Clean and well kept place. Friendly and easy service here. Food was great. The crinkle fries were so awesome.

Great place, I've been here 10 times and have never been disappointed. Donuts are great and they have a decent lunch menu. They have a very cozy outdoor seating area that is heated and very welcoming to dogs.

Walked here on a hot Sunday afternoon. Didn't expect much because I like simple donuts. But this place had a great assortment of flavors and kinds. I was happy to just see they had regular glazed and of course the kids loved the other fun options. They also sell other foods like fries and snacks. We got a half dozen and sat outside! Very friendly staff and quick service.

Stopped in to this spot on Calhoun Street across from Marion Square for breakfast. They have indoor and outdoor seating, friendly counter service, and an interesting selection of donuts. I ordered a coffee, a bread pudding donut, and a Jalapeño kolache. The bread pudding donut was more of a mini-Bundt cake but was delicious. The coffee was good and the kolache was tasty. Solid pick for breakfast.

We come to Charleston a few times a year to visit family and this was a new spot for us! It was great to take our daughters for a fun morning outing for donuts, breakfast sandwiches, kollaches, and coffee! The service was kind and helpful and the ambiance was cute, clean and inviting! We loved our donuts and even got a handful to bring back for our family to try. We will definitely return on a future trip and will recommend to other friends who live here or who are visiting.

One of the BEST burgers I've had!! SOOOO tasty , great crust on the burger, I would say perfect burger overall The crinkle cut fries were amazing ! Mind you , we ordered to go , so I can only imagine eating it at the restaurant. We were fortunate enough to get one of their donuts but not the specialty ones since we went late in the day. Get the Dad Burger !! We will be back whenever in town!

This place is pretty cool. Wasn't busy but the trucker vibe I was getting from the guy up front along with his uniform is what I'm am living for. Super friendly. Place was clean and they have free WI-FI. I'm sold. Will def come back next time I'm downtown.

After leaving the beach during my mom's visit, we didn't see any lunch spots we really wanted to try, so we ended up heading downtown and trying Hero. I'd read about this place and thought, how can you go wrong with donuts and buns? You can't!!! Since we were hangry by this point in the day, I figured the burgers were going to be gigantic so we ordered one to share with a side of ranch cheese fries. My picture does make it look big, but that's because of the angle. The burger was falling out of that side of the bun and wasn't viewable on the other. Once we got it situated and cut in half, there was not a good bun to meat ratio. It was good. We just realized we shouldn't have opted to share!!! Same with the fries. Ranch dressing and cheese sauce soaked fries. Awesome. But there was about 15 fries. We had all of this liquid goodness left over and no more fries. For $6 I wanted more!!! Since we weren't full, we got two donuts. An Apple fritter and pistachio donut to go. The Apple fritter was amazing!! I'd go back for more of those right now. The pistachio was super sweet. Good but really sweet. I'd definitely go again. PRO TIP don't share!! ;-)

Decided to check out Hero for a quick snack. There were No gluten free option for pastries so my partner had to leave empty handed. I got one of the blueberry donuts to go and the service was ultra fast. Donut was good but felt on the smaller size of things , should have gotten 2 Hoping to see gluten free options In the menu someday

So good we had to make two stops here during the vacation. Food: I honestly forget which donuts we got (this was 5 months ago), but it was definitely good for all of them. I believe I had a maple bacon that was outstanding and a key lime pie which was amazingly balanced between the tart and sweet. Aesthetic: if I went to college, I would look to just get a small treat and have it while working on some stuff here. Service: the people both times were solid, made great recommendations.

This is the perfect place to stop if you've just spent some time wandering around the farmers market with you family. The location is prime, and they have tons of seating inside. Super clean and colorful interior! Great place to take kids, as they have something for everyone on their menu. We ordered two burgers and one classic doughnut. The burgers were so flavorful and tasted really fresh. Their signature sauce was incredible and reminded me of Shake Shack's sauce. The bun tasted homemade, and was absolutely delicious! My only complaint is that the serving size wasn't very large, but I think the price reflected the size. I loved the doughnut, and it came at a pretty good price point as well. Definitely stop here for a mid-day pick me up, or for a fun dinner with friends! They serve alcohol and had some fun drink menu items like an Aperol Spritz.

This place is super yum. I can't speak to anything but the donuts but wow. Perfectly fried. Light airy with a slightly crisp outside. Soft chewy inside. And the filled donuts. So good! Even the fresh squeezed oj was spot on. Will go again !

We ordered a deluxe burger and a crust burger with curly fries. Both burgers were super good and juicy, and served piping hot and came out quick! The curly fries were a good choice too. The meat is well seasoned and they don't skimp you on the toppings. The service was really friendly also. The menus didn't offer an explanation of what everything was, so I had to ask. They have lots of sauces to choose from for your burger, so that's fun. I also think it's slightly pricey for getting just a burger with no fries, but maybe that's just me. I'll be back though, it was delicious!

If you're getting food, definitely try the blistered green beans, poutine, and the farmer's salad (which is like a Cobb salad/bowl, it's amazing) *but* my all-time fave is the fried chicken sandwich - it's honestly one of the best l've ever had in Charleston. Also, this place is huge so they were able to accommodate my friend's post-wedding party (about 20 people) at the last minute and we had a blast. Everywhere else we tried to go either didn't have the space for us or were closing so it totally made our night! We just made sure to call ahead to check and they were more than happy to have us - the bride was happy so you know it was good :) Bottom line, the Peacock is a local gem hidden in plain sight on East Bay and, as a local, it's become one of my top go-to's in Charleston. You can't beat the prices (seriously), ambience, quality, and awesome staff. They also have live music every week so they know how to keep it classy and lively at the same time. The food at the surrounding tables looked equally incredible; I'd especially recommend the cheese plate and the tuna. As a bonus, there's a nightclub on the second floor that gets lively on weekends, so the fun doesn't have to stop after dinner. This time around I was dining with friends, which meant we got to order a whole bunch of dishes - a foodie's dream. We started with the Hunter Cattle Beef Tartare, topped with shoestring potatoes, smoked cheddar, and egg yolk jam. It was rich, flavorful, and while the presentation looked a bit like dog food, it was otherwise the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the table, we also shared the Roasted Carrots, served with chamomile honey, labneh, puffed rice, candied peanuts, and an olive crumble. I know, carrots aren't always a "must-order," but trust me - they were fantastic. We also couldn't pass up the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread with Broadbent bacon crumble mixed throughout. Southern comfort food!!! For my entree, I ordered the Blueberry & Corn Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. Between the BBQ pecans, ricotta salata, bacon fat honey mustard, and fresh seasonal ingredients, every bite was packed with flavor. One friend ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with compressed cantaloupe, marigold, and leche de tigre. It was bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated. Our other friend opted for the South Carolina Golden Tilefish, served with Kindlewood Farms summer squash and serrano, and it, too, was a hit. For drinks, one friend enjoyed a glass of wine while I ordered the Dragoon Punch. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to learn my beloved Primrose Path was no longer on the menu. I even asked if they could make one, but unfortunately they were missing one of the ingredients. No worries, the Dragoon Punch was delicious and a worthy replacement. Our server, Tal H., was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, informative, and guided us through the ever-changing menu with ease. Even though the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed. Husk continues to be worth the reservation. I'd happily dine here again... and again... and ag

The scallops and pork chop were some of the best we've had. The only slightly disappointing dish was the corn bread which was on the more dry side, however the collards more than made up for it. The only downside to this restaurant were the flies, I felt like I was battling both large and fruit flies my entire meal. There were so many. We were inside so I'm not sure where they were coming from. Would've been 5 stars had it not been for this.

Everyone just fits in, no matter if you're the black sheep! Seating is a little limited, but worth the wait. I guess the first person I ran into was a manager, he introduced himself, (legit, "Hi my name is Bryan" and shook my hand!) (Post Script, the handshake is pervasive here, literally both bartenders were introduced to me and both came up and shook my hand.) I had checked this place out from other Yelp reviews and already knew I wanted the Fish and Chips, so after my beer order, I was shocked and awed that without asking, he brought the Malt Vinegar! You know it's gonna be the bomb already! The fish arrived very quickly! Bruh...this fish was legit. A large solo iceberg of fried perfection crested upon a wave of fresh made "chips " and they were clearly fresh made, not the frozen variety. The beer batter on this fish was so good I was in heaven. I thought it might be heavy and greasy, and yet somehow it held only flavor, crunch, and absorbed my Malt Vinegar to perfection. This place is packed with regulars and it clearly seems to attract other service industries personnel. All good signs of a good time! This may have been my first visit, but won't be my last!
