Just okay. We ordered crab cheese wontons, egg roll, fried shrimp appetizer, egg drop soup, chicken fried rice and sesame chicken. When we got our order home, we discovered that they forgot our crab cheese wontons (big strike against them, but I'll accept some credit as well for not thoroughly checking the box to ensure they'd completed the order). Overall the food was bland and flavorless; shocking for Chinese food, right?!?!? The soup was simply disappointing. The sesame chicken was more hard & crusty breading than actual chicken. The fried rice was undercooked. We tried adding soy sauce, but it got to the point where I simply couldn't add any more black salty liquid to try to help the flavors of this food. There are enough Chinese restaurants in Broomfield and the surrounding areas that we don't need to return here....and won't. read more

Have eaten there for lunch twice - you get a huge amount of food for a $7.20 total (if you opt for only water). However, both times my afternoons were quote gastrointestinally uncomfortable. After they failed to deliver an order, I called them up to see what was going on. I was immediately assured that it was on the way. When I called them back a half hour later, I was assured it was on the way before I even gave my address. I attempted about five times to give my address, speaking slower each time but was interrupted each time with a random address. Finally I gave up and contacted grubhub for a refund. read more

For a Chinese-American restaurant, Heaven Dragon is on top of their game. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and I've felt that the quality of the food has remained the same. It's a Broomfield staple for me. I've dined in and ordered delivery from here as well--never had any issues with service. A few good things about the business before the food review. I've eaten inside twice both nice & clean and not to busy. I usually pick up my order and only one time I was missing a piece of my order. I called back and was offered to come back to get it if I wanted plus my next order they would give it to me at not cost! (Awesome) So since I was new to the area and my friend is a picky eater recommend this place I thought I couldn't go wrong. He was on point- I had a few different dishes only because I couldn't decide. Chicken Lomein- Kung pow chicken - pork fried rice just for me. This was a lot I guess for just me but I was happy to take it home and eat the next day as a reward after my workout. This was disappointing. We frequently go to heaven dragon in Arvada where there is almost always a line out the door but here in broomfield there was only three table occupied. Here's the run down, service mediocre, everywhere you look the place is dirty-walls doors floors table dishes. Debris was even piled up under the salt and pepper shaker. Gross. Strangely the water tasted bad and the sesame shrimp tasted like it was in the freezer too long. Too bad, I guess it won't be here much longer. read more

I grew up in Thornton and this Chinese retaurant Is one of the only reasons I will go back to Thornton. All I have to say is Double Delight! sesame shrimp and sesame shrimp in one mouth watering dish. If I was on death row my last meal would be DOUBLE DELIGHT! A great restaurant usually has a stand alone building but Heaven Dragon is in an old strip mall off 120th and Colorado. The poo poo platter is awesome too! Great tasty apps before your meal. Old G W Bush himself has enjoyed take-out from this highly decorated republican establishment. When my folks come into town from Steamboat this is one of the few places we eat. we were visiting from Chicago and found out about this place via yelp. coming back from Denver on a snowy evening we were craving some good Chinese food. this place hit the spot. the honey walnut shrimp was delicious! I was able to make it a combo for an upcharge and got some crab rangoons and egg drop soup. my guy got the orange chicken and loved it. looks like a little hole in the wall place yet the service and food was delicious! we will be back next time in town. read more

Judging by the pounding headache I got only 30 mins after eating here, I'm guessing their food contains MSG. I never get headaches after eating in Chinese restaurants that I know are MSG free. It's definitely not the best Chinese food I have ever had, but there are very few options for Chinese near my office, so I'll take it for their reasonably priced lunch any day. Oddly enough, I have been to their original location in Thornton and I absolutely could not stand it, but this location is much more tolerable. I always get one 3 dishes: Moo Goo Gai Pan, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, or the Barbecued Pork Noodle Soup. Many of the reviews are for deep fried dishes (ie. sweet & sour pork, sesame chicken, etc.). I tend to steer clear of those at any Chinese restaurant as a general rule since these are the most Americanized you will find on the menu. Of the 3 dishes I choose from, I will say that the Noodle Soup is my favorite. It comes in a large bowl filled with egg noodles, barbecued pork and vegetables in a light broth. I have to be in the right mood for the other dishes, because they use a very heavy hand with the sauce. I'm not a fan but I'm sure others don't mind. In any case, a full meal with soup and hot tea always comes out at the same price as a Fast Food Value Meal, so it's not too bad. read more

My family loves Heaven Dragon!! As a matter of fact, I don't know what I would have done without them. Their lo mein was the only thing my picky eater would eat for a while!! My favorite is the orange chicken, however the moo shu chicken is tasty too (oh, the plum sauce !!)!! We have come here several times a month for the last 6 years and have never been disappointed. Alright, on the wife's suggestion we broke tradition and ventured to a different Chinese place tonight (she had out at work this week and fell in love). OMGsogood. She said we had to get the walnut chicken (we did) and we got the sesame chicken. The first one is sweet, with a touch of spice and the sesame chicken was the best I've had since I don't know when. The chicken inside the batter had real flavor to it, instead relying just on the sauce to provide. The cheese wontons were small but tasty. While the food is decent, the service leaves something to be desired. I ordered $35 worth of food for pickup and got all the way home and the restaurant had forgotten the rice that comes with each entree. We have ordered here 3 times now and it is consistently good. the sesame chicken is moist and flavor-full and the beef and broccoli is great. the beef melts in your mouth! i branched out last night and ordered the crispy duck. They quoted 50 minutes for the duck would take a long time to prepare and it came in 20... that worried me a tish. the duck was OK not amazing but not horrible. Not crispy and 3/4 of it was very dry :( I will probably try the Peking duck next time cause that is my favorite preparation of duck for sure! always coupons available and a solid product time and time again. Probably the best Chinese food I've had in a long while! They are not greedy with the meats and use jumbo shrimp rather than the small salad shrimp that most Chinese restaurants use. Very flavorful without being too salty or garlicky. My go-to spot! read more

I get sesame tofu from this place approximately once a week. Best Sesame Tofu I have had in Colorado. It reminds me of a delicious donut, but it's tofu, fried perfectly (not too soft or firm), in the best sauce I could imagine. It's thick, spicy and sweet, with those little crunchy strings in it. I wish the dish came with a wider selection of veggies and did not come in a styrofoam box. Regardless, as the other reviewers say, the sauce they use must be some derivation of crack so I'll keep coming back for more. Was super tired and hungry, craving for some good cheap Chinese food, found this place close to work on yelp, the price of lunch specials were average and the choices were standard as other Chinese takeout places, next to the King Soopers gave me a chance to pick up groceries before the order was ready. The food tasted good as typical chinese takeout, the hot and sour soup was better than average, spring roll was crispy, but the fried rice was a bit bland.
