Love this place! They have a dedicated gf fryer and dietary restrictions are served on a red plate to avoid confusion. I have a son who has seizures triggered by music. The manager, Mary, sat us in the back, turned off the music to that area and turned down the rest of the restaurant's music. It was so nice to have a family meal out and not worry about seizures. read more

Love the food here! And it's very easy to get to (it's located a stones throw right off the 10). Parking is ample (some in front and on the sides and a whole bunch more in back). Seating is booths, tables and high tops as well as relaxing outdoor seating (bring the pup). We opted for a mix of breakfast and lunch. Everything was fantastic. I had the chicken tender basket and pulled pork sliders. The former was good, but only while hot. The tenders were a little on the thin side and hard and chewy in spots. I've had much better juicy white meat ones in other places. Probably overcooked. However, the pulled pork sliders were amazing! If I had known better I would have gotten two orders of those. To die for!!! I will definitely be back for those again! Yum!!! read more

Me and my husband when to eat for breakfast, the food was good I got the French toast with bacon and my husband got the kinda famous burger. However my server was horrible. My server was Elisha...very rude, snarky, and inpatient. I felt like I was being rushed to order and that she didn't want to me there to serve us. Which I didn't appreciate. Every time i would order she would make me repeat myself. When it came to paying for our meal my husband was kind enough to give a tip due to him feeling pressured. She did NOT say thank or have a good day. She just left. Not to mention she threw my husband card back at him with attitude, very unprofessional. I really hope haymaker mangers don't train or accept this kind of behavior. I'm not sure if we will be coming back due to this horrible service this server provided. read more

Out here on the West Side near Litchfield Park, there are not very many restaurants with such an upbeat atmosphere. The building is very nice inside, reminiscent of a cabin. My wife and I come here pretty frequently mainly for that reason and because there is never a significant wait. The food is pretty good. There are a lot of fried offerings and I do wish that there were more comfort food dishes like meat loaf, etc that aren't fried. BBQ seems to be one of their main offerings although I have not tried it yet. My favorite is the Chicken Fried Steak which is really pretty good. Last night we had the fried Zucchini and Fish & Chips. It was fried food overload but both were good. Our server Emma recommended the Zucchini saying that it is one of their favorites. Emma was friendly and attentive. While I wish the menu were a little more comprehensive, we always enjoy our dinner at the Haymaker. Definitely one of a kind in this area. read more

First time visiting this restaurant in years. We arrive around 2:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Short 5 min wait to be seated, I was surprised at how busy it was. So many choices from appetizers, to burgers, salads BarBQ and several Benedict's to choose from. Definitely something for everyone. Even though I did not try, I could see several tables with Mimosa flights, our server said they were quite popular. All 4 members of our party enjoyed our meals, prices were fair for the value, service was great even with the restaurant being so busy. We definitely recommend for breakfast or brunch and will go back to try barbecue for dinner. read more

Pretty darn good. I have tried a few things off of both their breakfast and lunch menus and have yet to be disappointed. The Haymaker benedict is absolutely amazing, the chicken fried steak is really good, I loved the B.L.A.T. and the fries are so good. The mimosa flight is a must but they have other fun and innovative cocktails as well. Get here early on a Sunday as they do form a line early. Worth the wait and very consistent. read more

Food was okay, wasn't the best I had . The only reason I came here was because of the happy hour. That's what made me come give this place a shot. The Moscow mule was decent, it could of used a little bit more ginger beer. I got the chicken sandwich with the rhythm sauce it was good , I should of got a different side because I picked the salad. The salad was soggy and it wasn't good after I took a bite of it. Just the texture was off. I don't understand how you mess up salad but okay. Then I got the Mac and cheese , I liked that they used cavatappi pasta for the Mac and cheese but it could of used more flavor and maybe some Panko on top. I also got the boneless wings I mean for the price it was okay ,just because of the amount of boneless wings they give. So only things I would recommend is the chicken sandwich and Moscow mule if your looking for a drink under $10 . There is always room for improvement, I'm hoping I can give this place another shot one day . Only thing that really made me disappointed was that we had a lot of food because I was with my friend as well, they never cleaned off the dirty dishes or plates when we was done. Wrong order delivered by Uber Eats due to mixup by Haymakers. Management response was pathetic, offering a $20 gift certificate for an order of $75. Response was offensive and unrealistic with no other options. I would strongly recommend avoiding this establishment. There are so many other options for dining with management that uses common sense. Avoid at all cost. read more

Talk about a pretty sweet happy hour! This place was cool. I felt like I was out in the woods in a cabin! The decor was like the store Cabelas' meets bar. I liked the concept. The young lady hosting was pleasant. We tried a few HH Margaritas! Not bad but definitely on the tart side. Next we ordered a few starters to share. I had to try the Jalapeno poppers! Especially since these are a personal favorite at home. The Angus Beef sliders and Sweet Teriyaki Wings grilled! Grilled Jalapeno Poppers- 6/10 bacon was over cooked but still good flavor and presentation well lets just say it looked like they were just tossed on) Angus Beef Sliders- 6/10 meat was nice grade however it was lacking the sauce that was supposed to be on it and they just were missing a few things to help them out in the dress up department. You literally should add cheese if you like dairy and/or Mayo, lettuce and bacon would help these guys! I did like that there were 3 sliders during HH! Again presentation just missed completely! Sweet Teriyaki Wings- 8/10 These came out looking the best out of the 3 we tried. The sauce was sweet hence the name and the wings were a nice size. I did ask for them to Grill the wings for an additional $!, and they looked like they were barely grilled not alot of char marks or flavor but overall still pretty good considering. Next time I'll just be very specific on how I would like my wings grilled! ( with Char) Johnathan our bartender was great! He took good care of us with a smile. Great Job! Keep up the good work! Came here with my family for dinner and really was disappointed! Service was slow! We couldn't hear the hostess, they need to speak up! Our server was apologizing way too much, slow with drinks, slow with our food and to top it off, a lot of the food was cold. I had breakfast (served all day long) and my hashbrowns tasted like they were cooked in old oil, my eggs were over cooked (scrambled) the gravy, toast and bacon were cold. Ordered the French Dip and subbed a Ceaser side salad. The food came out and the sandwich is small without a bunch of frys next to it. With a small cup of Au Jus, Salad was decent size as you would expect for a side salad. You get some sliced beef with melted cheese on roll for around $15. Subbing the salad added $2. The beef didn't have much flavor without adding salt and the Au Jus was bland too. Biting into the sandwich the meat was chewy and was pulling out the roll with each bite. Shouldn't have to use a knife and fork to eat a sandwich. The bar and restaruant is nice enough with a okay vibe, service okay. I'll probably stay near hear again and give it another try. Just passing through Arizona and decided to have a late dinner. Everywhere else that we went to had an hour wait or more so we decided to come here. So glad we did! The beef brisket was delicious and very juicy Plus the barbecue sauce was on the side, I appreciate that they didn't put it on the meat. Definitely a 10 out of 10. The Arizona Burger was also delicious, the burger was perfectly cooked and everything on it tasted great. 10 out of 10 as well. Alcoholic drinks we ordered a couple of alcoholic beverages which were also great and the restaurant is extremely reasonably priced. I was surprised that they had no wait and they seated us immediately. Definitely would recommend. The food is great, and it came out so quickly, the service staff is very nice and the restaurant decor and Ambiance is so awesome. We will be back in the next time we're in town! read more

The Haymaker in Goodyear is the second restaurant for The Haymaker Restaurant Company. The brand itself started in 2013 in Peoria, Arizona. The Goodyear location opened in late 2014 and has undergone a few facelifts through the years. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff have created a space that feels inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the community. Support local businesses. Better yet, support local businesses that are doing things the right way. Get to know the owners. Get to know the staff. Places like New Penny don't just serve food and coffee--they create gathering places. We did have to wait a little while before our waitress came to our table, but once she greeted us, she answered our questions about the menu. The hostess also offered some great recommendations, which we appreciated. We ordered the Waffletto Sandwich, the Mexican Omelette (which comes with a salad), the Chicken & Waffles, and two flavored lemonades. The Waffletto Sandwich was good, but for the price, I would have liked a little more meat. My recommendation would actually be to order one of their regular breakfast plates, which includes a half Belgian waffle along with eggs, meat, and hash browns. It seems like a better value and gives you more food for your money. My daughter really enjoyed the Mexican omelette and said it was very flavorful. The Chicken & Waffles were also tasty, although I personally would have preferred fewer onion strings on top of the waffle. I also think chicken wings or tenders would pair better with the waffle than the chicken breast that was served. The biggest disappointment was the lemonade pricing. The menu clearly listed the flavored lemonades for $5, but when we received our bill, we were charged $7.50 each. We brought this to our waitress's attention, and she explained that the higher price was due to the flavoring, syrup, and free refills. However, none of that was explained on the menu, nor were we informed about it when ordering. If the menu advertises a drink for $5, customers should either be charged that price or the menu should clearly state any additional charges. Accurate pricing is important, and management should ensure that the menu reflects the correct prices to avoid confusion and disappointment. If the current price is $7.50, the menu should be updated accordingly. Otherwise, customers should be charged the advertised price. Another thing that wasn't communicated was that the flavored lemonades include free refills. We only learned this after questioning our bill. Once we found out, we were able to get refills in to-go cups before leaving, which was a nice bonus. So, if you order one of their lemonades, be sure to ask for a refill or a to-go cup before you leave. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and there were a few dishes we liked. With better communication about menu pricing and drink refills, along with ensuring menu prices are accurate, the overall dining experience would have been much better.

The host stand felt cold and unwelcoming, and the overall energy outside was a little off-putting. To be fair, the hostess was polite when she interacted with us directly, but the first impression was not warm. Once we were seated, Miguel turned the whole experience around. Since we are vegetarian, we have to ask extra questions about sauces, stocks, and hidden meat ingredients. Miguel was extremely helpful with navigating the menu and made sure the items with meat stock were removed or avoided. That kind of care matters a lot. The food was also pretty good. I had the South of the Border Omelette, and my wife had the burrito. Both were solid, and Miguel's service made us feel taken care of instead of like we were being difficult for asking questions. Good food, excellent service from Miguel, and a much better experience once we got past the initial welcome.

Coffee taste like Folgers and while each plate has a lot of ingredients, it doesn't have a lot of taste. We ordered the Lady Litchfield Omelette and breakfast burrito and while generous in portion the irony of the dishes was interesting. The omelette was chock full of veggies and minimal egg to wrap them, the burrito had a ton of egg and tortilla but minimal ingredients to taste. At the End of the Day I just don't feel like the experience warranted the $16+ price tag per meal. I'll come back in five more years and see if anything has changed.

I ordered 5 pieces of the Fish Fry and double fries and my girlfriend got the Hatch Chili Burger and upgraded to Sweet Potato fries for $2+ dollars. I live 2 minutes away down the street. I left 20 minutes after my order was made. When I get there I tell the cashier I have a to-go order and he has me pay. After I finish paying, he walks away without saying a word to me and starts sweeping the floor. I just wait and we make eye contact multiple times and he doesn't say anything. I assumed my food was ready because it had already been 25 minutes since I ordered. I realized maybe it's not ready, my mistake, I sit down in the table near the counter. He's watching me sit down and the literal exact moment I sit down he yells out that my order is ready. And when I get up to go get it, that's when he starts putting it in the bag. He doesn't go to the kitchen or anything so I don't know if my order was just sitting there this whole time and he was just waiting for me to sit down for some reason? I'm in no rush so I don't care its been 35 minutes at this point so I give him the benefit of the doubt still, and move on. Stacks the tartar sauce as he's trying to put everything in the bag and the stack falls over and a sauce falls on the floor. He looks at me and looks at the floor then he looks around the sauce drawer and puts another 3rd sauce which I assumed was another tartar sauce. It ended up being ranch. I wouldn't have cared if he just told me that he was out of tartar sauce but I guess trying to deceive me with ranch is a better option. At this point I would've still given a 4 STAR or even 5 STAR review if the food held up because it's a local business and I don't want some weird bald guy deter people from good food. After my 2 minute drive home we opened our containers that held extremely soggy and half cold sweet potato fries. I ordered double fries with my fish so my pile of fries were double soggy and partly cold too. I ate 2 pieces of Fish Fry and they were alright. I would've ordered them again and I was excited because I had a huge piece of fish fry I was going to have next. However I realized it was 2 pieces of fish fry stuck together causing the stuck sides to be soggy and have semi uncooked breading. The biggest piece I was excited for was the biggest disappointment. The only saving grace was the Hatch Chili Burger. The beef patties were soft and cooked well, unlike the last 3 pieces of fish fry. We spent $40 dollars on the entire thing. And we only ate the burger and 2 fish from the meals. Super convenient location for food that I will be completely avoiding in the future. TLDR: Bad service if bald guy is there. Drops tartar sauce and tries to sneak ranch instead of just telling me that he can't/doesn't wanna replace it. Get home, half of order is soggy&cold. ALL fries including upcharged fries were soggy. Only Hatch Chili Burger was good. SPENT $40 and it was 2 meals that were less than mediocre overall. Normally I can ignore most bad service/attitudes but this dude sucked and doesn't like to communicate with customers. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful -- gorgeous Southwestern architecture and landscaping, spacious accommodations, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. My experience started with an easy check-in and a wonderful surprise -- a complimentary room upgrade! I also had a Tesla that needed charging, and the valet team immediately moved it to the front of the line and took care of it for me. That level of attentiveness continued throughout my entire stay. I loved spending time at the adults-only Oasis Pool, and one of my favorite resort amenities was the golf-cart transportation around the property. Staff will pick you up and take you wherever you'd like to go, which is especially appreciated during the Arizona summer heat! The highlight of my stay was definitely the Summer Sampler at LeMonds Aveda Salon & Spa. It included a wonderful massage and facial, time relaxing by the beautiful spa pool, a delicious fresh salad for lunch, and a wash and style to finish the day. Everyone at the spa was incredibly kind and attentive. Pauline did my hair and was exceptionally sweet -- the perfect ending to such a relaxing day. I also had a great experience at the Wigwam Bar. Amber was a fabulous bartender and server, and Gabriel, the manager, was exceptional. They were happy to accommodate my low-carb request and substitute fresh vegetables for the rice, which was very much appreciated. There are plenty of beautiful resorts, but it's the hospitality that can make a stay truly memorable, and The Wigwam absolutely delivered. We had an Oasis suite and it was spacious and it looked newly renovated. The bathroom had both a tub and a walkin shower and we had a first floor room so we could walk directly to the adult pool. We went swimming every afternoon we were there and other than one person for 10 minutes, we were the only ones swimming. One nice thing is that they provide pool noodles so we could float to our hearts content. From the time we checked in, every person on their staff was helpful and friendly. We found when we checked in that the valets offered a free shuttle throughout the resort. So one night we went to the golf course and took a shuttle there. Since it was 112° it was a great alternative to driving or walking. If we had one quibble, the exterior of the resort, could've used an update. For example, the adult soft water pool surround was cracked in many places. I guess trying to grow grass in Phoenix in the middle of summer is difficult, but it made the common areas look unkempt. But overall, we loved everything else about the resort and would highly recommend staying here.

What made it worse was the explanation: a table of eight older gentlemen "didn't like" that he was sitting there working, and that was the reason he needed to leave or buy something. It wasn't busy, it wasn't about space, and it wasn't about a policy. It was simply another group of customers not liking his presence, and the staff acting on that. After years of loyalty, that was incredibly disappointing. If there's a new policy, that's fine, just communicate it clearly and apply it consistently. Asking a long‑time customer to leave because another table "didn't like" them is not acceptable. This experience genuinely made us rethink continuing to support this location.

Four of us went to the Haymaker Restaurant on Litchfield Rd in Goodyear, AZ for dinner on 5-20-23. Although the place was pretty busy and we didn't have reservations, we were welcomed and seated immediately. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. A good start. My wife ordered the Southwest Fried Chicken, my daughter in law ordered the pulled pork, and my son and I ordered Mama's Meatloaf dinners. My son also ordered the Fish and Chips for us to try. My daughter in law said the pulled pork was delicious, flavorful and cooked perfectly. My wife said her fried chicken dinner was very good but a little dry although not overly so. It's hard to cook chicken that is on the thin side but Haymaker did a pretty good job. My son and I both really liked the meatloaf. Although I thought it was a little on the dry side, it was absolutely delicious. We all tried the fish and chips and I have to say I was impressed. I'm from the Northeast and we eat a lot of seafood. I wasn't expecting much but the fish was perfectly cooked, light and flakey, and not greasy. Then there were the mashed potatoes. Really, really, REALLY good. I wanted to rate 4.5 stars only because the chicken and meatloaf were a tad dry but Yelp doesn't do half stars. Normally when this is the case I would have dropped to 4 stars but went up to 5 stars because of our server. My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant one morning when we were looking for a new place for breakfast!!! And boy was it a great find! We have come now almost once every week and we each try something new...NEVER to be disappointed! The older gentleman that seats the door is very friendly and sincere always thanking us for visiting. The service is deserving of an A+ as we are greeted in a timely manner every time! Angela is usually our waitress and is very sweet and attentive. She even acknowledges my 3 year old nephew and makes him laugh! The coffee is delicious and it even comes served with a small CHILLED creamer cup! The menu is reasonably priced and our food ALWAYS arrives shortly after ordering! The amount of food is enough to sink a ship and we never leave hungry! I strongly recommend the HayMakers Benedict!!! Absolutely delicious! This is one of their signature breakfast plate. Mathew, the manager on duty in the mornings not only expedites food out personally but always can be seen checking on various tables.... This is my second time to this place. The first time we were there on a Saturday before noon and were forced to order breakfast ad they didn't serve lunch until noon. The breakfast was pretty good though I didn't care for the biscuit...too big and VERY dry. Thank god I had gravy with it. The other was normal breakfast items and as I said it wad good. Yesterday we went at 11:45 and were prepared to order breakfast, but low and behold we were there at lunch time. I ordered the chicken fried steak, sister ordered the french dip and Mom ordered the half tuna melt and soup (potato). It really makes me wonder why restaurants buy pre-made food and pass it off as fresh made. The CFS was obviously frozen. How much would it cost to buy fresh and make it there? The veggies were a frozen mix. But the gravy was good. I had to ask for a roll and the waitress said they came in an order of 3 and she would have to charge me. I said Ok and now wish I hadn't. What came out was 3 slider rolls that were taken out of a package and put in a basket. They were not warmed and in fact were stale! The soup was canned as well and needed a lot of seasoning. I went to the Haymaker last night (Saturday night) and it was pretty dead. The atmosphere felt strange, like the staff were staring waiting for us to give them something to do. Maybe it was all in my head... anyway. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer because I've been craving them for WEEKS! They were really good, came out super hot which was great because they were completely fresh. If you like fried pickles, get them! I ordered the BLAT - eh. I wouldn't recommend. Nothing special. The fried tomatoes, while seemingly interesting, didn't add anything. The Texas toast that the sandwich comes on was a really great touch, though. All in all - the food is pretty good and worth the price. The service was standard, no complaints there. My only real complaint was that I ordered the Haymaker Sunrise and it took over 10 minutes plus a reminder for it to get made. I'd understand more if it was busy but the bartender wasn't doing anything and there were probably 5-6 tables including us even in the restaurant. Haymaker in Goodyear used to be wonderful when Manny was the manager. They have a new woman manager.....don't know her name, but she needs to leave before the restaurant is no longer a pleasure to visit. Never have a complete list of food on their menu! When you approach her about it, you are told and I quote "things happen, just shake it off." Never an apology. If you touch her, she looks you square in the eye as she gets right in your face and says "don't ever touch me". This is a manager?!! She really needs to go to customer service training. We have been going there and spending lots of money for a few years. Will not step in there while she is still there! I grew up in this area and will tell everyone I know to not go there as long as there is a woman with dark hair cut in a bob managing. My husband told her to get out of my face and she told him that she knew his address. What the heck! A manager??!!! Everyone else is very competent and helpful. She makes the place a very dark dismal environment. She stands around the corner stalking everyone. Very uncomfortable to be there and will not EVER go back until she is gone!! read more

Living in Pebble Creek there's not many places to go as early as we do and my friends and I loved this place...at first. We used to always see a smiling happy young girl, she gave great service and clearly loved the place, talking up the family and menu like she had been with them her whole life, such passion and spunk really lit up the building! Well, it turns out you have to hope to get HER or the place is so-so. We've been there 3 times with 3 different servers in the past 10 days and couldn't be more disappointed! Service: terrible and antisocial. Overall Ambiance: stiff and unwelcoming. When you frequent a place as often as we do you expect to be remembered! Not to mention our order came out wrong 2 outta 3 times!!! Having 1 great server and the rest so mediocre is NOT the way a business will succeed. When asked, we were snippily told that she is no longer working there,and didn't know where shes working now. I don't see us going back. Unfortunate. My husband and I LOVED the breakfast here so I wanted to write a review that was higher, but after two separate occasions of having bad service I needed to be honest!! On our first visit there was a lady (shaved head) that was virtually non-existent. She seemed to put all of her labor and effort into people she knew. She didn't bring our food and never checked back for refills!! The second time was worse!! I think our waiters name was Michael. He reeked of cigarette's and seemed angry. He was openly rude and we felt like it was an inconvenience to ask him for anything. He absolutely didn't want to be there or take care of us. He was also pretty disheveled looking. I might give Haymaker a third shot (my husband says he's out), but it won't be for a long while!! I understand people have bad days, but a friendly presence and a sense of urgency go a long way and having people that don't want to be at work fronting your business is a bad look. read more

First time trying Haymaker, was recommended to me by family. Had the haymaker sampler which was pretty good. I wish the zuchini and pickles used the same batter as the onion rings so there would be less breading. Also got the wings that came with it tossed in rhythm sauce. That was delicious, bbq and hot sauce mixed together. For entree I got the fish n chips with sweet potato fries. Fish was fried perfectly, tartar sauce was pretty good as well. Sweet potatoe fries were perfectly cooked. The coleslaw that came with it honestly could have been left off. It was bland. My only other complaint is I would have liked a lemon with my fish. Overall Id come back again but this time to try breakfast. Service was great, our waitress Gabby was very attentive and friendly. The manager Mary was even walking around checking on everyone. My family and I have eaten at Haymaker several times, mostly breakfast on weekends. One first walks in to the entry to be greeted with the Pledge of Allegiance printed on the wall with copies of the the Constitution and Bill of Rights framed below. Each visit, the staff is cheery and helpful. Servings are generous and price is not out of line. Coffee comes promptly and there is no "competition" among wait staff - one took our order, another delivered it, yet another came with coffee. (I have had waitresses walk past me with the coffee pot and not even look my way because I was not in "their section") The interior is clean and decorated with obvious signs of patriotism and faith. If that is not for you, please go corporate and boost their shareholders bottom line. This is a family operation and it shows. read more

Haymaker Goodyear! Visiting Haymaker Goodyear was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home with its modern and welcoming ambiance. The decor strikes the perfect balance between contemporary style and cozy comfort. Our server, Jenesiya (I hope I'm spelling that right), was fantastic! Her vibrant energy and professionalism made the experience even better. She made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our meal. And the food--wow! I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and let me tell you, it was incredible. One bite had me doing my happy dance! Every element was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Been here a few times. Good breakfast. Pretty damn decent service and stuff comes out pretty quick like. But the last time I come in we get neglected like I ain't ever been neglected before (the two stars is for the food). I won't name names online but the lady was bald FYI. Lady comes by, isn't friendly, no time for chit chat, takes our food and drink order (because by the time she came we was ready for both) and then we never see her again. I mean I see her around yeah, but she never comes by to check in, say hi, ask how the food is, what's the score, you know? She talks to like two tables and seems to have no interest in anyone she doesn't know. Seen that behavior before, it ain't ever good. I'll be back, but I ain't in any rush. read more

Food was amazing. Service was even better. Manager Mary D. was hands down one of the best waitresses I've ever had. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She stayed on top of everything without ever being intrusive, made great recommendations, and always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. It's rare to find someone who truly cares about providing excellent service, but Mary goes above and beyond. She made our entire dining experience enjoyable and memorable. I've been here for brunch and dinner and both times I was satisfied with my service and my food. Brunch was a nice change of pace with my friends and the food and mimosas were really good! It was a little expensive for what we got but I would still return for brunch again! I just came here with my fiancé over the weekend and we had a couple drinks and ordered dinner and the food again didn't disappoint. The only negative impact was the first time my fiancé's burger came out it was pretty undercooked and it had to be sent back. My chicken was good and the fries were a definite win. My wife and I took our four grandchildren for lunch and had an outstanding dining experience. From the greeting from the host to our server we were made to feel very welcome. The menu has plenty of variety and the kids had no problem finding what they liked on the children's menu. Our server Kristy was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks and salad were brought out very fast with the meal not too far behind. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the "Bandit" which is an open faced chili burger. The chili is fantastic! Been here twice now. Thier sausage gravy is amazing and the chicken fried steak is HUGE!! The best part for for us has got to be the service though. If its your first time be sure to ask for Lexie. Fast, friendly,and it seems like every table in the room knows her name when she checks on them. Plus, shes nice to look at! The wait isnt too long and theres plenty of tvs on sports. Still searching for that perfect burger in town. This isn't it, but it's up there somewhere near the top. Good selection though, and looking forward to trying some of the stuff on the menu, in particular the pastrami sandwich and breakfast burger caught my eye, but had to start with the classics. Speaking of breakfast, this place looks like a great place for breakfast, will be trying it soon, especially when they have breakfast available anytime. Finally! Was very hesitant about coming in here due to the back and forth review's everyone had. Though I have been here a couple times now, I truly enjoy this place. The breakfast is hands down amazing. The place is quite and nice. The service is a hit or miss sometimes I've taken family and friends here and there will be times that is beyond amazing and attentive and others when its half ass.. We ordered the Haymaker sampler and it was delicious. The rhythm sauce (spicy bbq) was great on the wings. Everything was hot and fresh and fried really nicely. The B.L.A.T was well made though I should have asked for light mayo. For drinks I tried the Kurvball Bloody Mary which was a delightful experience. A Bloody Mary made with BBQ Whiskey! Gabby was an amazing server who answered all our questions since it was out first time here. Even Mary the manager checked in on us to see how we were doing. Great customer service. Mary was a great server! She was super friendly, checked on us often, and made sure we always had what we needed. She recommended the French toast and I'm so glad she did because it was honestly one of the best things we ordered. Manager Mary was also out on the floor checking on tables, helping seat people, and making sure everything was running smoothly. The place was only about 30% filled so we sat right away. The server was nice, friendly. We arrived during happy hour so got a slight discount on the drinks. So we ordered some buffalo wings. As you can see from the pic we ate them all. They were just OK. No crisp to them and hardly any sauce. Then the food came and oh boy, what a mistake our dinner decision was. My wife got the AZ Burger which tasted like rubber. The fries were strange also, like they were microwaved, cold. She barely ate 1/4 of the burger. Took it home and the kids didn't even eat it. Then to top it off, the dogs turned it down. For my plate I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. Looked good but zero flavor. I loaded it up with salt and pepper and I ended up eating it all. Then I find out the total bill was just about ninety bucks!!!! Holy smokes. One other time I want to the Litchfield park location for breakfast and it was good. But this location, for dinner, never again. Hopefully they just had an off night.

It was a little odd because for most of the first 10 minutes there was no one behind the bar and the place already seemed understaffed. When our friends arrived one of their drinks came out quickly but the sweet tea was forgotten and had to be reminded after we were asked if we were ready to order food. Once we ordered, the food took around 40 minutes to arrive even though the restaurant was only about half full. We also noticed a few tables that came in after us getting their food first. That can happen, so it was not a huge deal, but it definitely stood out. The biggest issues came when the food arrived. Our friends' meals were good, but instead of the spinach con queso we ordered we were brought the spicy bean dip. By the time the correct appetizer finally came out about 10 minutes later we had already started eating our chimichangas. The spinach con queso was extremely runny, had almost no flavor, and honestly was not edible. We asked to have it removed from the bill and our server was very kind about it. I do want to say that this was not a bad experience because of the server. She was friendly and did her best. It really felt like the restaurant was understaffed and set up to struggle. We actually frequent the Glendale location and absolutely love it. The staff there is always welcoming, the food is consistently fresh and packed with flavor, and the whole place has a warm, authentic atmosphere. While the Goodyear location is definitely newer and has nicer accommodations, it feels much more corporate and seems to be missing some of the culture and charm that makes the Glendale location so enjoyable. Overall it was not a terrible meal, but it also was not one that left us wanting to come back to this location.

Today, our breakfasts are experienced at places like "Over Easy," "First Watch," "Village Inn," and "Denny's." It's industrial breakfast. The old-fashioned, mom-and-pop diners are as rare as a hen's tooth. But not in Buckeye, Arizona. The Heritage is a welcome return to the great, neighborhood breakfast counters of old. It's privately owned and the owner, Kevin, greets you and stops by your table. "That's great," you say. But what about the food? And that's where The Heritage makes its name. Let's start with the homemade, pillowy sourdough English muffins. Most places use some industrial-food English muffin preserved with disgusting ingredients like L-Cysteine. These aren't those. These are like your grandma made. They're soft, yeasty circles of beauty with just enough sourdough taste to send your tastebuds into bread heaven. They're a far cry from your basic English muffin. On to the eggs. Most breakfast restaurants use liquid eggs from the restaurant supply. They come in big bags, bereft of nutritious value and flavor, but full of preservatives. Not these. The Heritage uses fresh eggs and they've perfected how to make them fluffy, buttery, and perfectly-cooked. No brown spots or runny middles. It's egg perfection. The sausage is really different. These are not your usual Sysco or Shamrock greasy pucks. They're thin and fresh and meaty and just slightly spicy (not hot just slightly herby). They're a subtle flavor surprise. And fork tender. The potatoes are little cubes of rich goodness. Cooked just right and golden brown. They're excellent. To finish off the breakfast, Heritage serves a luscious Carmel pecan roll with a vanilla glaze. I liked it but it was slightly dry if I want to be ridiculously nit-picky. But most people wouldn't even notice. All of it is served by some smiling young women who were working hard and answering lots of questions. The entire service experience was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. On a Saturday morning the place was PACKED so service was slightly slow. Though nothing like a crazy morning at Over-Easy or First Watch. What an amazing and pleasant surprise this little restaurant is. Their breakfast burrito looked excellent and everybody around us was raving about it. I'll try that next. The menu is small but efficient and contains some little gems. Give the cinnamon roll a try too! This is an absolute must for breakfast or brunch. And I hear the owner is thinking about offering dinner in the near future. A needed find in a historic building in old downtown Buckeye. A new favorite.

If I had to rate it, I'd say 7/10. The fries were just cooked enough and almost had a hint of being undercooked. The burger itself was pretty tasty, but if the bun was a little softer, I would've given it a solid 9/10. Still, their breakfast is always delicious, and that's usually what keeps us coming back.
