Heck's is a great little spot in a cute little city. Food is delicious!!!! The ABC omelet and the cheese burger are a fav. The ambience is nice, service is great, and the food came out fast. We also like their milkshakes and cappuccino. Neat little spot!

Such a wonderful ambiance in the room with the spiral staircase and special floor tiles. Present for lunch on a Tuesday. Arrived at 11:30a without reservation and led right to a table. Room full by end. My salad was absolutely scrumptious. Loved every aspect of it. Gorgeous. Friend's burger looked juicy & divine (jealous, perhaps). Fries - I got one! Super. Only scruple - the piece of celery on my Bloody Mary skewer looked like it had been sliced a couple days ago. Set it aside. No biggee. But celery's not pricey. Give me a fresh cut next time, please!

Hecks in Ohio City is still one of the most charming venues with great food! The ambience of this location is exceptional. You start drinking in the rooms, just walking into the restaurant. It's a charming neighborhood, particularly with the Autumn leaves blanketing the area. Lunch was exceptional. I had the Au Chaval Burger. Mind you, I was skeptical because I used to live within walking distance from the actual "Au Chaval" in Chicago. This was every bit as good as the original, and trust me, the Au Chaval burger is better than you can imagine. It was two sunny-side-up eggs on excellent, high-quality beef with a dollop of sour cream and a quality bun. The fries are excellent, just soft enough to dip in ketchup and mayo and very tasty, not the least bit greasy. The service was as good as it gets. Again, a good restaurant server is like God, everywhere but never seen, and always available when you need them. This is a place well worth visiting! Thank you, staff!

Heck's Cafe does not disappoint. I made a reservation and was seated where I was preferenced. I greatly appreciated the acknowledgement of my note on my opentable reservation. The cute scenic view of the spiral staircase with sunlight coming in through the windows is my favorite. Our waiter was very attentive, flexible and kind. We ordered the pierogis and potstickers as appetizers. It wasn't as flavorful as I remember it. But still not too bad, although they were pricey appetizers at $13, when my large burger and fries were only $15. One thing I will say is service is kinda slow, but I understand that they're very busy and have a lot going on so I definitely don't count that against them. I ordered the Ohio City Burger, the spice flavor was strong, but kinda wish I would've opted for a burger with an aioli sauce since it was dry. My friend got the blackened salmon burger which she enjoyed. The fries were decent too and I appreciated the large pickle slice. The basic coffee was surprisingly amazing and had a very strong fall mix taste. Highly recommend for anyone new to the area to check out Heck's. I can't wait to try other options off the menu on future visits!

This little corner spot is so much bigger than imagined on the inside! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is fantastic. Everyone is so friendly. Brunch is the best but the burgers are great too.

Wow. amazing! From the food to the service, this place was awesome. I am always looking for a good truffle fry and i'd say this place is going to be my top 3!! Fresh food, great flavors and great staff.

A terrific overall experience. Quick service and delicious assortment of food. Had to take a full takeout container of leftovers home. A variety of seating and settings, from personal tables to an airy greenhouse area to a lodge-type dining hall. Great spot to check out!

The perfect brunch spot year round. In the summer you can dine outside, but there's some really cool places to enjoy your meal amongst an incredible plant room. The service is great, the food is awesome and your experience will be second to none. Check out the heckburger or one of their seasonal specials for an unforgettable meal.

I had a great solo lunch sitting at the bar of Heck's. The staff were very friendly and I had great interactions with both Victoria and Joan. I thought I wanted one burger but I was happily encouraged to try the Brie Berry Burger with added caramelized onions. I subbed the Cesar salad for French fries and it was such delicious and filling meal. I also tried the My Mai Thai and it was sweet and bright and tasty.

The staff are lovely but I find the food pretty average . The burger meat could have used more seasoning it did not have much of a flavor .

Hecks Café is such a cute spot! This place is very trendy and hipster and if you are an out of towner this is a great place to check out. It is a bit more on the pricey side but in my option the quality is there. Food: Salmon Burger 8/10 It's shredded salmon not a patty - which is weird because they asked me how I wanted it cooked - I said medium it was a bit on the soggy side. The waitress warned us an said people found it salty so I asked for no seasoning and just the sause it came with on the side and I thought it was great. I would order it again- but next time well done so it's not soggy. Truffle Fries 10/10 These were a table favorite! They are real fresh potatoes and are rich in truffle flavor no dipping necessary! Heck Burger 10/10 Cooked to my husbands specifications and fresh! Salmon entree 8/10 Falafel burger 10/10 Slightly spicy but filling and homemade! All in all we enjoyed our meal there and the waitress was outstanding and paced our courses well and kept our drinks above 1/2 the entire time. I recommend a nice meal here :)

It was a delicious welcome to Cleveland, a lovely place to have dinner, in the beautiful Ohio City area. Beautifully decorated inside and outside. Food menu was impressive in its variety and unique dishes. Service was excellent. Delicious meal! Street parking was free and easy to find on a weeknight. Thank you!!

Made a reservation for a bachelorette party and we had such a good time. The main dining room is beautiful and had Miss abstract art on the gray walls with natural light coming through the ceiling, reminded me of the rainforest cafe at the Cleveland zoo. Food was good but i expected more mushrooms in my mushroom chicken dish. I highly recommend the tamarind jalapeño margarita!

It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. We waited approximately 41 minutes for our food: a BLT with fries, Chicken & Waffles, and a crab cake platter with over-easy eggs and potatoes. Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived, EVERYTHING was cold. I brought this to the manager's attention, and I was offered the option to have the food reheated. Reheated? How do you properly reheat bacon that has already been cooked? Fries that have already been deep-fried? A waffle? Over-easy eggs? At that point, I would have expected the food to be remade fresh, rather than reheated. The food itself had good flavor, which makes the experience even more disappointing because I would have liked the opportunity to actually enjoy it fresh. Instead, I couldn't eat my meal. Paying $20 for a cold BLT and cold fries after waiting 41 minutes is simply not acceptable. Unfortunately, the customer service experience made things even worse. The manager's energy came across as rude, uninviting, and unwilling to genuinely listen or assist with the situation. When a customer has waited 41 minutes and receives an entire meal cold, I would expect the manager to be empathetic, listen to the concern, and make a genuine effort to resolve it. There were also some things happening throughout the restaurant that were concerning from a cleanliness and professionalism standpoint. I observed the bartender and employees playing cards at the bar, while kitchen staff were walking around the dining area in their aprons. I also witnessed a kitchen employee rub their nose with their apron. Seeing an apron used in that manner was especially concerning to me from a food-safety and sanitation perspective as aprons shouldn't be worn outside of the kitchen. I understand that restaurants can have busy days and that mistakes happen. However, the combination of the 41-minute wait, an entire meal arriving cold, the response from management, and the lack of professionalism and cleanliness I observed made this a very disappointing experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Customers should be able to expect their food to arrive hot and fresh, and when something goes wrong, they should feel that management genuinely cares about making it right.

I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.

The guy at the register said the bread pudding still has a "cinnamon roll base, so it has orange in it" despite nothing in the sign denoting this awful addition to bread pudding and the fact that cinnamon rolls are not orange rolls. But I digress and I won't fight with a cashier over their poor decisions lol. Also got a cherry chocolate sourdough on impulse. Pray it is soft inside.
