I've visited here several times and usually had a decent experience with the food and atmosphere. However, my most recent visit was very disappointing. My friend and I ordered the paella and found it lacking. When the staff asked for our feedback, we were honest and told them we didn't enjoy it. Mojitos were amazing, the mango was my favorite! The old-fashioned was classy and delicious. The appetizers were delightful. We had the lamb chops, the empanadas, the grilled shrimp, and the scallops. The lamb chops were tasty and the shrimp was my favorite! Ordered the skirt steak dinner That was very tasty with chimichurri. We started the bar top great atmosphere wasn't too loud... Hate it when it's too loud. The best restaurant for date night. I definitely recommend getting a reservation than just showing up. It's relatively easy to get one if you book In advanced. The cocktails are delicious and strong. They can also make any cocktails into a mocktail (I'm pregnant). It's nice we can keep up with our date nights and have a fancy drink. The food is delicious... probably one of the best in downtown. I had a paella and churros. Churros were good. The paella was 2 out of 5. There was a lot of chorizo and chicken. After I went through the seafood the chorizo almost filled the entire plate. I felt like it wasn't worth it for the price. I have gone to other upscale restaurants where portions have been bigger and I have gotten more seafood. I have also gone to other Cuban restaurants in Florida including one in Miami that is raved by Cubans and this is not it. It doesn't taste authentic to me. There was also a very heavy taste of turmeric/saffron? But very heavy it was not to my liking. I know that under ingredients it said saffron as one ingredient, but it was not well done. The ambiance is good, good music and service. But I went for the food... so it fell short of my expectations when I tried it. My mom didn't like the paella either. Sat brunch so parking can be tough Ambience: fun and friendly Drinks: bottomless mimosas $22 with blood orange wow that was delish! Food: Empanadas: eat them while they are hot! Proper crust. Scallops: cooled perfect and the mash was light Yucca fries: nice and crispy Chilaquiles: loved that it wasn't overly saucy, so the chips stayed crispy. Was light on the chicken imo. But great flavors. Grilled shrimp: we so didn't need this but the drinks kicked in lol. Creamy sauce, which I enjoyed but if I got it again I would see if I can get the sauce on the side cuz I liked the rice without it :) Our server was amazing and made sure we were always topped off with champagne. Early brunch for 4 friends. The weather was a little drab and wet, but as soon as we walked into Havana we were swept away to a tropical paradise. We ordered empanadas as our appetizer, a beer, bloody Mary's and a refreshing tropical beverage. The bloody Mary was very spicy and I was able to take 4 sips and had to donate it to my Hubby. He was very happy to take it off my hands. The Bloody Mary was served with celery, olives and a piece of beef jerky textured candied bacon. We were very surprised with how quickly the food came out and the servings were enormous. I was able to take a few bites of my chicken chilaquiles that was topped with crema, fresh avocado and an over medium egg. I had a huge order to take home and share with my son. He is always happy to finish my leftovers. Our friend D.G. had the Cuban sandwich and said it was probably the best he as had in a long time. The others, D.O. and my Hubs, had the same dish, the Ropa Vieja which came with black beans, rice and a type of roasted plantain. I was stuffed after my serving but dessert couldn't be passed up, so the Churros were ordered. There were enough churros and chocolate sauce to go around. My girls and I went last weekend and it was... aight. Bottomless mojitos: their mojitos are like what Sunny Delight is to Simply Orange Juice. The idea was there but very poorly executed. I had five glasses and as a lightweight, I was disappointedly sober and just bloated. It was delicious juice, at best. They were offering traditional, pear, and papaya. The papaya mojito/juice was delightful! Food: we ordered their chicken chilaquiles (one in red salsa, one in green salsa), ropa vieja & hash, crab croquette benedict, and shared their plantain french toast. The food was decent enough. Nothing was spicy (though indicated on their menu) but our server did offer this habanero salsa that offered some spice but it was still mild. The french toast was a little bit burnt too. Would I come back? Maybe if someone else was paying and they had a better mimosa flavor (not a fan of the blood orange they were offering). I assume you can't really water down a mimosa like they did with the mojitos. Speaking of paying: double-check your receipts before leaving. I accidentally got charged for both our table and another check. They did cancel and credit back the latter when I asked about it but it did kinda irk me. read more

I love going here with my friends. We came here during brunch time (served on the weekends) but you can also order the regular items on the menu during that time. The scallops are juicy and tender that is laid on top of a sweet mash. They also have a shrimp plate that is in the same layout. I'm not much of a seafood person but these are to die for. Tapas are great because you get to try so much and not feel too full! The burger was juicy and saucy--sadly the bottom of my bun was wet but it was probably just the amount of sauce. I also enjoy the empanadas and it is a great sharing plate. Crispy on the outside yet the meat is still very soft and tender. Although it is busy, the wait isn't that bad (depends on the day) but suggest putting a reservation on yelp, it makes it so much easier. I visited Havana on Saturday, 7/15/23, during dinner time. For the appetizer, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was tasty. For the entree, I got the Ropa Vieja. The braised brisket was extremely flavorful and tender. I also enjoyed the Sofrito rice, black beans, and plantains. It was truly a well-composed dish. The service was nice, friendly, and attentive.
