    Very inexpensive for a buffet.

I like a good Chinese Buffet and this one was the only one in the area. I was hoping they improved since the last post. Nope. Almost all the Food was luke warm. I was flying out of town that night. Fortunately i did not get sick. Food was not being replaced when it was out or scraps and sauce were left at the bottom of the pan. Very disappointing.

    Empty! For over an hour!

They are closed for good. Just kept getting worse. It always had folks in there. The large families coming in letting therr children at the buffet was really sicking, children using there hands to get food off yhey bar. Putting food back on the serving area.

Decent enough for a Chinese buffet though the Chinese stuff on the line was drenched in sauce or you were digging through vegetables to get to the meats. Lots of non-Chinese stuff up there for the folks who prefer lasagna, roast beef, sausages or cheese pizza. A reasonable sushi table though most of the maki rolls were either fried or loaded in sauces. The nigiri included salmon, tuna, shrimp and crab stick but these were not restocked while I was there. The rice was a bit dried out, which is the usual experience with a Chinese place that tries to do sushi. The chocolate fountain was interesting. And there was self-serve ice cream.

So much good food! This place has everything! They have of course the normal Asian buffet foods plus some things I've never seen before at any other buffets, plus a Hibatchi Station and a Sushi station and don't forget about the huge chocolate fountain! Even my Sprite tasted extra good today! For the families that have that one picky person, there is a station just for American food. Oh and of course they have pizza. What buffet doesn't? :) The staff was great. Everything on the bar was full and hot and fresh. The sushi chef was spot on! Had to tip the Hibatchi chef. My fav!!! If you've never tried this place you don't know what you're missing!!

We stopped here while on a business trip. It's definitely a good place to grab lunch at a reasonable price. Especially if you are with a lot of people or people who want different things! I was surprised by how many options they had. There were multiple hot food bars, a sushi bar, a cold food bar as well as desserts. My favorite was the hibachi station. Here you can fill your plate with a number of different options on a buttet style line, from noodles and meats to veggies and sauces. They cook it on a large grill in front of you. (a sped up version of a traditional hibachi experience) I really liked the cook that was there, he was nice and remembered my preferences when I went up. I was also able to customize my meal per my dietary preferences which was nice. The rest of the food was good, what you would expect from Asian buffet restaurant. The main appeal was the options offered. It was also about $10 for lunch and included a soda. This is the type of restaurant where you pay at the entrance and help yourself. There are staff around filling drinks and clearing plates, but they are not engaged in the traditional server role.

Checking this place out next weekend. What's the best time to go when trying to avoid a crowd?

This is probably the best buffet in the Nashville area. More items than anywhere else and most of the stuff is very good. My favorite way to eat there is to load up a plate and hand it to the grill man. The best time ? Eleven o'clock AM, or Three PM

YIKES!!! Not many places have worse food than Jumbo Buffet, but NOBODY has worse service!…read more I stopped by for lunch and asked for one buffet with a water. Simple, right? I know, I know, going to a Chinese buffet in Madison is asking for it, or going to just about any Chinese buffet for that matter. But I was in the mood for quantity. Various items that should be hot were lukewarm, there was at least one insect (still moving) in one of the sauces, and some of the seafood was downright disturbing. But this was only the tip of the iceberg my friends. I received a glass of water and downed that in the first five minutes. I usually need 4-6 glasses of water to make it through a Chinese buffet. But the waitress never came back. It was the first time I've ever gone to a restaurant in my lifetime where the server failed to ever return to the table!!! In fact, no servers were ever visible in the restaurant for the 30 minutes I was there and I was so thirsty I painfully choked my way through the meal. There was no one to flag down for more liquid! Even worse, they charged me for a soft drink. But that's not all... I swiped my credit card and penciled in a meager $1 tip for terrible service. But Jumbo Buffet made up for my frugal ways by illegally charging $50 to my credit card! I reported them to the BBB, but because I didn't save my receipt and only discovered the overcharge two weeks later, they said there was nothing that could be done. Could a restaurant experience be any worse than this???

That…read morecertainly isn't to say that Jumbo Buffet doesn't offer some pretty delicious food--it's just the all-you-can-eat that draws me in. Jumbo is located in a shopping center in Madison just north of Madison. It's only about a ten or fifteen minute drive for most East Siders, and if you go on an empty stomach, you'll certainly find it's worth the drive. The staff is sometimes friendly and sometimes a bit cold, but the owners' son (who I like to call Spider-man due to his wide assortment of Spidey toys and clothes) is always a hoot. The buffet offers traditional items like sweet and sour chicken and fried dumplings as well as fresh fruit and (semi-fresh) sushi. My personal favorite is the crab legs, which I typically devour like a maniac upon every visit. The buffet is relatively inexpensive, and the dining area is usually pretty empty, leaving you to enjoy your dinner in peace. Jumbo also has a pretty cool fountain, some elaborate chandeliers and plenty of quarter toy machines for the kiddies. It's a pretty good little spot for the family. Jumbo certainly isn't the finest Chinese joint in the area, but if you're itching for as much chicken and lo mein as you can stomach, this is the place for you.

The interior was really neat, I couldn't figure out what was here before or if this was an original build...but the rocks, brick, and wood was cozy. It had the vibes of a bathhouse but this could have easily been a bbq or pizza joint in the past...or neither...or both. I have no idea but I loved how unique it was. Our waitress was calm and quiet, I don't know if she wanted to be there but she was attentive and nice. We went at 11:30am on Memorial Day right after they opened. It was an all-day dinner menu due to the holiday which was fine by us. It is $29.95/pp for the dinner menu. There were a lot of booths already taken but the restaurant wasn't super busy. When ordering, you tell your waiter what you want each round. We never had any issues with waiting for ours to come back to order more food and our drinks were always filled. For all you can eat sushi, this was pretty decent and the fish was fresh. The kitchen menu items were okay. The gyoza was really good and the pad Thai was alright, very mediocre but still good, just not authentic (I've never seen lemon with pad Thai, only lime). My husband ordered the hibachi chicken and it only came with chicken, no rice. The miso soup was flavorless. For the sushi, everything we had was really good and I especially enjoyed the Pac-Man roll and the Out of Control roll. Do beware that most of the rolls at Sushi Kingdom come with cream cheese, which I feel most AYCE sushi places add this abomination to their rolls. However, we enjoyed all of our rolls even if some had cream cheese. Their sashimi came in large slices so that was really nice! You get 10 pieces of sashimi per person, any more than that and it's $1 up-charge per order. Overall, Sushi Kingdom is pretty solid if you're looking more for quantity over quality. If we weren't 40 minutes away, I'd consider coming back. Food- 7/10 Service- 10/10
