One of the most fun aspects of relocating is nearly every single restaurant being completely new to you. As a foodie, this is a dream. My sister and law and I came to Haywire for HH last Friday. She snagged us seats on the rooftop. I love how the various different floors and spaces all provide a different experience. We both had bourbon smashes, delish and refreshing for a very warm afternoon. We shared the queso and gulf ceviche. Both dishes were perfect pairings with our drinks. I love the chips! We could have easily gone for round 2 but I had an early flight and wanted to tread lightly ;) to keep well hydrated for the weekend. I'll definitely be back to enjoy HH and the full restaurant service. I've always loved a nice cigar and was happy to spot their cabinet on my way out. Most definitely enjoying one on my next visit. We came by Haywire around 5 pm on a Friday and easily found seats at the bar. The bartender's station wasn't fully set up and he had to run back to the service station to get ingredients for our cocktails. He seemed a little unprepared and more interested in changing the channels on the TVs than attending to guests at the bar. In his defense, there were only about 5 of us at the bar at the time, but it did take some effort to get his attention. Happy Hour runs from 2 pm to 6 pm Monday-Friday and includes items like sliders and elk tacos. I opted for a Cesar salad with chicken. The dressing on the salad was not evenly tossed so some lettuce had very little dressing and some was drenched. It wasn't a big deal. I just ended up mixing it up more. But I didn't realize it at first since it was a little dark in the bar and that first bite of mostly dressing was a bit of a surprise. However, it tasted good. The second floor was where everyone was seated during our visit. It gets pretty loud. There is an elevator to get upstairs if mobility is an issue. The outside balcony has seating for large groups, families, and those hoping to listen to the music on the adjacent stage. I ordered the RedFish plate with a side of Cajun cream corn. The fish came topped with lump crab meat and shrimp which was very rich and tasty. Great comfort food feel here. The food came out very fresh/hot and the wait was not too long. They also have a reasonable selection of cocktails. Our waiter Reed was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was great for dinner and it was very busy so I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. They are available on OpenTable which is very convenient. I finally made it to Haywire in Plano and wow... what an incredible night. The second you step inside, the stunning ambiance and effortless Texas-chic vibe hit you. Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The location is ideal too -- easy to get to and surrounded by that lively Shops at Legacy energy without any of the chaos. But the food? Next level. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. Solid American brunch spot with a nice and lively atmosphere; perfect for a casual hangout with friends or family on the weekend! The bulk of their tables are on the second floor which was much bigger than I was expecting, and I liked that all the tables aren't squished up against one another. When we visited on a Sunday, there were a good number of people inside but it didn't feel cramped at all. I ordered the chicken & waffle and my fiance got the chicken fried chicken & egg biscuit, plus we shared a pecan pie for dessert at the end. Both of our meals were very tasty and I really enjoyed the sweet & savory combo of flavors for my chicken & waffle! We left the Louis Vuitton store right across the street and saw Haywire, thought that might be a nice place to have a dinner. Destiny the server did not bring napkins, plates or silverware. Table was all wet from the sweat from our drinks and nothing to eat our appetizers with. I had to go to the Next table to grab the plates and silverware . Not a great experience, especially on Father's Day. We were really looking forward to the steak, but left after the appetizer. Had a business lunch here on a random weekday. Food was really good and service was outstanding. I wanted something light and not too heavy and the fish dish was just right. Filling but not one where you leave feeling gross. Our server was plenty attentive and made sure our drinks were filled and made sure our customers requests were taken care of. Met up with a few friends here as we were in the mood for a killer steak and the Steakyard did not disappoint!! Our friends ordered a charcuterie board as they waited for us and it was soooo delicious full of local jams, berries, and even honey! The meat slices and cheeses were also so so fresh and delicious, I think I could have eaten that board as my meal and would have been happy as a clam! I was really hoping they sold the jam but unfortunately not, or at least that I could see. For our entrees we ended up ordering this off-the-menu meat board that had all of the different cuts from the menu, a dozen shrimp, and our choice of four sides. We had everything cooked medium rare and it came out absolutely perfect!! There was tomahawk steak, tenderloin, ribeye I think and sirloin? Honestly you can't go wrong - we also got the carrots, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and green beans for sides. There were four grown adults eating this and we still had 2-3 slices of steak leftover! It was so amazing but we left super stuffed, for all of that plus drinks, it came out to roughly $100/person with tip and it was worth every penny! Our server was great, kept our drinks coming, and even though we were on the second floor, the restaurant was HUGE and super spacious for being in such a bustling area. Had brunch at Haywire in Frisco this weekend, and honestly... it just felt good. From the second we walked in, the place has this warm, easy energy--nothing stuffy, nothing forced. It's got that Texas feel to it, but cleaned up a bit. Comfortable, but still a little polished. The food was really solid across the board. You know how brunch can sometimes just be... fine? This wasn't that. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about it. Good seasoning, cooked right, and just enough creativity without overdoing it. It still felt like brunch, just done properly. Drinks were great too. Not over-the-top, just well-made and easy to enjoy. Definitely the kind of place where one turns into two without much convincing. Service was smooth--friendly, attentive, but relaxed. Nobody hovering, nobody rushing you out. Just a good flow to the whole meal. We ended up sitting there longer than we planned, just hanging out and enjoying it, which probably says the most. If you're in Frisco and want a brunch spot that actually feels worth going to, Haywire's a safe bet. read more

Highly recommended by coworkers, we dined here while in town for a business trip and this was my favorite meal of the week. It will started with a lovely experience at the downstairs bar, and the experience continued upstairs where we dined and continued to drink fine cocktails. The ambiance is so cool. The restaurant is incredibly large with multiple dining spaces, and the decor feels very rustic. Think ranch, old library vibes. The outdoor space overlooks a grassy area with a stage, so while there was no entertainment while we were there, I could imagine having mimosas on a Sunday morning while jamming to some good ol' country music. The food is phenomenal. My favorite was the crab dip but to be fair...we had been eating steaks and ribs all week, so while I am sure the ribs and steaks here were great, I really needed something different. That's not to say that I didn't order ribs because I did, but the crab dip was just more memorable to me. Lol. I do also remember that the Mac n cheese was my favorite of the week. Portions are huge so my recommendation is to get a few things for the table and pass it all around so everyone can try a little bit of something. Our waiter was just the right amount of attentive. Haywire has been consistent with their drinks and dishes. I've been here quite a few times for business meetings but our family decided to try it out for weekend Brunch. We loved the outdoor seating and the weather was really nice. Service was great! Our server gave great recommendations and all of our dishes did not disappoint. I was particularly pleased with the taste of the waffle, it had a lot of flavor, perfectly sweet but not too much and the texture was great, a bit of crunch but soft on the inside. Both the food and the service in this place are top notch! Came here for a quick lunch with some co-workers and we sat and enjoyed bonding over delicious food for 3 hours! There was not a bad item on the table - our groups had the sampler app and everything came with a dip sauce and was appropriately seasoned! We enjoyed cocktails and had the steak, fish, and chili with plenty of sides - asparagus, broccoli, Mac and cheese, and my favorite side the cornbread! The dessert we share a slice of pecan pie and it was the best way to top off our meal. We were all stuffed and happy - only regret was we had to go back to work after this meal Chris was our server and he was awesome! Referred to us by name the entire meal - checked in on us at the appropriate times - and was a pro at selling the items on the menu! His recommendations were spot on and he was so friendly. I have been hearing I needed to try this location after an awful experience at the location in uptown. It took me a few years but finally made it., starting off the ambience and decor is absolutely beautiful., when you go upstairs, you get to see all of the different areas of cooking. The service was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress kept our drinks full and our food came out fresh and fast. I really appreciate that. This restaurant is farm to table. They're getting four stars for Tanner at the host stand. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. But the food.... Haywire has been my favorite restaurant for years and on Mother's Day it was like they shrunk every portion! Every one chicken fried steak was the HALF tithe size of it compared to every year past. My husband ordered a 12 oz ribeye and it might've well been a 6 oz - it was the smallest I've ever seen. We might've well have went to Texas Roadhouse which is disheartening considering how many years I have loved this restaurant. Do better Haywire! This is so disappointing! read more

This used to be our go-to restaurant when living in DFW. On a recent work trip to Dallas (8/11/2025), I had to stop in for some of my favorites - the meatloaf and the elk tacos. As always, the food was great! Only complaint was the service was extremely slow. Our server was Roberto. While he was kind, he seemed to lack awareness around time, refills of drinks, and food ordering. Dinner took almost 2 hours, which has never been the case before. Maybe this is the new normal? Would still recommend, but if in a hurry, you may want to tell the server so you can receive prompt service. read more

Amazing service. So good I cannot recall our waiters name but he just started working there and he gave the most amazing recommendations. I'm not a big red meat eater,nor do I know how to order a steak. I met up with one of my girlfriends to catch up and we decided in the Cowgirl Dinner that we saw online. When I say it was the perfect amount of protein, carb and salad ratio and a cocktail for $30. You cannot beat that. Now we may have gotten started late , but the staff was more than accommodating as we toured the facility while they were closing. I will def come back for drinks and to try more of their food items. I came here for lunch with a client and it was my 2nd time here. They have a lot of space and we were seated upstairs in a booth. The server made recommendations, was friendly and prompt which was great considering I had a flight to catch after. I ended up getting chicken fried steak which was a bit portion and good. I've been to Haywire twice now and both times I've gotten lucky and found a table in the bar area. It's always busy so I would recommend making a reservation. It's a really nice-looking, well-decorated restaurant. They have a large menu with a variety of food and beverage options. We started with the charcuterie board which was huge! There was a nice selection. I had the 6 oz filet. So many restaurants are doing 8, 10 or 12 so it was nice to have that size available. It was cooked perfectly to request. I had a side of Brussels sprouts which was also huge. But good flavors. Paired it up with some Zinfandel and it was a nice meal. read more

We came here for our anniversary dinner and just loved it! Such a fun ambiance...posh, but cozy and comfortable. Our waiter was personable, friendly, and attentive without being awkward or in your face. My husband got an old fashioned that was so rich in flavor. I was limited to the non alcoholic options, but the mojito one was really fun! The chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy was so good! The gravy makes it so unique. The ribs, Mac n cheese and cornbread was also eaten all up! And we finished it with an amazing bread pudding. We just had a great time and can't wait to come back! I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Haywire. Shortly after eating there, I developed severe stomach pain, nausea, and other symptoms consistent with food poisoning. The symptoms were intense enough that I had to seek medical attention. What's most frustrating is that this completely ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable outing. Food safety should be a top priority at any restaurant, especially one that presents itself as upscale. Whether it was improper food handling, storage, or preparation, something clearly went wrong. I strongly recommend that management review their food safety procedures and quality control standards. No guest should have to go through this after dining out. Very disappointed and hoping they take this seriously so it doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

So, it was our third month of our newborn being born, and my wife's first time to be here. Her words exactly were "we should have come her sooner last year". Anyway, We had a reservation, seating was quick and we had no issues there. The atmosphere was loud enough for white noise for our newborn to actually sleep. Our service was great. I believe his name is colt(en). He was attentive and fantastic. Hannah had to avoid dairy, and he had everything taken care of there. Very happy and impressed there. I had an old fashion, well two. The other had four thorns in it. Either one was fantastic. Plus the ice cube has HW in it. I thought that was cool. We had the pork belly bites and as app. Delicious, and just like some of the other reviews. This is gourmet food, not large portion food. You enjoy each bite. My wife had the ribeye, which I'm not a big meat person. However, holy frick, their ribeye is cooked really well. The brocolini was pretty good too. I had the texas Redfish with crab and potatoes. Delicious sauce and the potatoes were amazing too. I was a big fan of it all. The cook on the fish was spot on. Finally, the chocolate cake so amazing.
