For Christmas, the meals cost about $10 extra but it's totally worth it! It includes snow crabs and they just kept bringing it out. These guys have been around a long long time and they were still fairly busy when we came in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. 2 lunches and 2 sodas set us back about $33 which honestly is super affordable given the rise in cost for everything. When I arrived, I told the woman at the front (who I believe is the owner) that my child is under 2. We were asked to pay before being seated, and I paid as usual. After paying, I checked the receipt -- and noticed that I was charged for my child's meal, even though I had already mentioned their age. I politely pointed this out, thinking it was just a mistake. To my surprise, the woman became visibly upset and raised her voice at me in front of other waiting customers. She claimed that I shouldn't have said "under 2," and insisted that this phrase doesn't mean "younger than 2." which is absolutely incorrect in standard English. Her aggressive reaction and lecturing tone made it seem like I had done something wrong, which was embarrassing and uncalled for. This was not my first time visiting, but it was the first time I checked the receipt -- and I'm glad I did. I used to come here with my extended Chinese family many a time. The food is pretty good. However, I'm never going back after what happened tonight and they don't deserve the 1 star required on Yelp reviews. I have a high sensitivity to sesame seeds where if my lips touch sesame seeds, my lips will swell up. Some sushi is made with sesame seeds. I've never had an issue where I show the sushi chef on duty a brand new sealed package of chopsticks from their restaurant utensil rack so I can pick up the sushi that has no sesame seeds. These chopsticks are never used on the line again and never touch my lips. Tonight, two Chinese staff members had a beef with me over this. Yelling at me in Cantonese is not a constructive action. I had enough and asked for my money back from the lady at the register. Confusingly, the woman offered to get me a fork (???) so I would stay. By then, I was hangry and annoyed. Took my money and left. The beauty of an AYCE buffet is that you can choose what to eat. I already knew what I could eat and what I couldn't.
