Nothing says Tex Mex like biscuits and gravy and homemade pinto beans

Came in for breakfast and glad I did! Breakfast buffet Friday thru Sunday is so great! Great selection and awesome service. If you're looking for some homemade Tex Mex breakfast I highly recommend giving heavens gate a try. Exceeded my expectations!

Interesting place you have here. With a title of "Heaven's Gate", became skeptical about what we'd be getting into. Then we walked in and the decore is very religious, complete with the 10 commandments in the entry. Skepticism grew. We were seated right away and out waitress was amazing. Very attentive and had a GREAT personality. The place was clean and the food was very tasty, and to that the skepticism went away and we all enjoyed ourselves. We will be back another day!

I had to stop here. With the same name as a cult that killed themselves of course I had to stop. The place is nice and clean. They have a old style counter to eat at. Looks nice. I came for breakfast. Saw that they had a breakfast Buffett on the weekends. I ordered the Heavenly Omelet. It was very good. Too much food to finish. They was setting of the lunch Buffett as I finished. Didn't look too bad. The waitress was very nice and prompt. I would come back for breakfast. I will update stars when I try the lunch but all in all good place for breakfast and price. PS, no cult paraphernalia found....BOOOOOOO. LOL

This place has good service. The staff is very attentive and they make the buffet food to order. The buffet is not that big. I heard they change the buffet daily but I am not sure what they are offering on the different days. I went on a Wednesday and they were offering fried chicken, baked chicken, meatloaf, chicken fried steak, and all types of sides. They have some amazing desserts. I hope to make my way back here. Oh, they have a breakfast buffet.

    We got the buffet.

Found this place on Yelp by accident. Thought we'd give it a try. The place was clean, must wear a mask while getting your food. No spacing of tables, everyone can sit where they want. Lots of egg choices. Bacon was good! Sausage patty and link was not good at all. The sodas were to carbonated. The pork chop was good. The Menudo, was actually pretty good. The bacon and the Menudo were good. The waitress was awesome. She came by constantly and took care of our drinks and cleared our table of plates. It was okay, no wow factors. Glad we tried it, but will probably stick to other breakfast options. This place is far from my home.

Excellent food and service. A little off the beaten track, but worth finding. Looking forward to trying their breakfast buffet on weekends.

How much is the lunch and breakfast buffet?

Around $11-$15. It is high but we'll worth the cost. They will prepare special orders like chicken fried steak and I believe omelettes and prepared eggs (haven't been to breakfast yet) all you can eat with a broad selection to choose from.

My late grandmother was a superb country cook and her name was Maggie. Good omen! We got there about 11:45 and got a table right away. Our server was Devin and she was terrific. We split the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The portion that they brought out was gigantic....plenty for two average appetites. What I really liked about it was - it was not over-breaded and it was fork-tender. (in my humble opinion, too many places are giving you a lot more breading that doesn't have meat under it. Yes, it's a first-world problem.) The mashed potatoes were also quite good, along with the cream gravy. I'm not a huge green bean fan, but my wife really liked them. This place has a cool vibe and we plan to return sometime soon. It's one of the top 3 CFS's we've had in Fort Worth / mid-cities.

We ordered nachos as an appetizer to split, along with two beers and a kids meal. What arrived was Motley Crue waking from a drug binge, raiding the pantry and trash, then declaring "let's do it." What was supposed to be nachos was anything but. The only explanation is someone who had never seen nachos tried to recreate them after hearing a rumor from someone at a Lowe's parking lot. The "chips" were not tortilla chips. They were rectangular strips of pale, flimsy material that looked like scraps of drywall film pulled out of a new construction site. An albino drywall experiment that somehow escaped the kitchen and landed on a plate. The entire thing was covered in barbecue sauce, with some mystery white liquid poured over the top. We assume it was supposed to be queso, but it definitely was not queso. Calling it queso feels disrespectful to actual queso. We ate maybe a quarter of it and decided we needed to leave before things got worse. Six hours later, we received an unannounced encore performance in the bathroom. I would avoid this place like a plague outbreak--unless you have an upcoming colonoscopy and want to skip the bowel prep.

We opted to go for straight up meat and potatoes. Let me tell you the Wagyu ribeye Tomahawk was the bomb the meat melted in your mouth and they also give you tons of their potatoes and all the sauces that you can try. I personally had a bone out ribeye and I opted for the garlic Demi glaze. You have to get the Demi glaze. It's simply amazing. I could probably drink the whole freaking thing. Every person at our table was trying to steal my demiglaze. The meat was simply the most tender juicy thing I've ever had. I don't think they need to give me even a steak knife to cut this. It was flavorful tender, and the best cooked steak I've ever had. We will be back after I get out of my meat coma.

First, major credit to Avery and Nancy, who were incredibly kind and patient considering we arrived fairly close to the end of lunch service before the restaurant closed for its afternoon break. We never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. I started lunch by ordering another cocktail (which may or may not have had me buzzing a little by this point) along with the 12 oz. prime rib steak served with buttery herb mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and chimichurri sauce. I'll admit, the steak was thinner than I expected for Texas (I sort of anticipated a Flintstones-sized slab of beef) but honestly? It was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked perfectly! The mashed potatoes were rich and even the vegetables were great! My dining companions ordered a bit lighter fare, I believe a salad and grilled cheese, but I was far too focused on my steak situation to pay close attention. I left absolutely stuffed and very, very, very happy about it. The atmosphere here is upscale without feeling pretentious. Between the Western inspired decor and the relaxed energy of the Stockyards area, it feels welcoming. Also worth noting: apparently bachelorette parties featuring men in cow-print overalls are welcome here too, so truly something for everyone. Great service, great food, and a really enjoyable dining experience overall. I'd happily come back the next time I find myself in Fort Worth!

The operational execution is tight, and the staff is fantastic, but the real draw is the menu--simply a carnivorous delight of high-quality steaks and wild game specialties. We kicked off the night with a trio of phenomenal starters: the wild boar ribs tossed in their signature BBQ sauce, the elk sliders layered with sweet blueberry jam, and the rabbit-rattlesnake sausage served over a crispy manchego rosti with crème fraîche. While every bite was great, that sausage was an absolute standout flavor combination. Next up was a bowl of traditional Texas Red. As a major bean lover, I know a purist chili can be a gamble, but I had zero complaints here. The delivery was excellent, deeply flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. For the main event, the roasted garlic stuffed beef tenderloin was executed flawlessly, accompanied by a heavy-hitting lineup of sides: rich truffle-infused mac & cheese, crispy Brussels sprouts tossed in a savory bacon vinaigrette with black garlic, and perfectly sautéed Texas wild mushrooms. We tied the entire evening together with several LALO Ranch Waters, kicked up with a sharp, salted Tajín rim. It was a spectacular meal from start to finish. If you want a genuine Texas dining experience that delivers on its promises, this is the spot.

It was Saturday at noon and we were one of the few tables but as we were leaving, it started getting crowded. Odd that they didn't have a kids menu but we figured it out. The prime rib lunch was the best thing. Great taste and good value. Would come back just for that! Mashed potato was pretty standard and truffle Mac and cheese was decent but nothing really stood out. The prime rib sandwich had a lot more fatty and dry edges so wasn't exactly a fan favorite but the French fries were good. The churros were tasty paired with the 3 accompanying sauces; my favorite was the caramel. I just wished they served more churros considering the sauce to churro ratio: the decadent chocolate cake was yummy but oh so rich, only a few bites were needed.
