Honestly, extremely disappointed with our experience. A lot of the food tasted old, stale, and just plain gross. To make matters worse, we actually found a metal shaving in our food, which is completely unacceptable and honestly very concerning. I will say that the sushi actually tasted pretty decent, so that was one of the few positives from the meal. Management also did refund us for one of the meals, which I appreciate and give them credit for addressing. However, finding a metal shaving in food and being served food that tasted old is not something that should happen in the first place. The food was great. Came here on a Saturday during lunch. We were sat quickly. The table was a bit small for four people considering all our plates and drinks but not a big deal. The service was great and our plates were cleared pretty quickly. The food? It was so good. There was a huge variety of items and they were consistently replenished. There was a sushi and sashimi bar that had soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. There was a hibachi section with proteins, veggies, noodles and rice. I had a little bit of everything and left so full. Nice variety of sushi, hibachi station, extensive buffet with turbot (nice and light), salmon (a little overcooked for me), ribs, grilled beef, shrimp, and a variety of your traditional Chinese items. I liked the eggplant dish and the bok choy very much. Several cakes for dessert and a soft ice cream dispenser. The soft ice cream (I had chocolate) was delightfully creamy Nd chocolaty. There's also a variety of fresh fruit and a chocolate fountain where you can dip your fruit or marshmallows. I enjoyed the meal. The service was decent, but not remarkable. The restaurant is large and comfortable. I'll come again. The dinner I think is $17.99 midweek and $18.99 on weekends. There's a sign saying there are more seafood and beef items at dinner. For Christmas, the meals cost about $10 extra but it's totally worth it! It includes snow crabs and they just kept bringing it out. A lot of people waited and took a lot but to be honest it was coming out so fast there's plenty to share for everyone! It was also not salty which is nice. Very fresh and very big! I've been to this restaurant many times before and never had any issues -- until last time I visited. Their sign states that children under 2 eat free. When I arrived, I told the woman at the front (who I believe is the owner) that my child is under 2. We were asked to pay before being seated, and I paid as usual. After paying, I checked the receipt -- and noticed that I was charged for my child's meal, even though I had already mentioned their age. I politely pointed this out, thinking it was just a mistake. To my surprise, the woman became visibly upset and raised her voice at me in front of other waiting customers. She claimed that I shouldn't have said "under 2," and insisted that this phrase doesn't mean "younger than 2." which is absolutely incorrect in standard English. Her aggressive reaction and lecturing tone made it seem like I had done something wrong, which was embarrassing and uncalled for. For this kind of establishment, they are easily above average. Firstly, their selection is much better than almost any place I have seen before. The food includes some of the following: a large salad bar, a large fruit selection, several types of sushi, sesame chicken, beef with broccoli, dumplings, fried chicken, chicken with string beans, fried rice, fried noodles, beef with mushrooms, and more. Their seafood section is huge too and includes shrimp, oysters, lobster, shrimp, prawns, and more. They have a dessert section with several kinds of cake and even an ice cream machine. They even have non-Asian stuff like pizza and garlic bread. And they have very traditional dim sum items that most of these buffets would never offer: egg tarts, Cantonese banana leaf wraps, sesame balls, etc. The only thing to criticize about this place is that some of the food is not the freshest.
