Been here twice now. Service was great both times. The food delivery was slightly slower the second time but the food was excellent. First time we had salads. The BBQ chicken salad and the Steak salad.....both great. The second time my daughter had the Texan Burger and the soup of the day which was the loaded baked potato soup which was not too salty like so many others she had tried in the past. She really liked it and it had a lot of flavor. My wife had the BLAT sandwich which she said was good and interesting but she wouldn't rave about it. I had the piggy wings with orange marmalade. It was excellent and it was perfect blend of flavors; the meat was tender; and went really well with the Devils Ale. Overall we like the place! We will be back! . read more

We stopped here for dinner tonight and we waited for several minutes before we were greeted. The customer service was piss poor all the way around. The food was below average and the pancakes so tough we would have needed a knife. Unfortunately, we were not provided proper cutlery and again the service was so poor, we were done w our meal before we were attended to. It was the second time we ate here and the last. We are moving out of state and I don't know when we will be back- so I wanted to leave a departing review. The boyfriend turned in to the husband and this became our usual date night spot. We came here 2-3x a month for a year and a half. Nobody ever got to know us by name... but over that time we enjoyed a variety of their foods. The BLAT is probably my favorite dish... and their Mac & Cheese is good. I like their Fried Pickles, but wish they were chips instead of spears. I did request that they cut them in to pieces once and they happily obliged. I will miss the Iced Mocha as well. It was my special treat this past year since I was pregnant and then nursing and couldn't enjoy a beer. Other foods I've enjoyed- BBQ salad Buffalo chicken sandwich Hamburgers French fries French dip Tomato bisque & adult grilled cheese My husband said he really recommends the ribs and macaroni & cheese. We never dined here for breakfast but the menu always looked good. This place is good for brunch or a casual meal. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed. I haven't made it past the breakfast menu yet, but so far everything is very good. They also have an excellent selection of whiskey, if you're into that sort of thing. read more

My friend has been raving about how much she loves the haymaker, so I finally decided to give it a try since I live fairly close. The hostess was very sweet and friendly! She came over to refill my coffee a few times which I appreciated because my waitress was fairly busy with the bigger group tables. I asked the host if she had tried any of the omelettes before and she recommended the California omelette. So that's what I ordered and oh my goodness, it was to die for!!! Sooo tasty and filling! Plus, the food came out quick so I didn't have to wait long at all and that's always a good thing when you're hungry. On my way out, I asked the host what her name was because I wanted to give her some credit towards my great experience at the haymaker and she said her name is Perry. My waitress was wonderful as well and I wish I could remember her name, but I will DEFINITELY be coming back! Great food, great service; ya can't beat it! read more

Our family of four had dinner here this Saturday evening, and we brought our appetites! My husband got the meatloaf, I got the Cardiologist burger, and both of my little ones got breakfast. My burger was amazing, and my husband said that the meatloaf was the best he has ever had! My 6 year old picky eater asked for a second plate of french toast and turkey sausage, but settled for an ice cream sundae instead. We will definitely be back! Oh, and we got there just after 630p, and we were seated immediately. That was a bonus since we had two hungry kiddos. Alex was our server and he did a fantastic job. My wife, my friends and I visited Haymaker on Saturday evening after reading a bunch of good reviews. We were excited to check it out and partake in the Georgia Peach drink that all these reviews spoke so highly about. We walked in and it wasn't very busy, but it wasn't quite slow either. It was a smaller establishment with a pretty cool aesthetic and a pretty relaxed atmosphere. But after walking in is when the issues began. It took a full ten minutes for anyone to even acknowledge the four of us standing by the door. When the hostess finally decided to acknowledge us, we were seated at a booth, almost immediately. Ok, so everybody has off days... no big deal. But the. We waited, and waited and finally got menus placed in front us by a young man who seemed less than confident in his abilities. He introduced himself and said he'd be our server and started to walk away. I stopped him and asked if we could place our drink orders. He turned and took our orders. The drinks came out fairly quickly. Then he disappeared for another 15 minutes or so. Once he came back, we placed our orders. To keep it short, my wife's salad was incorrect... twice. My friends burger was incorrect. My plate was forgotten until I asked about it, roughly three to five minutes after everyone else's corrected food was delivered. The drinks were great, so I don't want to take away from that. By the time I got my chicken fried steak meal, it wasn't warm at all. It was like it was left on a counter, but I was hungry so I ate it anyhow. Now, we had mentioned far in advance that this was a split check; myself and my wife / my friend and his. Somehow, the checks got SO messed up that it made no sense at all. It wasn't like one item was misplaced or even two. It was just all over the dang place! So my wife and I decided to pay both bills and just figure it out and have our friends Venmo us their share later. For my first and most likely last experience with Haymaker, I was far less than impressed. It took way too long to be seated for a place with numerous open seats, it took way too long to be acknowledged at our table and brought menus, it seemed like nobody way paying any attention to the details of our orders (which weren't even customized, it took way too long to receive some of our food and the attention to who ordered what was clearly not prioritized. Had my food been hot, I may have enjoyed that quite a bit too. I certainly hope this isn't the norm for this place. We live out in San Tan Valley and only visit the area at our time share once a year. This years dinner outing was rough. read more

This by far is my favorite breakfast place in Glendale/Peoria and not just because they have gluten free toast! The food is very good and the service is very friendly. As with any other restaurant if they're busy service can slow down a little, but they are usually pretty on top of it!
