Overcooked Omelette. The Bacado Omelette. Meh
    Simon K.

No, just no. Definitely not a place for breakfast. Severely overcooked food. Eggs Benedict was over hard. Basically like hard boiled eggs placed on top of English Muffins. The omelette was brown. That's how long it was cooked. They cooked it until it turned brown.

I used to come here as a kid; I'm happy to know they're still solid for juicy burgers. When I say juicy burgers I mean put the napkin in your lap, and enjoy the ride Hennessey's will send ya on once your stacked burger arrives. I ordered an Irish burger with fancy bacon, fried onions, and Irish cheese, he got a burger with Bleu cheese. We both ate in silence despite the music jamming around us, wolfing down and savoring every last bite. I uhm. I barely ate my fries that burger was so filling. Service was on point, drinks were refilled, and there was no wait. Tuesdays are BOGO burgers. They used to have a burger for your birthday club (I gotta see if they still do).

They had me at Bloody Mary. And for 7.50, it was meant to try it out. We walked around Main Street looking for someplace for lunch and ended up here. Saw the open patio as we had the little pup with us. Noticed the hostess cleaning one of the tables and asked here if it was ok to have our pup with us. Of course she said, which we later seen that so many people would pop in with their fur babies. We checked in which there was about 4 other parties ahead of us. We were wanting the patio seating which they had plenty of seating but still had to wait for a table. It was about a 10 minute wait or so. They were going by the sign in sheet. Hostess was quite sweet and friendly. We got seating which there with plenty of seating still available. There was also hi top bar seating where it seemed like it was first come first serve seating. Menu for the place looked quite interesting. They had breakfast but it was only served till a certain time. Of course the reason we stopped in here was for the Bloody Mary deal we saw for 7.50. Not sure if it's all week or only on for the weekend. Found out that it goes on till 5:30 I believe. Of course we had to try it out. It was a pretty decent size and extra spicy how we like it. Adorned with celery stick, pickle slice, pearl onion, olives and perppercini. For the price, it was quite nice. I thought they would have just used the premixed but it was quoted that each one was made specifically. Quite tasty I must say. Entrees, we just went for a salad. The poke salad on top of mix spring greens was excellent. Nice full chunks of poke in a nice glaze and served with dressing on the side. Portion wise was massive for the price. And the Cobb salad. Your classic with all the usual toppings. Grilled chicken with bacons, tomatoes, avocado, eggs blue cheese crumbles and black olives. Food was nice. Nothing major but they were great. We did also order a side of fries which never came out but later didn't see it on the bill. Waitress must have not heard us ordering it. It was fine. The food was great and service was nice. Seating situation was by the list but we noticed that you could just walk in and have a seat along the patio hi top tables.

I had been hearing about Hennessy's from months from friends who are regulars. In town visiting and Hennessy's was a must try. We dined on a Thursday afternoon, I believe the bacon smash burgers are like $7. I was shocked at the hearty portion size at a rollback price. I could only finish half (hello leftovers) but it was delicious. Not pictured are the fries and the house made lemonade is a must have! I even got one to go! Fun time at Hennessy's and the smash burger is super popular; every table I glance at ordered one if not two!

We enjoyed the buy one get one burger special this past Tuesday. I got the Bacado Burger and it was pretty good.

Our second visit since we started our visit in SoCal. Parking in the tea is pretty tight. We were able to get a spot in their lot, even though a couple of large pickups made it even tighter! I decided on their California Citrus Salad with Salmon while my wife had a bowl of tomato bisque while splitting a basket of house chips. Delicious! Our sever/bar tender was lovely and friendly! We truly appreciated her hospitality! We just might be back again before we leave in a few weeks!

Place was recommended by one of the vendors around the area so we thought we'd give it a try. Had a mushroom Swiss burger with fries & some crispy calamari for late lunch and it was really good! Hubby & I split the burger since we both couldn't finish eating one to ourselves. Burger was cooked medium well, is nicely seasoned and our bellies were truly satisfied.

Great happy hour 4-7pm M-F. The prime dip was great! Same with the salad. Good service, I will be back!

We went for brunch. It looks to be mainly a bar but they have a descent sized food menu. I got the Irish Nachos which was basically like eating a sliced loaded baked potato. It was large. Our server was friendly and attentive (routinely checked to see if we needed refills and how we were doing) and seating wasn't difficult.

Smash Burger (double cheeseburger with fries)

I was really excited to show my friend how good the smash burger is, but after giving it such a strong recommendation, I ended up disappointed. The burger tasted like it had been sitting out--it arrived cold and didn't feel freshly made. I was enjoying my second beer and taking my time, but I started to feel rushed by the waitress, as if they needed to turn the table during a shift change. I didn't appreciate that at all. I paid for the meal, and I should be able to leave when I'm ready.

I love this place especially on Thursdays lunch time when they have the $7 smash burger OMG, and working down the street it's so convenient to come here on my lunch during FIFA great place to go eat and enjoy the games!

Highly recommend! Came here during lunch break with coworkers. Hennessey's Tavern serves American food; burgers, soup/salad, and sandwiches. I ordered the burger of the month, it was the BBQ Brisket Pretzel Burger ($19.75). It comes with a side of fries. It was super massive and delicious. I highly recommend this burger if you love meat. They have a small parking lot but i assume it's small. There's lots of parking space in the steet but it's all full and usually have to get lucky to find a space. Also not sure how seatings work here. We entered the restaurant, no one greeted us, so we just sat down at a table. Servers have to keep a keen eye out for new customers that sit down at the tables without them knowing. Interior is roomy and has cool decorations.

So we were out to grab a bite to eat and the live music won me over. The dude performing was amazing and took all of our request. We grabbed some drinks and got the French Fry sampler. This was a first for me, but the plain fries and aioli was my favorite. Not to say the garlic fries and spicy fries weren't great as well. For my main I got the steak and shrimp and it did not disappoint. I got my steak medium and it was cooked just right. The mash potatoes and greens were a great pairing and it capped of a nice meal. This place is legit and the live music makes it even better

Top is the burger of the month, brisket burger. Bottom is the Frisco Burger!!! Enjoy!!!!

About 8 years ago I lived right on Main Street in downtown Seal Beach, next to Armand's restaurant, Bistro St. Germain, and O'Malley's quickly became my spot. It was easily my favorite Irish pub in Seal Beach and honestly one of the best in the surrounding cities/towns too. For me it's ALL about the food. An Irish pub has to have some legit Irish fare, and O'Malley's definitely does, but what makes this place even better is that their regular menu is just as good. The fish & chips is hands down my favorite thing on the menu. The piece of fish is INSANELY huge. We're really picky about fish & chips, especially the batter, and theirs is exactly how we like it -- super crunchy and crispy on the outside, piping hot when it comes out, and the fish inside is still nice and flaky. And the fries... I don't know what they're doing to them, but their regular fries are ridiculously crunchy and crispy. Seriously some of the best fries I've probably had anywhere. The sweet potato fries are on point too. The potato skins are another must. Probably some of the best I've had anywhere and they are LOADED. Bacon, cheese, green onions, sour cream... they definitely aren't giving you one of those sad potato skins with three pieces of bacon sprinkled on top. We brought the kids this time and they loved our fish & chips so much that we ended up having to order another order. Then we realized they actually have Jr. Fish & Chips on the kids menu, which was even more perfect. Their kids menu in general is amazing -- grilled cheese, cheeseburger, chicken tenders, hot dog, quesadilla, fish & chips, shepherd's pie, beef stew... way better than the usual couple of boring kids options. Emma and Dillon were taking care of us and were both super friendly and attentive. Even when the place was packed and there were only a couple people running around serving everyone, they were still checking on us and taking great care of the table. Hopefully I got Dillon's spelling right! It's also surprisingly perfect with kids. The ambience is exactly what we need as parents -- lively enough that the noise and hyperness from our kids just blends into the pub atmosphere , but NOT so loud that you can't actually sit there and have a normal conversation. Just really good vibes. I'm also a HUGE supporter of local, homegrown restaurants, so whenever I find a place I really like, I try to promote them however I can. On our way out, I saw this cute older Asian couple standing outside studying the menu HARD. They reminded me so much of my parents -- analyzing the prices, looking at everything on the menu, probably calculating the cost-to-dish-value ratio and comparing it to every other restaurant on the block to make sure they were getting their money's worth. They looked like they were about to walk away. I had a feeling they were Korean, so as we were walking out I said out loud, "AHHH BAEBULLEO!" (아 배불러! -- I'm so full!) and then asked my daughter in Korean if she loved the fish & chips. Sure enough, that got their attention. I told them the fish & chips was SO good and used my hands to show them how ridiculously huge the piece of fish was. They immediately seemed happy to hear it and started asking about it. We walked around Main Street for a little while and eventually passed O'Malley's again and lo and behold... THEY WENT INSIDE TO EAT. That seriously made me happy. I love seeing good local restaurants survive and do well, so if I can convince even one more table to give a place I love a shot, mission accomplished. We live down in Laguna now, so unfortunately we don't get up to Seal Beach nearly as often anymore, but O'Malley's is still one of those places we'll make the drive back to for a special occasion. Six years later and it's still one of the places I genuinely miss from living on Main Street. Huge crispy fish & chips, insanely good fries, loaded potato skins, legit Irish food, great staff, great atmosphere, super kid friendly, and a local place I'm always happy to send more business to. Definitely still one of our favorites.

I'm a sucker for a good benedict, so I ordered their Irish Benedict, which is made with corned beef. This thing was loaded! It was so much food that I took about half home as leftovers. The corned beef was tender and juicy and went well with the hollandaise. I like a little more hollandaise on my benedicts, but that's personal preference. I had a tea with my meal, which was ok. I hoped that an Irish establishment would be better at handling tea than American places are, but I also understand it's a bar and most people aren't coming here to order a hot tea. There was a soccer game on when I arrived and the place was packed, but it cleared out pretty quickly once the game ended. This is a lively pub, not somewhere to come if you're looking for a quiet ambiance. That's not a bad thing, but I've noticed a few people mentioning it with surprise in other reviews so I'm pointing it out to help other people make choices in line with the type of dining experience they want to have. I personally didn't find the noise of the sports or sports fans overwhelming, and felt it added to the vibe of the place. I had one small issue while I was there and the manager was quick to make it right. I really appreciated their responsiveness and eagerness to make sure their customers are well taken care of. I will definitely be back thanks to this!

Impeccable hearing, I'd say, because it was loud in there. I ordered an IPA with fish and chips. He gave me a number, which I was grateful for to ensure they'd find me outside. I sat outside with my fiancé, and we enjoyed our time people watching. Although they were extremely busy, our food came out within 10 - 15 minutes. The fish was very good; it was crispy and flaky. I really have no complaints on this place and I think that what they do to get people's names on the wall for drinking 70 different beers from all around the world is really cool. I might have to try it one day. Thanks to all the people at Murphy's for putting on a great St. Patrick's Day for this fan. Oh, and by the way, they make such good popcorn. I used to have it at a different bar as a kid and then brought me back to those days.
