The food is absolutely delicious, ordering online is simple, and their communication is always fast and responsive. For my son's 8th birthday party at John D. Morgan Park this past Saturday, they made the entire delivery and drop-off process effortless. Everything arrived on time, and the setup was seamless. I will definitely continue using them for future events and highly recommend them to anyone. My favorites are the ribs, tri-tip, mac and cheese, and the chili beans, they're all incredible!

The toasty warm cornbread went well with the meat however, I found it lacking in that essential corn flavor. I would love if actual corn kernels were present or more of a cornmeal taste. Coleslaw- Served cold, this coleslaw was refreshing and creamy. I enjoyed the sweetness and freshness the coleslaw acts as a palate refresher. Mac & Cheese- One of my favorite of the sides. The sharpness of the cheddar makes this very enjoyable. Its creamy and rich without being overly so. Pulled pork- Smoky, tender pork that is well seasoned on its own. With a good amount of fat, this pork was easily one of the best meats. Ribs- Pretty good. I feel like the ribs were on the smaller side in that they weren't as meat as I expected. But flavor-wise, it was slightly sweet from the barbecue sauce. Chicken- Smoky, tender white chicken meat. The skin was flavorful being well seasoned. The meat slightly dry but still edible. Bread pudding- The bread pudding tasted like a warm hug. The bread is cinnamony and milky, with that extra boost of vanilla flavor from the icecream. What a great way to end your meal. A few improvements that could be made: * wet wipes provided or have an extra sink close to the dining area * would love to see more veggie options on the menu for the sides. Perhaps some corn or greens. * Cornbread could use more real corn flavor/texture Service was a standout here. The front of the house staff were all really nice and friendly. The bossman walked around each table and checked on us which we did not expect since it was a fast casual spot. It was refreshing seeing a boss check in with his customers and make sure everyone is satisfied. I would come back if I'm in the area.

We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). I've been to 3 others Redwood City BBQ, South Winchester BBQ (San Jose), and Canyon's BBQ (Castro Valley) and I've reviewed most of those quite favorably, except for 1. But they have about 4 others that I haven't been but are on my list. I guess now I'll know they are more the same than they are different. I knew walking in that I was going to like it. A strong aroma of wood smoke hugs you upon entering. A cool mural outside, lots of beers and bbq on the tables, cool tunes that was all over the place genre wise. 2 Meat Combo ($26/4.5*) Crazy solid combo. Not as juicy as I would prefer but between the perfect smoke content and their seasoning just makes me happy enough. Brisket: Their brisket is awesome. Not as juicy as some of the top notch places here in the Bay, but the flavor was perfect for me. Assertive smokiness without being overbearing. Get a piece with a good layer of fat and it was basically hearty beef bacon. I rarely put sauce on brisket but theirs is not bad, maybe just a dot or 2. Ribs: Also drier than what I like but the flavor and meaty texture was enough for me. Definitely have to pull these off the bone a bit, does not easily fall off, which I actually prefer. I like toothsome versus mushy meat. These ribs do have a layer of bbq sauce cooked into them, so it has a sweet and tangy flavor already in it. But they still can accept extra sauce, as it will not only moisten the ribs further but it will amp up the tang and sweetness that pork ribs are natural for. Tried 2 sides, beans and coleslaw. The beans aren't the super sweet kind, which I liked. More chili-like very hearty and complimenting to the smoky bbq. The slaw was perfect, crisp with a creamy yet slightly sweet dressing. Crazy good, I could actually eat their sides alone as a meal. Their corn bread here is strange. It is cooked in a sheetpan and cut into squares much like a brownie. But that square is then griddled til golden brown so I totally thought it was garlic bread at first. The other bbq spots I tried from this same company didn't make corn bread like that, so this was a first for me. Probably the only miss for me here. Also tried a half pound of Tri Tip ($20/4*) Very meaty that they were able to keep it a nice pink medium, which I like. But much milder in smoke than their brisket and ribs. I ended up making sandwiches with these at home. They are sliced pretty thick so you may have to slice some of them further. It bites easier in thinner slices versus monster thick slices that will pull out of the bread with each bite. I learned that on this out so just throwing out a tip. A solid bbq throwdown with a cold frosty one, plus lots of leftovers for work lunches the next few days, is just an out I can repeat over and over. Glad I found this spot!

We recently started buying the meat by the pound, and unfortunately, we've now had the same issue twice. Last time, we ordered a pound of brisket and a pound of tri-tip. When we got home, the portions seemed unusually small, so we weighed them. Both were under 15 oz. We were disappointed but assumed it was just an isolated mistake. Today, we came back and ordered a pound of brisket and a pound of tri-tip again. Unfortunately, when we got home and weighed them, both portions were under 14 oz. That is a significant difference when you are paying by the pound. I called the restaurant to let them know, and the only response I received was essentially, "Sorry." We are regular customers and really enjoy the food, which makes this especially disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but having the same issue repeatedly and then receiving no meaningful response when bringing it to the restaurant's attention is not acceptable. If you're ordering meat by the pound, I strongly recommend checking the weight before leaving or as soon as you get home. At these prices, customers should receive the amount they are paying for. Great food is not enough if regular customers don't feel they are being treated fairly. I really hope the management addresses this, because we genuinely liked coming here and would hate to stop supporting a place we used to enjoy.

Some other good skewers are the chicken skin, pork belly, and corn. Love the drinks here too, most recently noticed they added an alcoholic blind box to the menu and it was so exciting to try 12 different mystery shots. Even though I did not enjoy half of the drinks, this is probably the most fun drinking concept I've seen at a restaurant and I'd absolutely order it again. The ambiance, customer service, and food are always all great - I'll never say no to dinner a Discovery!

Rudest assholes starting from the owner to the little idiot workers. We live in the neighborhood, and probably 10 years ago. The Owner women was so rude for no reason. She has this holier than tho attitude, and acts like the customers are a bother. After experiencing this twice, plus watching this unfold between this women and other customers, we decided not to go back. We're a family of five. So add all those pizzas, beers, drinks, and side up for 10 years and that's what they lost. Not to mention our kids play travel ball multiple sports year round, who's teams look for places to hold team events which we always made sure never to suggest H.F.P. One rude bitch who has the highest state in the company pushed many thousands away. After a couple years we tried it again, long story short, the only change was now her employees exhibited the same damn rude ass attitude with us, and with other customers. It would be so great to be able to see just how many hundreds of thousands of dollars this place has lost due to their F***ed up attitudes. Fast forward to tonight. We decided to try again after not being able to get into either of two other pizza places we go to with awesome courteous employees and owner who realize that their lifeline is their customers, we decided to once again try H.F.P. out. My wife called ahead, they answered and asked who they put us on hold and before we could answer they did. (Strike 1). We were on hold so long we had to hang up and call again which we were put on hold again. When they finally did answer, the little skinning manchild asshole with glasses on the phone was rude and asked "AM I ON SPEAK, I CAN BARELY HEAR YOU!" "WAIT WHAT WAS THAT, I'M CONFUSED LET ME REPEAT YOUR ORDER!" All we ordered was a pepperoni, sausage, and garlic Pizza, and a chicken supreme w/ white sauce, and 2 baskets of fries. SIMPLE! After getting off the phone my wife is now pissed because he was an asshole on the phone, so now she's in a bad mood. Great!!! We get there, and while paying my son ask for the wifi password. The same little idiot manchild says with an attitude "we don't have wifi." Because we'd had sodas out during the day we decided to drink water instead of more soda. My wife asked "do i get water here now, or over at the bar?" He say "You get it over there, you don'tpay for water." With a rude ass condescending attitude. (Strike 2). We they get to the table, they both are upset and proceed to tell me what happened. Not half my family is in a bad mood because of these people. I tell my son go back and ask for the pass word again that can't be right. He did and the next lady say "oh it'snot for the public." With an i don't give a damn attitude. Now I'm starting to get pissed because what should be an enjoyable family night out is not gone horribly wrong and ruined. What freaking restaurant sports bars doesn't have wifi!? And since when are we "the public!!?" I thought we were paying appreciated customers. (Strike 3). After them bringing out our fries first and like 15mins before the pizza when we wanted it with the pizza, and bringing 1 pizza out 6mins earlier than the 1st so half my family ate while the others sat. Last, my wife went up to ask for a spoon to fish something foriegn out of my daughter's glass. The fat glass guy looked and said "we don't have any spoons." WOW!!! This Establishment, starting with the women owner, and most of the employees are GARBAGE!!! I HAVE NO PLANS TO EVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! This is not an isolated incident, and has been the status quo for YEARS!!! Don't waste your hard earned money on these people or a family night out at this place. Do your family a favor and pick one of the thousand other places to go for pizza and other foods. THEY ALL HAVE A ATTITUDE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE A PROBLEM AND A NECCESSARY EVIL TO DO BUSINESS! I recently revisited High Five Pizza after my previous review got removed, hoping for a better experience, especially since we've chosen it for family gatherings. Unfortunately, my second visit was just as disappointing as the first. A few months ago, my wife and I were in line to place our order while our kids held a table for us. The place was getting quite crowded, so we wanted to secure a spot for our family. To our surprise, Mike, the owner, approached our kids and asked them to vacate the table because we hadn't received our food yet. He insisted that we needed to have food before sitting down. This situation left me baffled and disappointed. It's essential for businesses to maintain professionalism, especially when dealing with families. Asking us to give up our table for another couple, without any consideration or understanding, was unprofessional and left a sour taste in our mouths. Regrettably, my experiences at High Five Pizza have been less than stellar. I'd rate this place a F+ based on professionalism and customer service alone. I feel like it was only a year ago that my friends and I used to cry about the death of quality pizza in the San Jose area, but nowadays, it seems like we are going out for pizza two to three times a week, and it's all at High Five Pizza. With that said, High Five Pizza , last night, is at the top of the pile thus far. Small space, but kitschy décor that seems kewl And with all of the amenities taken care of, the pizza was incredible. For our first time, we got the Peperoni Pizza. The slices were perfect, the cheese blended very well with the garlic and sliced tomato. I'm a huge fan of cheese, and found the combination of garlic & cheese to be even better than I was expecting. Be careful with parking. it can be challenging at peak times. This place is out of control...everyday. Which is unfortunate because the food is delicious. The night staff is out of line, constantly screaming, cussing and yelling. They yell at customers, doordashers and eachother. The manager or owner argues with customers and everyone seems overwhelmed, drunk and unhappy. Service is TERRIBLE...here is a hint, stop orders when youre backed up. This place is chaotic and unstable...its more like a disfunctional family than a proper restaraunt staff. Last night(Friday) was the last time we will ever go there. The cashier yelled at my daughter meanwhile she's screaming for manager assistance but the manager was screaming at a customer. If you are looking for the best pizza in the bay area then High Five is the place to go. My first impression of High Five pizza was very positive because the place was very welcoming. The pizza is excellent and very tasteful. It is the most delicious pizza I have ever tasted. The service was acceptable and very fast. The people that worked there were very nice and polite. There is also a lot of big screen tv's so you won't miss your favorite sports. When you go there make sure you try the pepperoni pizza. It has very good tomato sauce and you can add meat or fresh veggies if you want. If you want good food and service I really recommend you visit High Five pizza soon. read more

High Five Pizza has been one of my favorite spots for as long as I can remember. Their pizza is seriously some of the best around -- even the cauliflower crust pizza is delicious! Honestly, everything on their menu is good, from the salads to the sandwiches and all the way to their amazing BBQ. The BBQ is only on Wednesdays, and I always try to make it in because the steaks, chicken, and ribs are absolutely finger-licking good. Definitely get there early if you want a good seat and to make sure they haven't sold out of the specials! High Five Pizza is a great pizza place that I would highly recommend. Their pizza is always fresh, hot and delicious. They have a variety of toppings to choose from, and their crust is perfectly cooked. I particularly love their veggie pizza - it's loaded with fresh veggies and the cheese is always perfectly melted. Their garlic knots are also a must-try - they're soft, warm, and garlicky. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's not just great pizza that makes High Five the place go when you..... -want to watch the game (too many flat screens to count) -are thirsty for a beer (ya, there's a bar also!) -meet up with friends (perfect location in case you don't want guests to overstay their welcome at your place) -want your kids to let you finish your meal (arcade games like air hockey, skeet ball, basketball, etc.) -watch live soccer, roller hockey, lacrosse (how can there possibly be so many fields inside this building!!) This is the absolute worst abhorrent, abominable, awful, distasteful, dreadful, foul, gross, hideous, horrendous, horrible , nasty, and nauseating place I've ever been to. The attitude of the managers at this place were so heinous and disrespectful. The managers made me feel horribly discriminated against. The way they spoke to my boyfriend was completely appalling. Never in my life have I ever seen a restaurant with such evil people. I'm hoping that High Five Pizza reconsiders its values and the people they choose to serve them. First of all I would give 5 stars to their food, esp. their pizza (the best in the west))...but...there is one gal working there who is very unfriendly, rude, never smiles, hardly speaks to customers, etc. When you want her attention, you get the bum's rush or I'm too busy (too please you ;) attitude. Good pizza! I just didn't like that they didn't let us buy a pitcher bc a football was on but yet another was serving other customers pitchers. Our beers cost more bc of it. I asked the manager about it and she just said the other server shouldn't be serving pitchers. They should have offered us some money back or let us get or a pitcher or something. The customer service here is excellent, but unfortunately, the food falls short of expectations. Despite its popularity in SJ, I found the pizza to be below average. While I understand its appeal and decided to give it a try, I've had better pizza elsewhere. The only pizza I eat! The pizza here is absolutely the best I have ever had. High Five has literally ruined all other pizza for me, no one else can compare. My friends say that they also have great tri-tip and Philly cheese steak sandwiches, but when I come here I only want pizza. This place has a great selection on their menu. Some of my fave are: Hawaiian Pizza All American Pizza Fried Zucchini Tri-tip sandwich The meatball sandwich is really good.
