I've bought several vehicles from Helfman over the years. Always had a good experience. I bought a new F-150 Platinum in the fall of 2023. It has had issues starting within a few months of purchasing it. I've taken the truck in 4 times for the same issue. The brakes squeak constantly after the vehicle warms up. They keep saying it's fixed, but within a couple of months. The same problem happens. They say they've replaced the entire front brakes at this point and there is nothing more they can do. This is an $85k truck and the brakes squeak loudly everyday. Completely unacceptable I spoke to one of the owners (the owners son I believe). He said I guess you'll just have to buy your vehicles somewhere else from now on. Terrible business statement. It's sad. I will never buy another vehicle from them again. So spend a lot more time inspecting your new car on their lot, than I did. Especially the outside for scratches. The finance department took longer than expected, and he really pushed an extended warranty. I had to decline it 3 times. I brought my 2019 Ford Escape to Helfman Ford on November 10, 2025 for a flywheel replacement. The vehicle was returned to me on November 18, 2025. On November 19, 2025, the very next day, I noticed transmission fluid leaking and brought the vehicle back. I was told by the service advisor that it was only transmission cleaner that needed to burn off and that the vehicle was safe to drive. On December 15, 2025, the vehicle became completely inoperable and had to be towed back to Helfman Ford. I was later informed that a bolt from the flywheel had backed out and cracked the transmission housing. The vehicle was returned to me on December 24, 2025 with a used transmission, no warranty, and dashboard warning lights illuminated. After this repair, the vehicle developed a steering issue, including stiffness and a clicking noise, which did not exist prior to Helfman Ford's work. On Monday, December 29, 2025, I brought the vehicle back again due to these ongoing issues. I was told that Doug Ikner, the Service Director, was not in and that he would contact me regarding the current problems. I did not receive a resolution. Despite replacing the transmission at no charge, the dealership has continued to state that a left lower control arm is the cause of the transmission-related issues, even though the transmission failure occurred after their flywheel repair and the transmission was replaced by them. I was also told by Doug Ikner, that if he were me, he would "get rid of the vehicle," rather than the dealership repairing it back to its original, safe condition. I sent a certified letter requesting the vehicle be repaired back to its pre-repair condition, and nothing has been rectified. The vehicle was not returned to me in the condition it was brought in, and I believe it was knowingly released in a defective state. Salesman (or Finance Manager as claimed on LinkedIn) Aaron Trevino should not be trusted. Firstly, Aaron was very unresponsive to emails while I was trying to work with him on a purchase remotely. Mr Trevino even referred to my mother who has power of attorney since I am overseas as "Mommy" sarcastically in his last and final email to me. I never did hear back from Aaron Trevino after several attempts to get the numbers so I ended up making the purchase all online without Aaron Trevino's help. Unfortunately, this is not where the story ends. When my mother went to test drive the vehicle on my behalf, Mr Trevino pretended to be "Johnny" after we explained to Albert in Finance Mr Trevino should not be part of the transaction since he ghosted me and I finalized my purchase online without assistance from any Sales rep. "Johnny" aka Aaron Trevino proceeded to take my mother on the test drive in an attempt to pull the wool over our eyes but that was ill fated as he was found out eventually. We only found out "Johnny" was actually Aaron Trevino the next day when taking delivery of the vehicle. Aaron Trevino's behavior was unprofessional, childish and downright disrespectful. I am extremely disappointed with the Ford SERVICE department and their complete lack of care and professionalism. Specially the service manager (Craig Vollmar and Mr. Schofield) Not only did they allow us to leave with a vehicle that was clearly unsafe, but they also completely ignored the fact that the engine had an active recall, one that could potentially cause it to blow up. When we raised our concerns about this serious safety issue, it was as if they didn't even care. Instead of addressing the recall and assuring us that the vehicle was safe, they acted as though it was no big deal. What made the situation even worse was the belittling attitudes we encountered. It felt as though our concerns were dismissed simply because of our gender. The condescending tone and dismissive behavior were appalling. No one should have to deal with such unprofessional and discriminatory treatment when purchasing a vehicle. Ford should be ashamed of the service we received, and I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere before trusting this dealership with their safety and hard-earned money. if I could leave zero star, I would! Tires went out a couple of weeks ago and discount tires said it's impossible the tires passed inspection with the time I bought it and now with the miles I put on the car. And on top of that no tire key was isn't here car and true dealership had to strip the lugs off!! So to review how bad they are!! 1. No spare key given or notice they don't have one. = $325 2. They don't have in the budget to fill up your car after you buy it with a tank of gas! = $60 3. Bad tires that go out in 3-4 months costing = $250 per new tires... $500 4. No tire lock key so bolts had to be stripped off!! What a nightmare. But they can afford and pay to have your review removed. Haha read more

When I purchased my 2020 F-150, the man in finance, sold me a bumper to bumper five year 100,000 mile warranty for close to $2000. He most definitely deceived me. The warranty he sold me only covered the drive train. Had he presented it as that I would have declined. This was very dishonest. I've had no issues other than a leaking tail light lense. Before buying from them... My name is Timothy Ryan. This is my story. After negotiating with the salesman on a price on a used vehicle, we came to an agreement on the price. I told him to get the paperwork together. He told me what he needed from me. I had to jump through a whole bunch of hoops to get this sale ready to go. I had to get insurance on the vehicle, a bunch of documents to and from my credit union. We went round and round. I got them everything they wanted, but when I sat down with my local credit Union to go ahead and sign the papers, I saw they had switched the numbers on me The selling price they put in the sales document were not the ones agreed upon by me. They put their original initial asking price. Then after complaining about it and trying to talk to somebody about it, they insisted that their initial asking price was the rock bottom they could accept for that vehicle. Who's gonna believe that junk! They always leave themselves some wiggle room to make a deal in the initial asking price. In the meantime I put my personal vehicle up for sale (and have it sold) so I'd have the money to go there and finish off the purchase of this used vehicle that I was buying from them. I even had to give them a $1000 deposit to hold the vehicle on top of all of that. They tried to just write it off as a miscommunication, but I have emails and text messages to prove it. I truly believe that they have another deal in the works for sale with somebody else because they found that they can make more money off the vehicle. I always thought somebody's word was worth something when you're doing business with somebody. Didn't even try to meet me in the middle somewhere. They are trying to make me believe theres no wiggle room on the price which is $4000 over Kelly blue book value. ( I ran it by the vin and the mileage they gave me) all of a sudden they say they don't use Kelly blue book value to determine the value of their vehicles... but they used it to determine the value of my vehicle. They didn't offer me top value on the Kelly blue book value. They offered me the middle of the road value, thats why i was able to sell it for much more. That's what kind of sales team you're dealing with over there. I'm still waiting on the General sales manager Mr. Easley to call me back, maybe he'll rectify things or at least try to meet me in the middle somewhere. I hate to write a review like this on a family own business because maybe those people are good honest people that don't deserve it, But I don't deserve the way I've been treated. And I told the salesman from the get-go don't waste my time and I won't waste yours, don't get my hopes up, let's keep it real when we neandgotiated the price. I'm a 60 years old veteran retired state law enforcement officer. I have bought many vehicles in my lifetime. I was instructed to bring my car in without an appointment by the service department. I dropped my car off (which was purchased at this dealership less than one year ago) early on Tuesday morning and was told it would probably be 3 days before they were able to even look at it for a possible 12V battery which needed to be replaced and a front collision sensor which was not working. By Monday, my vehicle had never moved from their back parking lot even though I had been told Friday afternoon they were looking at it and could be finished by Friday evening. When I called to make arrangements to pick up my car they told me it had only been there 3 days ( not sure where they learned math) and that 7 days without my vehicle being looked at was not a long time since it's electric. I bought my 2018 Ford eco-sport from this dealership back in March 2019. I came in with my preapproval letter knowing exactly what size color and features I wanted in my car as well as the price point I wanted to be. From jump the sales rep I had was shitty, I'm a pretty easy customer, I knew exactly what I wanted what price point what car I had already did my research on the car that I wanted literally it was just a matter of coming in signing paperwork and driving off the lot. When I first got my car they were already having issues trying to get the push auto start on the vehicle they try to give me some shitty third-party that they use instead of the Ford brand. Of course the third-party that they were using Used a system that wasn't even compatible with the car that I have. I wanted my windows tinted which took them about a week or so to get done, and the issues with the alarm continued even after two or three weeks. Fast forward to almost a year later and I have kept up the maintenance on my car just like the manual tells you to, I'm very big on making sure my car is taken care of since this is basically a dream car for me. Back in May was when I first noticed the tech issues with the screen, I called into the service department and they blamed the Texas heat. I guess that's fair but here we are it's raining and not even that cold just raining and we're still having the same tech issues with the screen. Not only that but now this little wrench light on my dashboard popped up which could mean a powertrain malfunction. Now already having a feeling of how the service department works I went ahead and took a video when everything happened to make sure I had a video proof of what was going on with my car. Two days of back-and-forth, shuttle riding, trying to get in contact with Ian, and not being able to have a loaner car all while being worried about something malfunctioning while I'm driving like a did the day before and here I am back at work with absolutely no results. Three separate issues I took my car in for, and all I got was two days of inconveniences. Three separate techs dealing with three separate issues and nobody could figure anything out. The man in the service department was horrible, ride, and dismissive. He Went on and on about the sales department.... Long story short, no oil change. I've gotten my lube services elsewhere. FF to last week, took my truck in to the dealer for battery service, since they said they have the correct battery, and that the other places don't have the correct gel battery. No issue. Brought it in today for the recall, brakes, and tires. Called to confirm, left a message for BJ, NO CALL BACK. Called back, spoke with someone, confirmed the services, and declined an oil change upsale. Received a Called back from service department, the oil change was completed. This is a scam. Well this particular day I was approached by a Mr. Eric Helfman right before I was going to initiate charging my truck and he told me that I would not only be able to charge my truck today but in the future until or at least when public charging stations are installed at Helfman Ford because I did not purchase the vehicle from that dealership and the chargers were installed only for the inventory at Helfman, so I told Mr. Eric Helfman that I have visited other dealerships that are near my home ( Big Star Ford and was welcomed there ) purchased 4 Ford vehicles in the past and if this was an indication of how established Ford customers are treated at Helfman Ford then I would leave and NEVER return - consequently I visited the body shop just behind the service center at Helfman Ford where I spoke with a Representative of the Body Shop named Jimmy and I explained to him that I had a small warranty issue with how a fender molding was lined up incorrectly and with out hesitation he assured me that he could fix it with in 20 minutes and did so with no charge and side come back and see ask for me should you have any more problems . @Ford read more
