me: matcha latte, matcha pie, and the cookie trio. Matcha latte was good! Nothing too crazy but still really good, I'm more of a hojicha person nowadays but solid drink and beautiful textured milk. The PIE! This is their best dessert and for good reason. Citrusy, but not terribly sweet, rich yet still has the subtle matcha flavor. I could see potential for a fall forward hojicha version of their pie one day. $10 for a slice but worth to share Cookie trio was a good pick too. My favorite was probably the Kinako oatmeal raisin cookie and I think would pair well with any warm drink. Matcha white chocolate cookie was not too bad, I think it benefited a lot from the bit of sea salt on top. The Hojicha chocolate walnut cookie was my second favorite! I don't see many hojicha desserts happening yet in matcha cafes so this cookie was a delight to have and honestly I've gotta try making my own. So warm but not too dominated by the chocolate. I wanna come back because they've got a matcha chestnut cake I wanna try next, just stellar for the desserts
