Great food, good service, & nicely decorated. Seems like a really small town community where they all somewhat know each other and have fun, which I greatly appreciate being from a small town as well!! I had to ask our server which employee was named "Jennie" I was like this person must be the best, she's mentioned in so many Yelp reviews. Her eyes lit up and said we are doing a competition and whoever is named the most on Yelp for the month wins a prize!! I thought that was so cool, some healthy competition, more reviews on Yelp and promoting of their restaurant. We had a lovely breakfast with a variety of items, so good I forgot to take pictures. My favorite thing was the Fruity Pebbles French toast!! Kids loved their typical American Kids meals breakfast. My husband and I shared a Denver Omelette with Choula! Loved GoodYear and I am sure we will be back to visit again, thank you all!!

Haymaker is so delicious. If I'm in litchfield it's my go to brunch spot. They always seat me right away, which I love, and the restaurant is huge so it never feels cramped. They have both brunch and lunch, and everything I've tried has been solid. The mimosa flight is a must. Make sure you try the huckleberry, it's so yummy. Can't go wrong with a mule tho . For breakfast, the Haymaker Benedict is my go-to. This time I tried the huevos rancheros and it was really tasty. This was also my first time trying the fried zucchini because I always get the pickles. Zucchini's were thicc & juicy! So good. Downside? Somehow someone is always blowing up the bathroom when I'm there but honestly, the food makes up for it. Servers are always good people. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Forgot it was a holiday, so all the mainstream places in the area were packed. Somehow, we got lucky and came at the right time here, as 2 mins later that crowd seemed to also pivot here and the wait jumped from 5 mins to 30 mins. Been here before and knew what to expect. Our server was tenative and they worked together as needed when it came to different table requests as it was busy. Initially, I was craving breakfast with something sweet like pancakes, but then I saw this plate hit another table, and I was sold. I went with the Monterey Chicken Sandwich. It was a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, avocado, & a chipotle aioli that was good. My fries got overcooked, but when I let them know, another order came out immediately. I chalk that one up to them being very busy. In addition, we had the Fruity Pebbles French Toast with a side of sausage links. What made me come before, they also have a full bar, so I managed to get in a cocktail. They also have mimosa flights to indulge in, but I didn't have the time to really enjoy them! Learned they have a few other concept places in the West Valley, so I plan to try out when in the area again.

Go here! I have nothing bad to say about Haymaker. The ambiance is super fun and there is plenty of cushiony seating. Crystal was a fantastic server and brought so much to the experience. The food all looks as good as it tastes. Ribs I do recommend dipping in the extra sauce they give you on the side. I'm not from the area but I will be back next time I'm in AZ.

The service was great and even on a busy Sunday for brunch we didn't have to wait long. Really loved the decor inside and plenty of seating in this huge space. I had the chicken fried steak and house potatoes. We also enjoyed the meat loaf which was out of this world! I recommend ordering one of their cocktails. I'm partial to the Blander's old fashioned and they had a special aged bourbon that hits very nice with that drink. We also had the chicken and waffles and kids pancakes. Over all great spot for some good comfort grub!

Very cool decor. Kind of rustic with lots of wood accents and pillars. Almost like a cabin feel. May I say Yellowstone vibes. Country music playing overhead Bree was our server. She did a great job taking care of us. I had the Huevos Benedicto. A play on eggs Benedict. Poached egg, chorizo avocado slices on an English muffin with a house made chipotle sauce. Delicious. It came with a side of country potatoes but, unfortunately they were cold. As if they had been sitting around. I really enjoyed my Benedicto though. I'll be coming back to try something else I'm sure it will be good. I'll keep you posted. The place is very clean, may I add. Very clean restrooms. With speakers in there to hear the music being played throughout restaurant.

Wow! Probably THE BEST pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. The crispy fried onions were a good touch to perfectly seasoned and cooked pork. Nice, clean, fun and family friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent as well. We will be back.

Is there a gluten free menu?

I have not requested a gluten free menu, but do not think that they have one. No restaurant can be completely gluten free as there is always the possibility of cross contamination since they serve items that are not gluten free as well.

We actually followed the owners here after frequenting their previous coffee shop, En Route. When they opened New Penny, supporting them was an easy decision. The café is thoughtfully divided into two distinct spaces: a family-friendly dining area and a lounge-style bar area geared more toward adults. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are house-made dishes, local merchandise, a shaded patio, and plenty of charm throughout. My wife's favorites are the Breakfast Totchos and the Acai Bowl. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. Being a resident I drop in here about every five years and while consistent in their offerings, it also consistently "meh". We brought our pup and the service from Miguel was attentive and helpful even bringing a bowl of water for our pup. The location and ambiance is quiet and intimate (I suggest sitting outside when it's nice) and is much bugger than it looks. Coffee taste like Folgers and while each plate has a lot of ingredients, it doesn't have a lot of taste. We ordered the Lady Litchfield Omelette and breakfast burrito and while generous in portion the irony of the dishes was interesting. The omelette was chock full of veggies and minimal egg to wrap them, the burrito had a ton of egg and tortilla but minimal ingredients to taste. At the End of the Day I just don't feel like the experience warranted the $16+ price tag per meal. I'll come back in five more years and see if anything has changed.

Now I have the time since I won't be able to eat the rest of my food. I ordered over the phone and was told the food would take 15 minutes. I ordered 5 pieces of the Fish Fry and double fries and my girlfriend got the Hatch Chili Burger and upgraded to Sweet Potato fries for $2+ dollars. I live 2 minutes away down the street. I left 20 minutes after my order was made. When I get there I tell the cashier I have a to-go order and he has me pay. After I finish paying, he walks away without saying a word to me and starts sweeping the floor. I just wait and we make eye contact multiple times and he doesn't say anything. I assumed my food was ready because it had already been 25 minutes since I ordered. I realized maybe it's not ready, my mistake, I sit down in the table near the counter. He's watching me sit down and the literal exact moment I sit down he yells out that my order is ready. And when I get up to go get it, that's when he starts putting it in the bag. He doesn't go to the kitchen or anything so I don't know if my order was just sitting there this whole time and he was just waiting for me to sit down for some reason? I'm in no rush so I don't care its been 35 minutes at this point so I give him the benefit of the doubt still, and move on. Stacks the tartar sauce as he's trying to put everything in the bag and the stack falls over and a sauce falls on the floor. He looks at me and looks at the floor then he looks around the sauce drawer and puts another 3rd sauce which I assumed was another tartar sauce. It ended up being ranch. I wouldn't have cared if he just told me that he was out of tartar sauce but I guess trying to deceive me with ranch is a better option. At this point I would've still given a 4 STAR or even 5 STAR review if the food held up because it's a local business and I don't want some weird bald guy deter people from good food. After my 2 minute drive home we opened our containers that held extremely soggy and half cold sweet potato fries. I ordered double fries with my fish so my pile of fries were double soggy and partly cold too. I ate 2 pieces of Fish Fry and they were alright. I would've ordered them again and I was excited because I had a huge piece of fish fry I was going to have next. However I realized it was 2 pieces of fish fry stuck together causing the stuck sides to be soggy and have semi uncooked breading. The biggest piece I was excited for was the biggest disappointment. The only saving grace was the Hatch Chili Burger. The beef patties were soft and cooked well, unlike the last 3 pieces of fish fry. We spent $40 dollars on the entire thing. And we only ate the burger and 2 fish from the meals. Super convenient location for food that I will be completely avoiding in the future. TLDR: Bad service if bald guy is there. Was told 15 minutes but food took around 30-35 minutes. Let's you guess if your food is ready or not after he has you pay. Waits for you to sit down to tell you it's ready when it was possibly just sitting infront of him. Drops tartar sauce and tries to sneak ranch instead of just telling me that he can't/doesn't wanna replace it. Get home, half of order is soggy&cold. ALL fries including upcharged fries were soggy. Only Hatch Chili Burger was good. SPENT $40 and it was 2 meals that were less than mediocre overall. Normally I can ignore most bad service/attitudes but this dude sucked and doesn't like to communicate with customers. Below are photos of what I thought was a "big piece" of fish fry flipped around and then after I separate the two pieces.

We've spent a lot here over the years and have always supported and recommended this location. That's why my son's recent experience was so disappointing. He stopped in to get some work done, something he's done many times during slow hours. Sometimes he buys something, sometimes he doesn't, and it has never been an issue. This has always been a welcoming place. This time, a staff member told him he couldn't sit and work unless he purchased something. What made it worse was the explanation: a table of eight older gentlemen "didn't like" that he was sitting there working, and that was the reason he needed to leave or buy something. It wasn't busy, it wasn't about space, and it wasn't about a policy. It was simply another group of customers not liking his presence, and the staff acting on that. After years of loyalty, that was incredibly disappointing. If there's a new policy, that's fine, just communicate it clearly and apply it consistently. Asking a long‑time customer to leave because another table "didn't like" them is not acceptable. This experience genuinely made us rethink continuing to support this location.
