Greeted at the door by the hostess who was so welcoming and chatted as she sat us to our table in the main dining room. First thing to make us feel right at home was the comfy chairs at the table, almost like pulling up a chair at Grans house, setting the expectations high. The dining area is filled with TV's in all view points, another plus for the Barrel House! The decor is modern rustic and the American Flag is also in view no matter your seat, another plus in my book! Our waitress was quick to greet us and was also quite welcoming. Started the meal with a Hendo's West Coast IPA and a Pear Pressure (delish by the way) and an appetizer of Truffle Mac n' Cheese bites. They were nicely portioned (not like a big old Mac n' Cheese ball but rather tot size aka bite size). They were dusted with a truffle powder and served with a nice truffle aioli for dipping. Excellent. Split a Fox Burger (fricken delicious), that had a delicious bourbon bbq glaze on premium ground chuck. A perfect juicy burger with Gouda cheese, onion straws and soft bun. Definitely will be back for the burger! Also ordered some Bourbon BBQ Wings which were also excellent! The sauce is so finger licking good! They're also served with choice of Ranch or Blue Cheese. Whether it's brunch, lunch, dinner, or a group event Hendos Barrel House is your spot! What an incredible venue. So many tables inside and out. If you can get the fire pit you might as well spend an entire Saturday watching college football here. To be honest when I went it was early and quiet but Julie my server and was incredibly attentive and had great input on the menu. Ordered the short rib hash. Presentation was perfect. I like that they don't add any sauce but I recommend the bourbon bbq sauce to add a little extra spice to the dish. The Calisqueeze Beermosa was delicious and the perfect complement to my short rib hash, eggs, and potato brunch. My parents live in the area and suggested trying this spot. It isn't something I would have picked, but we gave it shot. We were seated promptly, and the drinks arrived quickly, but it went quickly downhill from there. The food took forever, and when it did arrive, they forgot my mom's dish; it subsequently came out well after everyone else's. Meanwhile, my husband's burger was overcooked, and the sweet potato fries were cold and inedible. My smash burger and my dad's porkchop were mid at best and certainly not worth the price. The server wasn't checking in on us, and we had to flag someone else down for a second round of drinks. When our server finally checked back in, they asked how the food was, and we shared the concerns above. They completely disregarded everything, and said "I'm glad you enjoyed it." Let me make it clear that we did NOT enjoy the food. We definitely overpaid for the mediocre food and slow, insincere service. The staff is the reason for the 4 stars, food wise I'd give this 3 stars. We were greeted upon entering, inside was clean. Our server, Amber was delightful, very helpful and efficient. For a brunch I was disappointed that they did not have some kind of coffee or mimosa flight or even some kind of Bloody Mary special. Amber did say they just got in an espresso machine from Italy but it's not up and ready yet. We ordered the Short Rib Hash and Eggs Benedict. The kitchen was pretty slow, but we were not in a rush and understand a new service has its kinks to be worked out. A server came over apologized for the delay and explained the situation, which again, was not a big deal because we were not in a rush. The Short Rib Hash looked nice but it lacked flavor. The meat was tender but just tasted like unseasoned roasted meat. The portion size was more than enough. Has potential though. The pickled onions had a nice spice to them as well. The eggs for the Eggs Benedict were cooked nicely and I loved the tiny chives on top. Unfortunately, I did not see or taste any spinach. The English muffin was only grilled on 1 side so the other side was very soggy. I should have asked for both sides to be grilled. This dish also came with salad that had a nice light citrus or vinegar coating. It also came with tasty grilled smashed potatoes with salt, parm and herbs. The dinner and drink menu looked interesting we may come back to try the dinner service. So I got the tickets for the Super Bowl event not knowing I was walking into maga territory. I was so excited for Super Bowl just to be told they are playing kid rock half time show instead of bad bunny! You had to go outside to this single tv to watch the main half time show. The burger was great, cooked perfectly, the fries on the other hand tasted like yesterday's fries reheated in the microwave. I was excited about dining here, as a fan of Hendo's fighting career. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. Our server, Ashley, started off well, then declined after taking our order. She never once checked on us until we were completely finished eating. No refills or making sure we were happy with our items. At the end, I asked for more water. She didn't offer more lemonade(cheap fountain drink). She said, "I'll grab you more water." How absurd that sounds. She wasn't even the person who refilled my water. Hendo's is the spot if you're in the Temecula area! I stopped by Hendo's for lunch yesterday and had a great experience. Hostess greeted me right when i walked in and i told her i would just find a spot at the bar. Impressive bar setup. Bar top was nice and clean, pretty comfy barstools, great liquor inventory with lots of different whiskey offerings. Hendo's has a sports bar feel to it but it's definitely much nicer than your average sports bar. Plenty of screens all over which isn't hard to do but they did it with taste and attention to detail. They had baseball, racing and soccer going on the screens nearest to me. I wasn't there long before Jessie the bartender welcomed me and asked what I felt like drinking. I'm usually a draft beer sort of guy but she sold me on a cocktail option they were having for their 1 year anniversary weekend. Paid $30 for a limited edition Hendo's rocks glass that included my first drink. She did explain what the cocktail was and all it's ingredients but I'll be honest, she was pretty easy on the eyes and she probably could've told me it was warm water from the spout outside and i still would've bought it. I'm pretty sure it was a type of Old Fashioned. I'm not really that big on Old Fashioned drinks but the glass was really nice and not only did you get the first drink included but a refill was only $10. Seemed like a no brainer. The drink was great and watching her prepare it you could tell she really enjoys her craft. It was a little sweeter than a typical Old Fashioned due to the addition of some Macadamia Nut liqueur but not too sweet. I liked it so much i took advantage of the $10 refill and ordered another one. The bar top was pretty packed but the staff was on top of it. Bar back was workin his butt off with the glassware and keeping things stocked. Jessie was going nonstop crankin out drinks at the well near me for the bar top while a couple other bartenders kept up with the beer and wine pours and drink tickets for the serving staff. When it came to food i ordered some wings and fries. They have a few different options for wing flavors available in qtys if 6/12. I went with the Korean Crispy or something like that and they were really good. Huge wings, tons of meet on the bone cooked well and a really awesome korean glaze to em. Fries are fries to me usually but they were good. Big bowl of nice sized fries came out hot just like the wings. After my second cocktail i switched to a Hendo's West Coast IPA, that's some really good stuff. I'm not much of an IPA guy but that particular beer is a really easy drinking IPA. Hendo's is definitely worth a try. Atmosphere was amazing, place was pretty packed with all sorts of different people having a great time. Food was great, drinks and beer were really good and that bartender Jessie is awesome. So much fun keeping a smile on everyone's face and great energy behind the bar. Our family visited Hendo's Barrel House in Temecula on Sunday with a confirmed reservation for four adults and two children, and what followed was a textbook example of poor management and complete back-of-house failure. After ordering, we waited over an hour for food to arrive. When it finally did, the meals were brought out 20 minutes apart, completely defeating the purpose of dining together as a family. Children were left sitting and waiting while adults were served at different times. No apology can excuse that level of disorganization. I want to clearly state that our server was excellent--professional, apologetic, and clearly trying to manage a situation that was entirely out of their control. The real issue began when the manager, Abby, came to our table. She was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to take accountability for what was happening. Rather than offering solutions or attempting to make the situation right, her attitude made it clear that our experience simply did not matter. There was no genuine apology, no effort to correct the problem, and no concern for the impact this had on our family's dining experience. Delays happen. Kitchens get behind. But poor leadership and disrespect toward paying customers is unacceptable. The way this situation was handled ensured that we will never return, regardless of how good the food might be. There are too many great restaurants in Temecula to tolerate this level of incompetence and unprofessional management. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. read more

There was a 20% added gratuity, which is pretty standard, but I'm not sure if that's why our waitress, Lydia kind of lagged. They can also only split up to 3 checks, so if you come with a large party be aware of that. My friend wanted to order a dessert, but our waitress didn't come back for along time, so she passed. When we arrived, there was about an hour wait for walk-ins, so we opted to sit at the bar--and it turned out to be a great choice. The bartender provided full service and was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the "Take Down" cocktail, and it was delicious! My husband had their IPA and really enjoyed it as well. For food, we shared the burnt pork belly ends, Brussels sprouts, French onion soup, and the Fox burger. Every single dish was incredible. We also found the prices to be very reasonable. I'm kind of 50/50 on our experience today. When we walked in, the hostess and the one who seated us were a bit less than friendly. We were asked if we wanted to sit on the patio and at first I said no because it was on the warmer side today and then I asked how long for a table indoors, the hostess replied about 30 minutes so we opted to sit on the patio. We walked outside and most of the tables had little to no shade, the ones that did have some shade the people sitting in them were crammed together so they weren't in the hot sun. I asked if we could sit out on the patio until a table inside opened up and was told no we would have to go back out to the front and wait. If you're going to have a patio area to dine, you DEFINITELY should have adequate shade. Then we sat there for 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted ice water, ummm hello it's freakin hot out here in the sun. Onto our meal. I ordered the truffle Mac and cheese bites as an appetizer and specifically requested them before our meal which our waitress acknowledged ok. They didn't come until our meal. They were pretty good but need to lay off the salt. Myself and son ordered the Fox burgers. Nice tasty and juicy burgers but they must've been running low on lettuce because mine had the white butt of the lettuce and my son's burger had no lettuce. Decided to try the newest spot spot in town on a whim and hoped for the best since they just opened and it was prime dinner time. We were worried for nothing! Food - So good! We started with the kettle chip nachos. Yes kettle chips! Great start to the meal. Then we tried the fox burger and the short rib grilled cheese. Of the 2 we preferred the fox burger. Tasty and juicy meat, fresh crisp lettuce, bacon bbq jam, and truffle. The short rib grilled cheese came with an au jus which was really red wine forward. The fries were awesome. Served crisp and hot! Great ranch for dipping too. For dessert we got the basque cheese cake and the butter cake. The basque cheesecake was cute. It was a single serving vs being a slice of a big one. My hubby loves basque cheesecake and he said this one was good. I opted for the butter cake. So glad I did. It was served warm topped with toffee syrup AND cinnamon ice cream which was not listed on the menu. So yum!! The cake had a nice chew on top similar to the texture of a corner of a brownie in the best possible way. That cinnamon ice cream too! Such a great touch. Hospitality - Hostess was friendly and had a calm presence. It was a little busy but she didn't let that affect her hospitality. We were seated pretty promptly. Our server was great. She refilled our drinks without us having to ask her. She made some great food suggestions. Checked on us just enough without being overbearing. We went back again this afternoon for their second day of the soft opening. My main reason for doing so was so that I could try the Mexican Lager on tap. It was great! It was light, refreshing, and not overly hoppy like some craft Mexican lagers tend to be. We also got the chips and guac again, which was just as good as previously, and we ordered the brussel sprouts too, and they were excellent. The bartender was so sweet and super attentive.
