While driving through the area I decided to search yelp for food. I am so glad I did. We would have never known it was there! Very friendly staff! Food came out fast and delicious. Kicking myself for not trying the chicken fried fries. Don't get me wrong The regular were amazing! The hubby ordered the sunrise and I ordered the cheeseburger. I have to say it was an amazing meal! You get a lot of food but we have been traveling all day so we were very hungry. The decor inside is gangster / mob from back in the day, hence the name "hideout". After reading some of the reviews I figured i would give this place a shot since it was Christmas Day. I ordered the double cheeseburger with fried pickles. The fried pickles where nasty and tasted like they were left over from the day before and the cheeseburger patties where over cooked and had no flavor to meat. I was very disappointed with the quality and we would have been better off cooking my our own burgers. If your new to this area I wouldn't recommend going to here! We went here last night. Honestly we hadn't been there in years and some of the negative reviews deterred us. Yes it is a hole in the wall type of place but it wasn't gross and it's a typical little burger joint. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and fries and my husband had the green Chile burger with onion rings. All were really good. Will definitely be going back. read more

Personally I don't get. A great burger, tastes homemade. But the place isn't the tidiest. Maybe I'm a germaphobe, but to me there's no reason why at lest the front door glass isn't kept clean. There were smudges in fact all over the front windows that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in awhile. To me not exactly the final impression you want to make in a place with otherwise really good food. I leave wondering what the kitchen looks like. Came to see the family and go to the pumpkin patch. Stopped by this little hideaway for lunch. The burgers were good and so were the fries. Some of the family had Philly cheesesteaks and said they were very good. The prices were very reasonable. The staff was very friendly. They really made the grandkids smile when they brought them out free ice cream cones!! read more

Never get a pre-cooked hamburger patty! They make the best burgers in town. They are a bit pricey but worth it. I get the Hawaiian burger. It has a slice of slightly grilled pineapple on it. I have them remove the onions. I would really like to have grilled onions but most places sauté the onions when you ask for grilled onions and they are just a slimy, gooey mess that ruins the whole burger. Whataburger is bad about that. Anyway that's the only change to all of there burgers when a customer asks for grilled onions. If there's no char on the edges they're not grilled properly. I've had other burgers on their menu and loved them all. Customer service is really good sometimes and other times not so good but the food is always good. I always let the manager on duty about any customer service issues. It may go in one ear and out the other. But, I also compliment the customer service when I felt it was exceptional. Well, I think think that should be enough to let u know how I feel. read more

Everyone loved their burgers. I got the Steak Burger which was advertised as "Thinly Sliced Ribeye" but what I got was more like rib-eye-crumbles. The flavor was delicious, but the logistics of getting it into my mouth was quite difficult. Wasn't my favorite meal, but it did have a great flavor. read more

This was our first visit. The burger patty was about 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch thick. I normally don't care for such a big patty but it was very juicy (yum) and I was hungry! My husband made the mistake of getting the double patty. He is a meat eater and it was even too big for him. He had to take one out about half way through. He loved it though. So, if you like a big thick juicy burger & have an appetite then try Hideout's burger. As for my onion rings, they fell short on flavor. I tried a couple of the hubby's chicken fried fries with gravy. They were ok but also lacked flavor. The hubby agreed. We both thought the fried pickles were good but we were disappointed with the ranch. It tasted like the store bought ranch out of a bottle which didn't seem to compliment the fried pickles. BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD. I've had dreams about this place. Super fast service, friendly staff and the food is always piping hot. A few weeks ago I had tried Hide Outs, and I couldn't get their burger out of my head. I use to be a vegetarian, so this is very rare. I end up driving to whataburger at 11pm (obviously Hideouts is closed) and I couldn't even finish the burger... I NEEDED a hideout burger. I got one the next day... and can't get enough. Oh my gosh, these are the BEST burgers. I am so glad we finally have a awesome burger place in Midlothian. The burger meat is about 1 inch thick. They have fresh cut fries and HUGE onion rings. I just wish they had a kids size burger on their kid's menu. If you are looking for a GREAT burger then it's worth the drive to Midlothian. If you like a good syrup-type soda they gottem' coming right out of the fountain there too. I'm in Burger Heaven! read more

We love this place! Very hidden (like the name implies) but so good! It's never very busy so you can order and get food quick. The guy that always works the front desk is always really nice and helpful. He even holds the front door open for us when we leave sometimes. read more

We have been here a few times and each time we have a great meal. The burgers are excellent and the employees are so friendly. We took another couple with us and they agreed that the burgers are really good. Steady stream of people here but I don't understand why they aren't even more crowded. Perhaps it's the location as they are at the end of a strip center way off the road. At any rate, you get great service and good burgers here. read more
