I love ordering pizzas from hi five. Now customers can conveniently order online and pay in advance. It was super easy to order the pizzas, and I was able to customize it based on my preference. When I arrived, I went straight to the pickup area. It was really nice to bypass the long line, since I already paid. All of my pizzas were ready and they were still hot. I appreciated how paper plates was offered, too. I ordered a Thai chicken pizza and it was delicious! There were tons of toppings and the crust was crispy. Overall, I highly recommend Hi five. We love coming to High Five Pizza because the flavor of the pizza's are always good! The crust of the pizza is thin (which I personally prefer it to be). The pizza's are always cooked on point with plenty of ingredients on top of it. I will be the judge of all this as I judge all pizza spots by their combo. I love this place, but the service has gone to the crapper. I placed an order like I usually do for take out. Usually never have a problem. The place is busy, and for good reason, I like their food. But I detest when I get a worker hangs up on me when I'm in the middle of my order. And that's literally what happened to me when I called and then I called back for more. Currently lowering my review of this place. My last visit was very bad to say the least. I called in to place an order, was out on hold and then was hung up on twice. We were really craving pizza so we called again a few minutes later and finally got our order through. The worker who picked up the phone was extremely rude; rushed us through the whole order and didn't repeat the order to us or give us the price. My husband went to pay and pick up the order. Turns out she didn't take our full order, we were missing fries and another appetizer. My husband asked the employee to add these things to the order, since the person who took the order over the phone did not get them originally. Instead of being friendly, the worker was very hostile and rude. Food was good as usual, but not as satisfying since the service was terrible. We will definitely wait for a while until returning. As for the COVID protocol there, we noticed large groups of people staying around the store many of them not wearing masks properly (or in general). Maybe the employees can let them know that they shouldn't loiter without their facial coverings. read more

I'm from south San Jose and this is like the pizza shop I think of when I think of south San Jose pizza. This place has so many tvs which is great for watching sports. On Wednesday, they have a special bbq menu, and i got the chicken pie. It's was just ok. It needed salt and other seasonings. Other in my group got the ribs, pork chops, and the NY strip. This spot is killer! With its cool summer, CA outside seating. The server was very friendly and attentive. Looking over the menu, I was pleased to see prices that looked fair. Was looking to get some pizza on a Monday night for the family. Found this gem via yelp reviews. We got the combo pizza with all the meats and veggies. It was delicious. They also thee in ranch as well. Pizza was 5/5. Slices are cut into very thin pieces and we got a large and there was around 14-16 slices. I'm giving this place 4 stars- I tried their "DEEP DISH PIZZA" it's not exactly deep dish actually it's not at all. It's a thicker crust instead of their thin crust style. I went with the ALL American which was loaded with toppings. The pepperoni was a nice and thick topping but the other ingredients I wasn't too impressed I would say average if anything. Not bad at all just was expecting more for a $30 pizza. The crust reminded me between a round table pan pizza and jakes of Willow glen minus the stone bottom crust. Actually I would go as far that and say it was spongy. The box had some weight too it but not like other large pizzas in the past. Cheese seems not as cheesy as I would like and the sauce was light but had some zest to it. Thumbs up! Overall I'm giving it a 4 stars because on how informative the staff was, accommodating and the place had a array of condiments like I have NEVER seen before. This is a great place for watching football. The staff is top-notch especially Trish. My favorite item on the menu is the Slam Dunk (French Dip Sandwich). Happy Pi Day 3/14/18 As Steve C likes to remind us: Pi (3.141592...) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. So, what better way to celebrate Pi Day than by eating my favorite round food―pizza! This year I hit-up an old favorite High Five Pizza (Hi5). It had been a few years since I last visited Hi5, but I recall going here quite often back in high school (they've been in business since 1989). I ordered up their Mini Pizza (±8"Diameter 25.13"Circumference [see what I did there?!]) and one trip to the salad bar ($10) lunch special. Hi5's pizza has held up over the years as the crust is a bit unusual but I honestly like it. Maybe because I grew up with it, but it's very good. More of what I'd call "American-style" than anything else, but not as bready. The toppings list has all the usual cast of characters but they also have pastrami which is worth noting. They use a mix of cheeses (cheddar and mozzarella) and they put on just the right amount without it being overly so. Hi5's salad bar is always a favorite and full of fresh ingredients and their blue cheese dressing is chock full of huge chunks of cheese. Overall Hi5 is probably in the bottom half of my top 10 Silicon Valley pizzerias, and 5stars is a bit high of a rating, to be honest. However for consistently good pizza and terrific prices for so many years they'll get the extra veterano star. Happy Pi Day kids! read more

I ordered a medium pizza and some how I got a pizza with a missing piece?? I've always loved their pizza but please tell me that your workers aren't messing with out food like this? I ordered this pizza through DoorDash and the place is literally less than a mile away from the destination. I ordered it for my daughter at her grandparents house and when they picked the box up they discover that a slice was missing. Definitely a High five: A friend of mine told me about this place so I figured I'd give er a try. As I walked up I noted that they have outside table seating in a shaded patio like setting and a tv to watch sports. As I walked inside I noted so many TVs I honestly couldn't count them all. I counted up to 15 but was not sure that was the actual tally. They have a bar on the right with bar stools, order area is off to the right next to the kitchen. They also have a salad bar (center back are) They have sports memorabilia hanging all over the place with lots of cool jerseys, pinball in the back next to the rest rooms and the rest rooms have speakers in them so you can listen to games. The table I sat at had bench seating "seat was torn" really should be reupholstered as a place is very nice inside. The service, while not outstanding was still good B+ Now for the best part, the food: My friend ordered a Tri tip sandwich with fries and a side of mozzarella sticks. He was gracious enough to let me try everything. Mozzarella sticks: cooked to perfection, flavor and consistency was on par with what you'd expect from the mozzarella stick. 3.5 stars Tri tip: the bread is soft, the meat is tender and had good flavor. That Au Jus sauce cut the dryness of the sandwich. Overall flavor was good but on the dry side. 3.5 stars French fries: these really surprise me they were cooked to perfection light and airy and crispy and the flavor was amazing, probably the best price I've ever had 5 stars plus plus plus. Now for da Pizza: I ordered an xtra large All American and substituted the red sauce for the white sauce and added pineapple $39. The pie has a extremely delicious thin crust. Normally I don't eat the pizza bones but on this pie I didn't even notice that it had em the crust was that good, with melted cheese and toppings going right to the edge. The pineapple, linguiça, salami, olives, peppers, onions and everything on this pizza was top-quality, right up there with the best I've ever had, actually I think this might be the best I've ever had, dare I say it taste better than it looks? let me tell you folks this pizza looks amazing and it does taste better than it looks 5 stars +++ Overall High Five is a great place with some darn good food. I stopped short of 5 stars overall because of the torn bench seat and the Tri tip was slightly dry. That being said I Definitely recommend High Five and I most definitely will be back read more

Tonight I ordered from DoorDash. High Five prepared my order incredibly fast. I ordered the Slam Slam Dunk Sandwich. The bread was really soft & quite tasty. The meat was tender & the cheese was an added touch. I enjoyed the au jus to sip the sandwich in as well, although it was just a skosh too salty & I love me some salt. The fries are super tasty too!
