It really just felt like an indoor restaurant with windows. I'm not sure if there was another section that I missed, so I'm going based on where I was seated. We stuck to appetizers and drinks. The service at this location is abysmal. My friends and I arrived late afternoon early evening to enjoy some drinks and the atmosphere. We were sat at a table and given menus, yet no one came back to take our orders. The place was not busy either, we were one of the only tables there. The workers were talking to each other laughing and playing around, so rude. I don't understand how any of them are employed in the service industry without serving the customers. The fries were better than the lobster which was chewy as well. We asked for truffle aioli 4 times before it was finally brought once we'd were almost done eating. Chicken wings were also dry and seemed like the had been done for a while. We brought a birthday cake for my daughter and we're told it would be $10 per plate to cut our own cake and eat it here. What's not to love about a rooftop bar in NYC?! Great location and the fact that you can make a reservation is such a plus! When you get there, you'll take a quick elevator ride up to the rooftop. The place itself is decorated really nicely. Waitstaff was attentive and our drinks and food came out pretty quick! The huevos rancheros were delicious. Very flavorful and the salsa had a nice kick to it. The brunch pizza was insane. So crispy and the egg was perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend trying it! We also got an order of the fries (not pictured) which were thin and crispy which were also good, and came with an aioli that I liked more than my friend did. When instructed, we took the took the elevator up to the restaurant. It opens right outside. There's a bar and many tables. The menu was pretty straight forward. I went with the crab cake Benedict and it was fantastic. My dish was better than the avocado toast that my date had. The avo toast comes w two eggs but he asked for an extra so that's why there are 3 in the pic. He ate his food and finished mine! We opted against mimosas but they looked good. I almost had one cocktail but we had plans and needed to eat and run. The gal next to us had the French toast. It was huge. She almost ate the entire dish. I was impressed. A lot of the dishes are picture worthy. I heard the nachos are really good. We met another couple on the elevator who frequent this place on weekends from outside the city. I think that says a lot. My experience of The Haven is that it is essentially a glorified sports bar, a mistake I made in booking what I thought would be an upscale venue. This ended up being fatal to our evening taking in a very expensive Broadway show, as it got things off on the wrong foot; we didn't even order dinner, because nothing seemed appetizing as our table by the bar was so bad. Also, we had to wait 15 or 20 minutes for our reserved table - why? And it took 20 minutes or so to get our cocktail order -- again, why? Appetizers we ordered were adequate, nothing outstanding. Two suited men opened doors for us and we approached the host stand. We checked in and the host called upstairs. He told us to take the elevator up (this experience made it seem exclusive). Once upstairs, we checked in at another host stand. They sat us at a table in the bar/lounge area since we were early. We had drinks and an appetizer (Cielo, Red Sky and Tuna Tartar). All delicious. We did ask about our table several times after 6:15 and finally just after 7pm were seated at regular table for dinner. We had the Havely Chicken and Filet Mignon, both delicious! A friend and I made a reservation for two on a Wednesday evening for dinner! There was a slight delay as we had to wait in the lobby for them to prepare our table, but soon we were taking the elevator to the rooftop. I ordered the lychee martini and we shared the truffle fries, mezze platter, and margherita flatbread. I enjoyed the natural lighting of the rooftop, but unfortunately there were no views of the city besides the surrounding buildings. However, upon entering the hotel that the restaurant was on top of, it had a dark and vibey ambiance that we enjoyed. The truffle fries were yummy but seemed never-ending and we actually weren't able to finish them. The margherita flatbread was delicious and the backbone of the meal. The mezze platter was alright, but ultimately overpriced and I regret ordering it. The pita was not warm and the quinoa was tasteless. The lychee martini was not sweet enough for my taste, and I wish that the lychee was visible in the way that it was presented. Overall, the winning feature of the rooftop is the ambiance (despite the lack of views), but the food and drinks were not impressive and overpriced. read more

The rooftop itself is pretty but the food is mediocre, service is terrible, and everything is extremely overpriced. We got chips and guacamole and tuna tartare and it was $18 and $24. The guacamole was about a two spoonful amount which was not even enough for the chips. The tuna was also not fresh and the portion was not enough for one person. I also got a rum&coke and it came in a small glass but ended up costing $18 which is absolutely ridiculous. The only good part was the happy hour deal that they also only allow at the bar which has very limited seating. The waiter also brought us the check when we didn't ask for it and weren't even finished with the second round of drinks and told us to leave after an hour and half even when we wanted more drinks. And there weren't any parties waiting. I definitely prefer other rooftop bars and will probably never go here again. read more

Once you exit the elevator it's the room directly on the left I believe It wasn't too busy which was nice. The restaurant is really nice inside and has a pretty view. The two reasons I only gave this a 4 star is the lack of variety and the experience I observed when we 1st sat down. The manager Brian was having a conversation on the floor with an employee regarding taking a break.
