Heading home now, from work trip with my hubby. Hickory Dallas-Fy Worth Airport Bartender and Server: Carlos, he made an amazing Dirty Martini. So much peppers for the Bloody Mary. Recommend a good breakfast. Bloody Mary - Extra Spicy Dirty Martini - Extra Dirty Ranch Hardy Breakfast Two eggs soft scramble, Spicy Saugage, and Whole Wheat Toast with butter. You must stop by before your flights.

Gluten-free options! Had the smoked chicken tacos with the sweet potato fries, perfect amount and tasty. Servers were great, low-key but friendly and the atmosphere was peaceful but also energetic (TVs to watch, people watching). A good lunch on a busy travel day.

Couldn't finish eating my food the tacos that I got brisket tacos with sweet potato fries were disgusting. And cold had a couple of bites and I had to stop eating.

Very, very good. Not a huge menu but plenty to choose from. Good was served quickly and it was hot.

Not only was the food awesome - brisket tacos and sweet potato fries - but the service!!! Nyk is outstanding!!! Checked my flight time to make sure I wasn't late and was just a pleasure! I'll make sure I stop back next time I'm in terminal B at DFW!

Order the Hickory burger. It's actually quite tasty. The hamburger here was pretty good despite the lackluster appearance. It was fresh and had really good flavor. The fries are lame so chose something else. The waiters are considerate too if you are crunched on time and put in a rush to your orders. A plus is if you sit on the borders there are outlets for you to charge your stuff.

Came here for lunch while I was at DFW airport! I'm not quite sure if this is considered legit Texas BBQ, but I personally liked the food and didn't find it to be too heavy. I ordered the beef brisket plate and it came with two slices of brisket, BBQ sauce and a side salad. I added some fries as well, plus a drink. It all added up to around $30, which is quite reasonably priced for airport food (at least compared to California!). The service was great, as my waiter even brought me a different type of BBQ sauce to try and anticipated my drink refills before I even got a chance to ask for one! I only wish there had been more meat included in the plate. Otherwise, I would eat here again!

Best part of my visit was my bartender/server, Amanda (May the Dick's Last Resort dream come true). She was friendly, fun and on top of all of her customers/tables. A++++ for Amanda!! Onto the food. The pulled pork quesadilla was tasty and the meat was amazingly tender. The potato salad, however, was boring and bland. Couldn't even make it better with salt and pepper. For being in the Dallas airport Overall experience, pretty darn good!

I got 3 smoked chicken tacos - $20ish, and worth less than $1.00!!! You get three corn tortillas that taste like nothing and some coleslaw less the mayo, and for the Smoked Chicken, non-existent!! Literally a few shreds of some sort of chicken ( not smoked ) perhaps 1/2 a teaspoon per said Taco !!! One of the worst meals I have had in 40 years of endless travel - AVOID at all costs !! They should be ashamed and banned !

It's December now so I'm qualified to say that -- picking this restaurant for dinner is the worst decision I have ever made this year. The service is ok except for my water wasnt getting refilled at all, atmoaphere is typical, and the food, what food? I only paid $30 for sitting here charging my phone.

The Beef Brisket is Seasoned, Smoked, and Delicious. The service is swift and attentive. Beef Brisket is the king of Texas BBQ. Its smoke and flavor driven meat with sauce on the side. My pepper crusted Brisket waa delicious and perfect. My friend's quesadilla was good as well. We were steered to the sweet potato fries and the regular fries, which were good. We also both had iced tea, fresh brewed, and free refills.

    Thanks Andrea!

I had just run across the DFW airport to catch a flight that I just missed. #notarunner. I stopped by to grab a bite since I had 6 hours to burn but was struggling to breath and felt sick. Andrea W was so sweet and took such good care of me. She brought me water until I could recover and checked on me multiple times to make sure I was ok and kept me supplied with water. The grilled cheese was yummy if you like grilled cheese and tomato (which I do!) and the fries were tasty too. Highly recommend due to the awesome customer service and will be back next time I'm in DFW.

After getting inside I could tell why. The BBQ smell hits you as you open the door and it smelled sooooo good. They had a giant menu written onto the wall. Some of the meats were sold out. We debated for a bit and then decided to do a group order. Our Group of 7 people ordered the Cattleleack Platter and sides of burnt end beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and Mac and cheese. Oh and don't forget to ask for cornbread too. Inside tey had large tables and benches to sit at and we secured our spot. The food was delicous. The Beef Rib was huge and melted in my mouth. The brisket was amazing and seasoned well. Everything tasted great. Everyone ate til they were full and we still had leftovers. I ate them later at night and they were still good. This place is pricey, definitely worth a visit.

By the time the store opened, the line had grown to being over twenty parties long, so plan accordingly if you don't want to be waiting for a while. Between the four in our party, we shared a three meat BBQ plate with bacon burnt ends, brisket, and their house made sausage. For our two sides, we chose their hatch chile mac n cheese and their Mexican street corn. Following the recommendations of many Yelpers, we also ordered two of the brisket tostadas and two of the birria tacos. When we received our plate of meat, I was a bit surprised at how little of each meat there was on the plate, but in hindsight, this ended up being the perfect amount of food, where everyone was able to get a sample of everything. Of the items we ordered, my favorite was definitely the burnt ends. These were melt in your mouth tender, and was insanely rich and decadent. Each of the three pieces in our order had a beautiful bark on the outside that resulted in a satisfying crunch with every bite. The casing to the sausage was snappy and the sausage itself was very juicy. The brisket was fall apart tender. The brisket was a bit light on seasoning, so I ended up using the Aztec Gold BBQ sauce they had sitting at the table with it. The sides that we chose were both delicious. The pasta in the mac n cheese was cooked perfectly and the noodles was generously sauced. The elote was sweet and smokey, and the Cotija cheese added creaminess to the side. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hurtado Barbecue and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit if you're in Texas and are looking for great tasting BBQ.

Even though the playground is usually his favorite spot, he didn't hesitate & insisted we go to Kafi for the brisket. That pretty much sums up how my family feels about this place. We've tried plenty of BBQ spots around Texas, but Kafi keeps bringing us back. The brisket is consistently excellent, and you can tell they use the highest-quality ingredients because the flavor really speaks for itself. I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.
