I was waiting for my party to show up for a reservation next door and figured a quick drink would help kill the time. I'm not a big coffee fan, but Korean style coffee shops have a ton of non coffee options available. I saw they had a sparkling strawberry lemonade and asked for one, but they had run out of syrup so I just got the plain sparkling lemonade, basically a French soda. Honestly parking in koreatown is such a hassle so it's awesome finding coffee shops like this one that have a parking lot. I've been to this place a couple of times and love coming here to do work. Cute little spot we stopped by just after lunch at bcd tofu house in the Rodeo Galleria plaza. They serve their affogato with soft serve and it's so yummy! Front counter service was great, there are very nice people working there. The only thing that wasn't so great for me was that the menus were kind of all over the place and was difficult to follow. I think I found one of my favorite cafes in Ktown! Since it is in the Rodeo plaza, they have such a wide space for free parking, which is the biggest plus. The cafe itself isn't that big but there is a good amount of seating. This place is great for studying because it is pretty quiet and Wifi is fast and reliable. They are known for their military latte, which is matcha and espresso, so of course I had to get it. It was a very unique flavor and I actually really enjoyed it. Love their taiyaki or bunggeopang. They have various fillings you can choose from: custard, red bean, nutella, mozzarella, and blueberry cream cheese. They make it fresh, so it is crispy and warm when you get it. So delicious. They also sell frozen ones that you can heat up in the oven. I've been living around the corner from this coffee shop for almost 4 years and this place is very underrated! The treats are pretty good but I usually got lattes, matcha, or other teas. Maybe it was because my expectations were high, but I didn't seem to think it tasted that amazing. I think I would prefer to have a normal green tea latte or just a regular latte. Prices are a bit high but normal for the coffee shops around LA. I would give the drink a 3.5/5. The interior is very clean and nice. Plenty of outlets and seats for studying. However, there is a note on the tablet at the cashier with a notice saying there's a limit 2 hour stay. So, not a great place for studying if you want to stay at a café to grind for longer. It's understandable, but I think two hours is a bit strict. I was looking forward to trying some of the cakes I've seen in the photos on Yelp, but I was disappointed to only find two types of small cakes that didn't really interest me. Overall, this little shop is not too loud and has a pretty chill atmosphere. I would come again to try the other drinks. Edit: don't forget to use the 5% discount on here!! Totally forgot. This place is a perfect study/work spot. They serve delicious high-quality espresso drinks and have a space that's ideal for productivity -- lots of decently sized tables, with bright lighting and power outlets, and fast wifi. One day after a 12hr shift and running on 2-4 hours of sleep as always, I still had to wait for traffic to die down even after eating dinner. I looked up a place for a perk me up and Have Some Coffee was right down the street! Been here a few times and I dig it! Easy, attainable parking lot that's free which is a goldmine in K-town. When you step inside, there is actual space to study and it is not jammed packed with people like me who need to study and charge. But if you are like me then there is one side with individual chairs which has no outlets. The other side with the long wooden bench has outlets every 3-4 feet or so, perfect for studying/working needs. This place is simple, clean, classy and spacious! But there is a sign that says you can only stay here for 2 hours. And if you are a party of two, you MUST share a table. The menu is simple and clean. I have ordered nothing but an ICED MILITARY LATTE... it hits the spot every time. Perks me up with the right amount of smoothness. I also did order a macaroon and it was very, very hard and brittle. But I did share a slice of GREEN TEA CAKE WITH STRAWBERRIES and that was amazing!!! In all, this is a great local pit stop to gas myself up for the journey home in this LA traffic. read more

Our last day in LA we needed to wake up early and get our day started. We walked to this coffee shop that was 5 min away from our apt. We got the mocha cream and army shot all iced. We also got macaroons and the cheesecake. The drinks were well made by the barista. We love green tea matcha and mocha flavors so the drinks were perfect. I saw a lot of posts on insta about this place and as a coffee lover, I wanted to check it out! Came here Saturday afternoon and I had questions about their drinks. The guy at the register was this overweight monk looking dude who had a major chip on his shoulder, impatient, and argumentative. I asked for the ingredients in one of their drinks and I was asking if he could replace the cream with soymilk or coconut milk and he kept interrupting me - I am lactose intolerant and i didn't want the cream. My friend ordered the rose latte. The register guy brought us our drinks and he gave me my friends drink and claimed he gave me the correct drink. The rose latte tasted purely like matcha - not a hint of rose. My ice coconut latte tasted like pure artificial flavors - gross. We also ordered the tiramisu to share. The tiramisu was soooooo dry, that we ended up taking it back. The guy didn't even apologize and just gave me a refund. For 2 drinks and tiramisu it was almost $20. Total waste of money. Very cozy Korean cafe When my friend suggested this would be better than any other Korean cafe in Korea town, I doubted it's true. It's located at the mini mall on Western Ave. and 9th St. in Koreatown, where so many cars and little restaurants and shops jammed in this walled mini mall, I'd avoided to visit this areas. However, this one is cozy with the simple deco, free wifi, free parking, and in particular, warm inside on Winter Season. They brought Korean culture which means on Wintertime every Korean restaurant and cafe inside is as warm as people should peel their coats from their bodies even though it's freezing cold outside. It's like we were in the story of 'Christmas Carol', we could see the family, through the window, gathering around the table with steamy food. Even though now we could see scenes, students working on their computers instead of food, coffee instead of bubbling beers, calm instead of loud, it's a great picture in my mind. As usual in Korea, the staffs never make smile on their faces like the sculptures in Korean History Museum. read more

Cute new-ish cafe located in K-town :) My friend and I came here after dinner to grab dessert. Parking was pretty easy to find. After staring at the menu for a while I finally decided to order the Jorri-Ppong Shake. It's milk ice cream blended and topped with the Korean snack Jorri-Ppong. They're like sweetened rice puffs if you've never had it. I liked how the shake wasn't too sweet and how the Jorri-Ppong added a nice crunch. My friend ordered the Kiwi Italian Soda I think? He said it was good but it was also mostly ice :/ Maybe don't order those... I want to try their Military lAtte next time! It seems to be very popular on Yelp. A solid coffee spot in Ktown, which is rapidly becoming coffee shop central. ATMOSPHERE: I stopped by for the first time after eating at Eight KBBQ next door. I was surprised but happy to find a coffee place that was open so late (10PM every day). The other great thing about this place is the free parking in the huge Rodeo Plaza lot, something that's almost nonexistent in this area. I took my coffee to go, but this would be a very nice place to study or read (again, the free parking is a big factor here). It's fairly spacious and has a good amount of seating. I will say that it's very pricey, even for Ktown. All latte drinks are $5.50, and a few other drinks on the menu are more than that. However, if you factor in the study area and free parking, it kind of balances out. They appear to still be changing the menu fairly often, based on menu pictures and past Yelp reviews. When I was looking back at older menu pictures, I saw around 3 or 4 different variations over the past few months. Not a deal-breaker, but it could get confusing for customers who like to look at the menu ahead of time (like me). DRINKS: They're well-known for their military latte, which is a mix of matcha and espresso, but I opted not to get it because I felt like the matcha would be overpowered. I got an iced rosie latte instead, which had a perfect balance of rose flavor and strong coffee. The rose wasn't artificial tasting at all, which is a big plus. On my next visit, I tried the moxicano latte, which is mocha + cinnamon. Signing up for the FiveStars rewards program gives you $2 off a drink, and I think that $3.50 was a very reasonable price for my drink. It was tasty and not too sweet, but quite small. Overall, I do wish it was cheaper, but Have Some Coffee is a pretty good option for coffee in Ktown. The convenience of not having to stress about parking is enough to bring me back. read more
