Hibachi Boss is in a tiny little center about 5 minutes from my house. I had no idea it was there because there are no signs, it's inside a place that says PIZZA outside. The only reason I even found out about it, was I was checking to see my husband's ETA the other night and he was driving by there, it has an icon on Google Maps. I immediately looked them up and decided I needed to try it. I ordered on their website and it said roughly 20 minutes. I showed up on time and they were just finishing the noodles, I didn't wait for more than 3 minutes. The interior is not appealing at all, it's definitely a takeout place. All the pizza menus on the wall look super old, do they even make pizza? Kind of a strange setup. But, the food is what matters, right? For $45 I got their NY Steak & Shrimp plate, had an up-charge for fried rice instead of steamed, I paid for ginger sauce on the side (52 cents, and they gave me 3 containers), and an order of garlic noodles. I am not joking, the bag weighed at least 5 lbs, they give you SO much food! The pics I took were AFTER we took bites of noodles, steak, rice, and shrimp, so there was even more to this massive meal. I had ordered it just for myself since my husband was going out, I figured i'd have leftovers, but this would have been enough for both of us PLUS leftovers. Delicious! Very tender, flavorful steak, yummy shrimp (even better dunked in the ginger sauce), loads of moist fried rice, and lots of zucchini, onions, carrots, and broccoli. I think my only gripe would be that the broccoli and carrots were undercooked, I could have done without them. The garlic noodles were light on the garlic flavor and not too greasy. I am so happy I happened to check my husband's location when I did, cause I don't think I would have ever known about this place. He said he definitely wants it again, I want to try their chicken and filet. They also have salmon, lobster, and scallops. Everything is pricey, but with the portions they give you, it's worth it if you want Hibachi food without going to a sit down restaurant. read more

so i was hungry after work. boy did i come to the wrong place. first off im a huge germ a phobe. guy was cleaning the grill with gloves, then used the same gloves to put my veggies and scallops on the grill. didnt change gloves or wash his hands. then goes and touches other surfaces. ew? cross contamination. really not happy about this. all food places need a class on food safety. wash your hands! its not that hard! gloves were greasey and gross. i def dont want food poisoning over lazy worker. im not getting sick. i wasted $40. good luck! read more

I was really craving hibachi style food tonight but wasn't really up to going to a restaurant and sitting through an hour long dinner, so I did a quick search on yelp and was so surprised to find this place! It was less than 10 minutes from my house and I never even knew it was there! I was so impressed, the food was fantastic. I had a New York steak bowl and there was enough food for two meals. The steak had a great taste and was seasoned perfectly, the fried rice was my favorite part and it did not disappoint. My bowl also had some vegetables and they were great as well. The place was a little bit hard to find, it's located inside of a pizza place which was unexpected but super convenient (the pizzas looked and smelled delicious as well) It's a small place, only a couple tables, it's a little bit older but very clean. My food was made fresh and was piping hot. I actually drove home (about 10 minutes away) and it was still steaming hot by the time I got home. Can't wait to go back! read more

The best hibachi spot! I get the trio combo with steak, chicken and shrimp. The fried rice is awesome and the meats are perfectly seasoned. The service is also amazing. They are welcoming, kind and value customer service. The spot itself is a bit hidden but it is connected to the pizza place and next to the barber shop. Chef AD knocked it out the park for my bday! He's attentive very great communicator and aside from that a great cook. He's energy was engaging. He let us know a little about himself, the way he created he's sauces and just the way he put love into his food/cooking. Will definitely get him for another party. Amazing food and service! This place is inside the pizza shop and as soon as you go in you'll see the menu. The food was prepared fresh and the quality was great. We got a trio plate with fried rice, steak, shrimp and chicken. The steak was cooked medium well and everything was very flavorful. Almost passed it, but hidden in a little pizza shop is a gem. Everything was cooked on the spot and so fresh. I had steak plate, while my husband had shrimp/steak combo. Steak was cooked medium rare and melted like butter. No knife needed. My husband raved about the hot sauce the chef brought out. This place maybe a small hole in the wall, but the food is amazing. This place is literally a hidden gem, decided to try it out as a last minute food spot literally down the corner from where we live and we're not disappointed in the slightest. It took a minute to find it because it's inside the pizza shop in the small lot and all you see is a small light up sign but once in ordered the filet mignon with a calzone and the food was absolute fire. Both a solid rating of 8.5/10 and 9/10. The meat soft juicy tender cooked perfectly vegetables flavorful. The sauces complimented it all so well. Found this place on a whim and so glad I did. The food (chef's kiss), the price (chef's kiss), the location (selfishly chef's kiss). I usually go out of the way for another Hibachi take out place, but recently they raised their prices a lot. I understand inflation, but my golly, a one item entree (chicken) with fried rice should not be 40 bucks a head. That is why I am glad I found Hibachi Boss. This place is the definition of a hidden gem. It's a but hard to find but its in the store named "pizza" since they are fairly new. Great owner with a great story. Best hibachi place in the OC/LA/Orange area in my opinion. They make everything fresh here with fresh whole pieces of meat so the quality is unquestionable. Portions are crazy good.
