Came here for dinner with my daughter. We came in to sit down and eat. But first you order with the cashier, the two young ladies there when I came in were sweet and welcoming. I ordered the popcorn chicken and fried rice; my daughter got the Pad Thai. The dishes were on point. But most of all, I loved the service. I actually almost left my purse in the restaurant, and the young lady helping us came running out to hand me my purse. Talk about great service! Loved that they opened another Hiccups! The one on Willow is really small. Other location near traffic circle closed. Friendly staff. Food is good like I remembered it from the old location. Will need to return to make a more comprehensive review but we stumbled across this place on a target run and really wanted something to drink. Their iced viet is strong (in a good way) and I really enjoyed my Pink Flamingo. It was refreshing on a hot day and infused with fruits and jelly. Can't wait to come back to try the food read more

I just ordered two chicken fried rice via Uber Eats and it was essentially inedible. It was the saltiest dish I have ever eaten. There was a salt rock in the food. Owner said it was the "Fried Rice Seasoning" and offered to re-do it and dissolve it better. So gross never again they can keep the money... Adios Hiccups! read more

This used to be my all-time favorite spot in college. The best dish was the garlic noodles with shaken beef. I would always brag about how great the noodles were. The last time I came here, the garlic noodles were just regular spaghetti noodles with barely any garlic taste and the beef was way overcooked. Very disappointed with the last experience. I'm hoping it was just a one-off thing and maybe they ran out of the normal chow-mein noodles they used to use. read more

Great study spot, fast wifi, and comfortable chairs -- great for solo or group study sessions. Drinks taste great and come out fast -- everytime I order a drink, it comes out in less than 2 minutes and sometimes the owner upgrades the size to a large! The food here is also really good, good prices and portions. Employees here are really nice and there's always some deals on their food/drinks which make this place even more awesome. I've probably sunk like 200 hours here studying for the MCAT and they've never disappointed me. read more

For a while they had a well made drinks menu, and paired with their food it's just a great eating experience. Pho was rich in flavor, the broth had good clarity, and it came with the correct toppings. This is one of the better bowls of pho you can get in Long Beach and its unexpected coming from a boba shop. Don't skimp on their garlic noodles. Ask questions about your beverage, sometimes it runs a little too sweet, but its all made to order and refreshing. read more

Soooo... it's my first time here today 3/17/25 afternoon. I ordered Thai tea and Cajun fries. Came out to be $15.55 I gave the young girl $16. I know I did. A bunch of singles. She then ask "Do you have $0.55 (fifty-five cents)? I said no. Not realizing why she was asking I thought she wanted exact change. So I said no. Then it dawned on me and I asked "Why, am I short or something?" She goes "Yeah, just 55 cents" In my head not thinking too much about it, I told her "no I don't" so I gave her another dollar to cover the $0.55. I could've sworn I already gave her enough. She then gives me one quarter in change. I knew right away something wasn't right. She gave me the wrong change and it made me question if she counted my initial payment correctly. The owner was at the register and told him what happened. The girl who cashed me out was next to him but didn't say anything. She was young and possibly new so I think she made an honest mistake. The owner tried to give me $0.22 (two dimes) back to cover the difference. He ultimately asked how much I paid in total and I said $17. So he tried to give me a dollar back. I said "you know what, just put it in the tip jar" I told the guy there's no way to count the singles now, which I should've had her count before closing the register. She already stuffed my payment into the register before we could re-count it. Note to self, make sure you have the cashier count your cash, before she they tell you you're short. A lesson on my end. The owner did try to give me the $1 back but I let it go because it was petty. I told him to put it in the tip jar. I just wanted to make sure he knew what was going on, possibly train the staff more. It wasn't just about the $1 but it was knowing I got played. I also realized when I got home that the cashier said a to-go Cajun French fries for the amount I paid would come in a big white to-go box which she showed me at the restaurant when I asked but instead got a tiny brown box and didn't get to call it out because I got distracted and forgot all about it. It was quite expensive for a small amount of fries in a tiny brown box. At that time I can tell the girl was new because she didn't know the portion of the food. Weird encounter overall. read more

My new go-to boba spot! Right across the street from CSULB, super convenient for students. Andy usually helps me out and he's always super friendly and chill. I have to shout out the tofu; it's hard to get right, but they absolutely nail it here. I always order the extra crispy tofu with spices; the pieces are big, perfectly seasoned, and never soggy. Upon arriving the employee in the front was very helpful and I ended up ordering the pho dip, grilled pork sandwich, and the vermicelli salad, which took about 10-15 minutes. Overall, the food is great. The salad and pork sandwich were flavorful; we especially enjoyed the bread used for the sandwich. The reason for the 3 stars is that the dip for the pho dip was not included in our order. I did not notice this until I already got home. We were really looking forward to this sandwich and although the pho dip itself was good, it definitely was missing flavor without the dip and fell short. Additionally, we tried to call the restaurant but their number is also out of service. A bit disappointed for our first time, but we would still like to return to try other items.

When neither of us feels like cooking, the decision has already been made before either of us says a word: Rim Talay time! Their Pad See Ew is hands-down one of our favorite comfort meals in Long Beach, the Khao Soi is rich, deeply flavorful, and something we find ourselves craving regularly, and the mango sticky rice is a non-negotiable. My boyfriend usually hates 99% of mango sticky rice dishes, but he loves their recipe! We've tried plenty of Thai restaurants over the years, but Rim Talay keeps pulling us back. Beyond the food, what makes Rim Talay so special is the people behind it. It's family-owned and operated by the Paiboolsilp/Takaeo family, and you can genuinely feel the care they put into both the food and the hospitality. Supporting a local family business that consistently delivers this level of quality just feels good. Instead of lying to my face, just tell me, you don't have any, or I don't deserve to have anything I would like to order; just accept what I give you. (strike 2). The third and final strike was when a couple enters and asks her if they could dine in with their very furry, but admittedly adorable dog. She tells them yes. We were not the only ones shocked. She never bothered to ask any of us patrons if we were okay with it. Personally, I DO NOT like animal fur with my meals. I have and love dogs, but sometimes they just need to be left at home. At any rate, wifey and I asked for the check to pay for our fake curry puffs and left. NOPE, would not recommend this place.

My first guess was boiled corn water... heck maybe the broth had some of the water they used to boil edamame. My husband's black garlic didn't taste like broth either, just bonito flavor and toasted garlic taste.
